my favourite sushi in orleans. usually i just do take out, but the 2 times i ate in, the service was great. i always purchase off of the menu rather than getting the ayce. mostly because for the same price i can get 2 meals worth and i'm not tempted to eat too much just because it's ayce. i'm a vegetarian and the selection for me is very good. my favourites are the tofu inari sushi, spicy avacado hand roll and the sweet potato roll. also, the vegetable tempura is really good and not too greasy. i'd only order this for eat in, as it is not a nice consistency by the time you get it home, imo. i've brought a couple of non-veggies there and they loved it as well.

nothing special. went to try out this place since i was in the area. there are definitely ayce places that are much better in orleans. many items that are usually on the lunch menu were only available for dinner. most items on the menu were either deep fried or vegetarian items. most likely will not be back to place unless the menu changes.

recent visit. since sushi village opened its doors in orleans, it became my favorite
sushi restaurant. i tried many places in orleans - none of them came close to sushi village with service, menu selection and quality of the food.

we always felt welcome as soon we entered the restaurant by its owner ann. the service is at all times professional by all of the sushi village waitstaff - particularly lu.
no one ever mentions the chefs who make it always happen. on all our visits to sushi village we never had our orders mixed up or forgotten - not like many sushi restaurants i have been prior the opening of sushi village.

my wife made reservations for my birthday celebration with my family, which turned out better then i expected. the staff went out of their way and decorated to my surprise the area around our reserved tables - nice touch.
i can say nothing more about the food - it was excellent as usual.

thank you and keep up the great work

love the customer appreciation. it's conveniently located near my house, and a buddy of mine and i go every friday lunch around 1:30pm.

pros:
-so i'm not sure if most ayce sushi places do this, but a huge bonus for me was the stamp card you get when you go, and after having a few meals (i think 9?) you get a free one.
-the wait has never been bad, actually it's always been great! never more than 10-15 minutes, no matter what size the order is. food tastes great, never had a bad plate (except for squid, but it was my first time trying it, and i'm pretty sure i just don't like squid).
-lunch price per person is $14.99 on fridays, which is pretty good in my books.

cons:
-the selection for lunch sushi is a little small, but they make up for it with a lot of other types of food, especially fried dishes.
-keep track of your order, i've had it happen a couple of times where they bring food that we didn't order to our table, but they were very understanding of it.

all in all, great place for an afternoon lunch!

uneven. we've been to sushi village a few times and had the takeout once. for the most part the maki rolls are quite good, there are only one or two that i've regretted ordering. the tempura veggies are nicely done. however my biggest complaint is the service, i've had to start keeping a copy of what i have ordered because half the time what we order never shows up and we continue to get dishes that we never order. i heard this from a number of customers sitting around me last night. this isn't unique to sushi village, i experienced the same thing at sushi kan albeit to a much lesser degree. the wait last night for orders was unacceptable given the restaurant was hardly 1/3 full.

i was told the sushi vallege served great food, so i went to there last night. everything is better that i expected. the sashimi is fresh, and the tempura shrimp is very crisp, and service is five stars! they were very busy last night, but the food were still served fast. i'll go back again definitely.

do not go to weekday lunch. the food is excellent but
if you are on your lunch hour, you do not have time. it opens at 11 and that's exactly what time the staff arries to take the fish out of the freezer (that's what the male server told us). we arrived at 11 and had nothing until 11:28 and our shrimp tempura at 12:10. the girl servers were very nice, the guy was a rude prick.
