sushi e - exceptional. sushi e has to be one of my favourate sushi dining experiences. sydney has an abundance of high quality japanese restauarnts. there are many places that you can experience and will not be disappointed. we are truly blessed to have so much high quality choices available to us. but, i find it difficult to choose any other than sushi e. i dined here last week with a mate and had the most fantastic flavour explosions. my mate had never been to sushi e and really enjoyed the experience. the food and service is outstanding, and the ability to sit at the sushi bar and discuss ideas, suggestions and produce with the chef is excellent. if you enjoy japanese food, then you will love sushi e.

i particularly liked the scampi - the flesh was firm and sweet, and flame searing it made it just that much better.

glistening and melt in your mouth, accompanied with a sprinkling of chives and sea salt, a beautiful combination of fresh fish and tangy lime flavours. juicy scallops seared under black mountain chilli and spicy mayo with a baby leaf salad ($23) scallops were perfectly seared. the blackened bits were the spices, not the charring of the scallop. beautifully fresh and still tender on the inside, with the right amount of kick in the creamy spicy mayo. dragon ash roll - seared salmon rolled inside out wrap

there's about two weeks left to make the most out of the march into merivale deals at the merivale stable of restaurants, so get booking, especially as the likes of est , felix and uccello tend to book out quickly.

amazing chefs and sublime food let down dramatically by the poor attitude of some of the arrogant waitresses. to the sour blonde ?if you don't like dealing with people find another job! we had made it clear that two of our party could not eat raw and they would have only cooked food. she then ordered them sashimi and completely forgot about one of the dishes. as good as the food was, there are other quality japanese establishments with staff (and perhaps management) who actually care about the product they are delivering. we won't be back.

my love. as an obsessive sushi eater, i have to say it is hard to top my favs when it comes to this catagory,
sushi e is amazing, for the overall experience you must sit at the sushi bar and enjoy a cocktail or two, its all about entertainment, atmosphere and dressing up for a great night. i would personally suggest that it is a romantic and comfortable experience. this is somewhere i visit on a regular basis, if your able to choose a chef on the night ura is the main chef and is amazingly talented.

i felt a little strange making a booking for one but once i arrived i was seated at one of the window tables in the corner which i was happy about because i then didn't stand out too much like a lonely 'no mates' diner. the restaurant is more suited to tw

delicious!! love the pork belly - i order it every time i go. the wagyu beef is pretty good aswell. servings are small to decent depending on what you order & expect to spend quite a bit but it's absolutely worth it .

awesome! we got given some random dumplings that were amazing. they were moist, filled with egg. the salmon sashimi was great too but only got 6 slices. don't get the deep fried wagu beef wantons and there was only one rose option which wasn't that great but would def come again - the food was good, atmosphere and music great.

we ended up at sushi e, located in the establishment building of the merivale empire, and were seated on stools at a marble bar surrounding the sushi chefs, which allowed us to watch head chef nobuyuki ura in action.

a friend told me it was the best sushi in sydney and after trying it on saturday night i have to agree. the flavours were fantastic, it was all ultra fresh and the service and knowlege of the wait staff was fantastic. i recommend letting the chef decide what to serve you which they are happy to do as you will most likely discover something new you wouldn't typically order.

great sushi. i was down-under for business and a couple co-workers brought me out here. the sushi was incredible, and the service was quite good as well.
