danielle is the best. we have been tosunin my belly twice now. the food is excellent coffee is great. tonight our server/waitress was danielle....if the food had been bad..which it wasn't be any means...she would have made up for it. she is the best!!!

the way breakfast was meant to be..sunin my belly is amazing. my wife and i were visiting atlanta for an event and on our way out we stopped here for brunch. being from near asheville, nc we are use to top upper tear restaurants and fabulous meals and s.i.m.b. did not disappoint. there was a nice atmosphere and the waiter was very pleasant. they offer common dishes but with great unique twists as well as divine original plates that make you want to come back to town just to go there. that said, i think that there's something there for the adventurous and non adventurous alike. for the two of us, having waters and one coffee, it was $25 before tip. this might seem a little high to some people for brunch but the quality was worth every cent, and we had some left overs too!

yawn.... clearly. living on a past repuation. my son got home from college and we decided to gosunin my belly for brunch we had never been before , thought we would try something new. maybe we had a new waitress, or
saturday morning was a bad time to go. the meal was quite underwhelming . the coffee took too long to get and it was burnt, it had a very smoky flavour . (not good) the meal was cold,and the food was just mediocre i couldn't understand what all the hype was about . we sat at the door near the kitchen and that did not make for a pleasant experience either. needless to say we will not be returning as there are too many other fabulous restaurants in atlanta and its surrounding area to go to and enjoy a meal. "sun in my belly" was a disappointment. :(

food lover. had dinner there about three months ago and ordered the fried chicken and my neighbor had the short rib unfortunately that seemed to be the wrong choices. the chicken tasted like it was cooked the day before and the short rib was very tough and chewy. i recently gave them another try because i was told some of the kitchen staff has been replaced. i had the exact same items and it was the best i have experienced in a very long time. what ever changes were made have renewed my relationship withsunin my belly.

poor service. i usedsunin my belly catering for an important event last week. i am very disappointed to say the least. the staff arrived late and was still setting up when my guests arrived. i learned that the owner told them to scratch out the 6:30 arrival time as stated in the contract and arrive at 7:30 for an 8 am event. in addition to their late arrival, they did not bring the equipment as stated or provide the service as discussed. half of the burners they brought were not functional and their staff did not buss tables or refill coffee as they were supposed to.

i have left several messages for the owner who will not call me back. one of his assistants offered a paltry 5% credit towards a future event. i had already paid in full before the event and feel that i did not receive the service that was promised. i am very disappointed as they provide excellent food, but cannot trust them for a future event.

our review ofsunin my belly is a unique one, as we’ve actually visited twice in the past couple of months.  the first time was during my birthday weekend, so we weren’t completely in blogger mode.  so we figured we’d take a trip back and compare both experiences. the vibe dc: the first sunday of every month, simb holds a jazz brunch, which we were lucky to experience during our first visit.  as we approached simb, we noticed the crowd of hopeful brunchers waiting to be summoned for seating.  immediately, it was clear that this was the spot to be that sunday.  we squeezed our way through the crowd to put our names on the list, and noticed the espresso bar behind the hostess stand.  knowing we’d have a while to wait, we grabbed lattes for us and two of our friends. there isn’t a lot of room inside to stand around, but luckily, after hovering for a while, a couple of seats became available (comfy couches in a small nook).  as we took our seats, the musicians began to set up, and mo

don’t we all need moresunin our bellies?.sunin my belly is located in a cool neighborhood location just west of downtown decatur. the setting is fun, the servers are friendly and the food is delicious. the salmon entrée was especially wonderful. we were also very favorably with the reasonable prices. i would definitely like to return for their popular breakfasts. i need some moresunin my belly!

sun in my belly is a decatur spot, carved out of an old hardware store. we went during lunch recently, weaving our way down scott and ponce de leon in one of the more exotic google map paths, passing everything and then coming back to the eatery. parking was cramped this day and i wasn’t certain whether we could park in the back of this place at all (there isn’t much space in their lot). but we managed. napolean complex the sandwich selection here is good. my daughter had the napolean complex (brie, proscuitto, fig jam, focaccia bread) and i had a dagwood (club sandwich on steroids). sandwiches can be small, so consider getting a salad as well if you’re not filled up. the look of the place is a little eccentric. there is a fair emphasis on catering here, something not unusual for smaller creative eateries developed on modest resources. there are consistent reports of inconsistent waitstaffing, but i didn’t see any of that today. our waiter was excellent.sunin my belly 2161 college av

i’d always heard that this brunch restaurant in kirkwood,sunin my belly, was very good.  i don’t typically go out for brunch that often, so i’d never been, but it had always sort of been on my radar as a place to try one day.  they recently started offering dinner service, so when i found a great deal to try it, i immediately bought it. the deal was for $50 and you got one bottle of wine, one shared appetizer, two salads, two entrees and one shared dessert.  that’s a lot of food for $50!  we made reservations for 8:30 on friday night and headed down to kirkwood, about 15 minutes away, to try it. (you’ll notice that everyone seems to have a bottle of wine on their table.  i think everyone in the restaurant had the deal too.)  the outside was cute, but it was full so we sat inside where the ambiance was sort of lacking.  it was very much like a bakery with some tables, but i guess that’s what it used to be.  they are also known for their ca

absolutely horrible service from the manager, simone. i was formerly a loyal customer who brought many people to their restaurant, but i had one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life atsunin my belly last night. rather than taking an opportunity to make a happy customer happier, simone stood at my table and argued with me for ten minutes at 7:30 on a friday night, then challenged me to contact the owners with her name. stay away from any place where the customer is always wrong and the manager knows ahead of time that the owner will support her over the customer. hopefully they will respond to this post and prove the above to be a fluke experience.

i’ve long been a fan ofsunin my belly . the hardware store turned restaurant has a kitschy decor with a low key vibe. they serve delicious coffee drinks and decadent breakfast, brunch and lunch options. the kirkwood breakfast of scrambled eggs with boursin cheese, the rich challah french toast with ricotta and berries are two of my breakfast / brunch favorites. at lunch i love the cumin-spiked hummus or the fried green tomato sandwich with pimento cheese. so, when i found out thatsunin my belly had started a supper club, i already knew i was gonna love it.sunin my belly’s supper club is available nightly (except monday), and can be purchased as a delicious four-course meal for $35.00 per guest, or can be....

food is good. but, the chairs and the tables are so uncomfortable that's not worth it! it really hurts to seat and eat.

food is good. when they have lots of prople, service can be slow from getting somebody to serve you to getting your food (especially, getting your food). the tables and chairs are very, very uncomfortable. you can't put your legs under the table because the table legs block everything. the chairs are very small. sometimes i want to go tosunin my belly and i remember the chairs and how uncomfortable they are and i choose another place to eat.

my favorite breakfast place. i came here with my sister, brother, mom, dad , grandma and grandpa for a relaxing sunday brunch. sunday brunch is a busy time to go, but it is worth the wait.sunin my belly has a homey setting and great for really any group of people.
i got the kirkwood breakfast. the honey glazed bacon is to die for. my dad got the challah french toast which was just as tasty. definitely recommend going here if you are around the area.
