yawn.... clearly. living on a past repuation. my son got home from college and we decided to go sun in my belly for brunch we had never been before , thought we would try something new. maybe we had a new waitress, or
saturday morning was a bad time to go. themealwas quite underwhelming . the coffee took too long to get and it was burnt, it had a very smoky flavour . (not good) themealwas cold,and the food was just mediocre i couldn't understand what all the hype was about . we sat at the door near the kitchen and that did not make for a pleasant experience either. needless to say we will not be returning as there are too many other fabulous restaurants in atlanta and its surrounding area to go to and enjoy a meal. "sun in my belly" was a disappointment. :(

yummy in my tummy. great food, reasonable price. i loved the coffee. i had the famous fried egg, pimento and cheese sandwich. i think if i went back i would leave off the fried egg. it was wonderful, and huge. i think its the onlymeali had the entire day. the potatoes were under cooked but was packed with flavor.

i’ve long been a fan of sun in my belly . the hardware store turned restaurant has a kitschy decor with a low key vibe. they serve delicious coffee drinks and decadent breakfast, brunch and lunch options. the kirkwood breakfast of scrambled eggs with boursin cheese, the rich challah french toast with ricotta and berries are two of my breakfast / brunch favorites. at lunch i love the cumin-spiked hummus or the fried green tomato sandwich with pimento cheese. so, when i found out that sun in my belly had started a supper club, i already knew i was gonna love it. sun in my belly’s supper club is available nightly (except monday), and can be purchased as a delicious four-coursemealfor $35.00 per guest, or can be....

overpriced. i started off with the quesadilla. i've never seen such small quesadilla. they were good, though. probably the highlight of my meal. also has the nicoise green salad before my meal. it was ok, but nothing memorable. and my entree was also so unmemorable, that even though i was there yesterday, i can't remember what i ate to save my life. some sort of chicken parm pasta dish. all in all, mymealwas edible, my service was ok, and the ambiance was alright, but i wouldn't go out of my way to stop at this restaurant. i'm sure there has to be a less pricey option nearby with vegetarian options
