been here twice and both times have hadgreatexperiences. the dining room hasgreatviews and wine and food are really well presented and tasty.

the food that was served was ofgreatquality and cooked to perfection. there was a big group of us, so we were able to order each item on the menu and everything was delicious. no complaints. we also ordered a cheese platter and dessert - only complaint is we waited about 30 minutes for this to come out. bit surprised as our mains came out faster?

great views and the environment was nice, air conditioned inside andgreatnatural light.greatfor all kinds of dining styles.

honestly service here overall was mediocre. the lady who served us especially had appalling service. (above the shoulder length blonde hair with a half ponytail) as someone who works in hospitality myself, i expected a place like stillwater to have a certain level of service and hospitality, however i was disappointed. we ordered a tasting platter halfway through our food because there wasn't enough but our server told us that it would be a bit too much (which we acknowledged), but we decided to go ahead with it. we finished our lunch, waited about 20 minutes and the checked to see if it was on it's way, which we were then to find out she did not put it through because it was 'too much food' but i didn't realise we lived in a communist society at stillwater. this wouldn't have been an issue if she had apologised about it but instead looked at us like it was our issue and asked if we would like dessert instead. we looked at the dessert menu and decided to get the cheese platter. i asked her whether we could grab some cold meat on the side with it and she responds by saying that we can't because it only comes with the tasting plate (which she didn't put through). i thought some compromising of her mistake would have been possible but apparently not. service makes a very big difference with how enjoyable a place is despite howgreatfood is. management need to make sure their staff are equip to deal with conflict in this dining environment.

beautiful setting. lovely gardens at the entrance. nice views from the restaurant. the restaurant struck me as good but not completely top notch. the prawns for entree were good but not outstanding. the eye fillet for main was good but not exceptionally good. we had a nice local pinot noir with them. service was serviceable not spectacularly terrific. it's a good experience here but not agreatone. i liked it but the price tag suggests something more than what ultimately gets delivered.

this was my 2nd visit to stillwater, 12 months ago it was fantastic and a large group had agreatexperience, this time it was a bit and miss with things.

90% of the food was really good (avoid the lamb it's way to fatty) but it's way overpriced for the portion sizes. service was good from the manger but other staff seemed to have no idea and it was hard work even getting a drink ordered and they completely forgot 1 of our groups main meals (i give some leeway for this as you expect some top up staff over the summer but not with forgetting a meal) it's a beautiful place to go and the grounds are beautiful but so are all winery's down there so that's not enough.

beautiful restaurant/winery! all the food we had was delicious. it has agreatoutdoor area at the back of the property overlooking the vineyard and lake, agreatplace to have a drink in summer. highly recommend

it's agreatway to spend a saturday afternoon. the service was second to none with lovely staff finding the right balance of service and attention. pork belly entree brought me to a tear, it was that good. my wife had a moment at dessert. mains were lovely but slightly over cooked. the cellar staff were the only let down. not very friendly or helpful, sadly. but overall it was an absolute pleasure to visit.

great experience withgreatfood can not go wrong here. little hot today butgreatcompany. i had the lamb and mussels both amazing. the mussel broth to die for yum yum.

really lovely venue,greatservice and excellent food! what else do i need to say? hmm,greatvalue for money: $60 for two courses, food was thoughtfully prepared and tasted scrumptious! i really couldn't fault this restaurant. i'll certainly be back with my family again!

what a find just outside of melbourne. have been meaning to visit stillwater for quite awhile and so glad we did. zac and the team provided a wonderful experience as we celebrated one of the groups birthdays. the venue is beautiful, overlooking both the vineyard and the willow lined lake. the food and service were amazing, between us we had a variety of entrees, mains and deserts and everyone was extremely happy with their meals with the only complaint being that we were all way too full. i started with the pork belly which was divine, the skin very crispy. for main i had a grass fed eye fillet cooked rare and it was sensational. i probably should have stopped there but decided on the lemon meringue for dessert and though being close to popping i had to finish it because i’d never tasted a desert with such an intense flavour before. i only drank a beer as i was driving but the table polished off a couple of bottles of the crittenden estate pinot which was very nice.

all up a wonderful experience andgreatvalue.

was at stillwater recently for a special occasion and the food wasgreatas was the wine list! good mix of local and international wines...kids were very welcome as well...can't wait for summer to get out on those beautiful looking lawns with the kids! thanks to all for looking after us! see you soon.

euphonium. it is a pleasure to be able to write another positive review about a peninsula restaurant. i decided to take my wife to stillwater for lunch, on her birthday yesterday, and we weren't disappointed. the outlook from the restaurant and the relaxed competence of the staff were agreatstart to the day. then the meal! it was one of the best meals i have eaten anywhere and the presentation was as good as i have seen. my wife is hard to please but she hasn't stopped talking about the lovely day she had.

it's always a bonus when you can rely on a restaurant and stillwater is one of these. our first visit was way back during the drought and what a bonus to look out onto the lovely lake, green lawns and an abundance of water birds, it was an appreciated oasis. it has been refurbished in the last 12 months, againgreatto see a business putting back in and keeping it fresh. the food is excellent i particularly enjoy their duck dishes while my partner has been won over with the steaks. i think for the food, views and ambiance the prices are reasonable and most mains actually come with veg, a pleasant change! we rent property on the peninsular and never hesitate in recommending stillwater, wise to book. staff also very pleasant and seem to enjoy working there, happy diner! it shouldn't have taken me this long to put fingers to keypad.
