steve's marina restaurant

very disappointed!. mywifeand i along with another couple went friday night. got there at 7pm. got seated at 7:30 which was expected. waitress was very poor and service took forever. we waited an hour for appetizers, which one didn't come out right away (tuna dip which is served cold and should be quick). after our main dish came out the waitress then brought our soups. we wanted to try the shrimp bisque soup so we didn't send it back. our drinks were refilled once in the two hours we were there (water). after asking the waitress several times when our certain foods (soup, appetizers) would be out she said "should be coming out now". finally our check came. our friends paid cash ($47) and we paid with debit ($75). the waitress swiped my debit card for our friends bill, which was lower. our friends bill was all correct with their cash paid. at this point we were pressed for time and told the waitress about the mix up. she then looked at the bill and requested my debit card again. i asked for the manager. some older lady shows up and after i explained all the aggravation to her, she then says "well the difference is about $28". i told the manager the problems we had is horrible service and y'all are not going to eat the $28 for the waitress's mistakes? she said no so i left $30 cash for the difference and told the manager i will never be back and will go to shaggys instead. also this is about our 6th time coming here and the first time we had poor service. i don't appreciate poor service especially a poor manager so i blame the manager. she should have ate $28! never again.

our experience was nothing less than outstanding! mywifeis wheel chair bound. they have an elevator that is air conditioned. great start. the hostess and our waitress, michelle s., were both well spoken, friendly, efficient, and gave just the right amount of attentiveness. the fried green tomatoes topped with crab meat were great! both of our meals were excellent. the view was amazing!

can't believe negative reviews. mywifeand i have been there several times. service is great, price is reasonable and food from salad dressings to entrees was great. redfish cat island is excellent.

great meal during the holidays. mywifeand i enjoy a great, affordable meal at steve's. i have many friends who always talk about how good it is and we were finally able to go. we had the fried green tomatoes (qty served on plate 4) and it was very good. mywifehad the stuffed fish chandelier (flounder) and i had the shrimp diane. both were excellent (we shared samples with each other).
service (jake) was great also. i will go again soon. very nice atmosphere as well.

not the same great place. what a disaster of a meal last night. picked steve's marina for my dad's birthday. first of all when my dad and stepmom told the manager party of 8 they acted like they could not accommodate. they were not that busy but said they had a big party coming in that had reservations. so they decided they could. well the waitress was obviously new on a saturday night. not a great move. we had appetizers, drinks and then food. well they forgot the salads. then they bring the salads and me and mywifehave the wrong dressing. i ordered a $20+ dish and well they got it wrong. needless to say bad experience. so i tell the mgr and tell him it is my dad's birthday. after speaking to him he said he would comp the drinks and would bring dessert for my dad since it was his birthday. well no drinks were not comp and no desserts. what a joke. mywifeand i always refer a lot of out of town people to this place but i won't anymore.

do not waste your time! the food is nasty and extremely overpriced plus the staff nor the manager cares if you actually enjoy your experience there! mywifeand i went there last night and she ordered stuffed flounder with chandelier sauce. the stuffed flounder with chandelier sauce was nothing but stovetop stuffing and celery! she wouldn't even eat her salad because it was brown, soggy and withered! i had the seafood platter! we also ordered the crab fingers for 12.95, half sautéed and the other half fried! needless to say, they were tiny and tasted like pepper and grease! the fried shrimp were hard, rubbery and sandy. the fried flounder tasted like grease and fish jerky! it was actually a horrible meal. mywifeliterally took 5 bites of the supposed flounder and was disgusted! mywifeis sweet as can be and was very polite but the waitress asked if everything was ok (like she cared) and mywifesaid she was very disappointed but still thanked her for asking! the manger troy then came over and asked the same thing. i told him the food was very disappointing and horrible and that all you could taste was indeed the celery and stuffing and he did nothing but offer us free bread pudding which was dried out, old tasting and crusty according the people who were sitting next to us! she left her entire full plate of food there on the table and refused a to go box because the food was so horrible. the tab was 60.00 dollars which we paid but i should have insisted they remove my wife's meal as she ate nothing but no, we left and politely told them we would not be back and they said, "ok, yal have a good nite", then went back to talking to each other like it was no big deal! they do not care about your enjoyment or if your happy!!! there are a lot of beautiful places on the mississippi gulf coast ! try darwell's in long beach, the white cap in gulfport and many others but i strongly suggest you stay away from steve's marina!!!!

overall good. back on the beach, great view, food good, great service, very clean, prices to match, we like it, except we felt sick after dinner because we ate way to much ! i went right to the sofa and askedwifeto bring me the remote, she said get it yourself, i'm stuffed, lol

first time for mywifeand to eat here. we were very happy with the service, food and beer. the stuffed shrimp was awesome. big shrimp and the stuffing was seasoned perfect. look forward to eating here again. we even drove from biloxi.
