steve's marina restaurant

my husband and i go out to eat often. and when we do we like to enjoy ourselves, have great service, and eat amazing food. this place falls into every category. we always have amazing service and our food is always prepared the way we like it and tastes great. this restaurant is tied for our number one favorite place to eat on the coast. i have never been experience one of those "down days" that most restaurants have when it's "just not hitting the spot"steve'smarina is amazing through and through.

food critic forsteve'smarina. steve has done a nice job with setting the atmosophere for an enjoyable dining experience. on this occasion, i over heard the server talking to some guests about their shrimp and thought...ok lets try it and see what comes out of the kitchen.

the presentation was very nice, but the shrimp was a bit overcooked. i don't know if steve has visited other sea food resturants in the area, expecially on hwy 49, but his prices are almost double to others in the area and not as good. i would recommend steve include hush puppies with his seafood..

i had inquired among the locals for "the" best etouffee in the area and they all recommended steve's. this night their etouffee was not on the menu. i guess i will never know how good it is said to be.

we have dined atsteve'snumerous times since relocating to the mississippi gulf coast a year or so ago and have never been disappointed.  in fact when we have guest in townsteve'sis quickly becoming our go to spot.  mainly because it is consistent, great greeter, great food, nice menu and attentive well trained staff.

the staff atsteve'smarina restaurant are very friendly and the atmosphere. i highly recommend the shrimp poboy. that is my favorite menu item. the service was really awesome too. i will be sure to visit whenever i am in long beach.

what is wrong with you people?. my husband and i ate lunch atsteve'smarina 4/17/15 and it was incredible. i had the red snapper and hubby had 1/2 shrimp po-boy and red beans. he had to eat po-boy open faced as there were so many shrimp. i tasted the shrimp and they were excellent, well seasoned and fresh. our waitress talked me into trying the red snapper and i am so glad i took her advice. the dish was outstanding, served with parmesan pasta and salad. we are usually in the long beach area once a month and will most certainly be back......ps, the wait staff was helpful and friendly, attentive without being bothersome......don't change a thing! if you wrote a bad review,,,,,,,i honestly do not know why....

the bad reviews are correct. we ate here 3 years ago and were looking forward to proving the nay sayers wrong. unfortunately they are right. we have eaten at a dozen seafood restaurants from new orleans to pns, and by a mile,steve'sis the worst in terms of quality of seafood and service. the staff is very friendly but unorganized. if there was a manager on duty, it was not apparent. we waited at our table for a long time before anyone asked if we had a server. when we said no, they promised one would help us but no one came. when our sever finally recognized our table, she was great but the food was bland and lacked any resemblance of fresh gulf coast seafood. there are better options thansteve'sin this area.

steve's marina'a food is absolutely awful. they have no idea how to cook fish, shrimp, steak, or crab. i honestly felt like druggies made the food. the service was exceptionally awful and every type of liquor seemed like they filled it with beams 8 star. the management ofsteve'sis inexistent. no one cares about service or quality. if i visited the mississippi gulf coast i would go elsewhere, every aspect ofsteve'smarina(regardless of the miniature harbor) is a joke. bartenders can't make drinks because they seem incompetent. i will never go to steves marina again. if you go, prepared to be disappointed and probably disrespected. if you have a problem, expect it to be swept under the rug. i like the mississippi gulf coast, butsteve'smarina should be boycotted for their business management and tactics. small business can't afford to exhibit negative qualities, if any restaurant were to open nearby,steve'swould be shut down. if you enjoy it you must be local, because they treat people without respect. owners and managers have no character.steve'sshould be closed asap

what a disaster of a meal last night. pickedsteve'smarina for my dad's birthday. first of all when my dad and stepmom told the manager party of 8 they acted like they could not accommodate. they were not that busy but said they had a big party coming in that had reservations. so they decided they could. well the waitress was obviously new on a saturday night. not a great move. we had appetizers, drinks and then food. well they forgot the salads. then they bring the salads and me and my wife have the wrong dressing. i ordered a $20+ dish and well they got it wrong. needless to say bad experience. so i tell the mgr and tell him it is my dad's birthday. after speaking to him he said he would comp the drinks and would bring dessert for my dad since it was his birthday. well no drinks were not comp and no desserts. what a joke. my wife and i always refer a lot of out of town people to this place but i won't anymore.

great food. there were 3 of us that dined atsteve'smarina restuarant in long beach last night 3-4-14. my husband and i both had the seafood platter and our cousin had the rib eye. our seafood platter was absolutely wonderful. the fried oysters were the largest and best fried oysters i've ever had anywhere. light crunchy batter, perfectly prepared. shrimp were fresh and very good as was the fish. our cousin said the rib eye was prepared just right and very good. our salads were cold and very fresh. service was excellent. couldn't have ask for better dining experience. will we return and recommend this place??? absolutely!!!!!

do not waste your time! the food is nasty and extremely overpriced plus the staff nor the manager cares if you actually enjoy your experience there! my wife and i went there last night and she ordered stuffed flounder with chandelier sauce. the stuffed flounder with chandelier sauce was nothing but stovetop stuffing and celery! she wouldn't even eat her salad because it was brown, soggy and withered! i had the seafood platter! we also ordered the crab fingers for 12.95, half sautéed and the other half fried! needless to say, they were tiny and tasted like pepper and grease! the fried shrimp were hard, rubbery and sandy. the fried flounder tasted like grease and fish jerky! it was actually a horrible meal. my wife literally took 5 bites of the supposed flounder and was disgusted! my wife is sweet as can be and was very polite but the waitress asked if everything was ok (like she cared) and my wife said she was very disappointed but still thanked her for asking! the manger troy then came over and asked the same thing. i told him the food was very disappointing and horrible and that all you could taste was indeed the celery and stuffing and he did nothing but offer us free bread pudding which was dried out, old tasting and crusty according the people who were sitting next to us! she left her entire full plate of food there on the table and refused a to go box because the food was so horrible. the tab was 60.00 dollars which we paid but i should have insisted they remove my wife's meal as she ate nothing but no, we left and politely told them we would not be back and they said, "ok, yal have a good nite", then went back to talking to each other like it was no big deal! they do not care about your enjoyment or if your happy!!! there are a lot of beautiful places on the mississippi gulf coast ! try darwell's in long beach, the white cap in gulfport and many others but i strongly suggest you stay away fromsteve'smarina!!!!

food is great and the service wonderful. had a group of 14 guests andsteve'streated us well
