steve's marina restaurant

never again. we loves coming to this place but the service was horrible. arrived at 7pm and was seated at 7:30. ordered appitizers but they came out 45 min later cold.foodwasn't any better. then they messed up the bill. won't go back again.

my husband and i go out to eat often. and when we do we like to enjoy ourselves, have great service, and eat amazing food. this place falls into every category. we always have amazing service and ourfoodis always prepared the way we like it and tastes great. this restaurant is tied for our number one favorite place to eat on the coast. i have never been experience one of those "down days" that most restaurants have when it's "just not hitting the spot" steve's marina is amazing through and through.

food critic for steve's marina. steve has done a nice job with setting the atmosophere for an enjoyable dining experience. on this occasion, i over heard the server talking to some guests about their shrimp and thought...ok lets try it and see what comes out of the kitchen.

the presentation was very nice, but the shrimp was a bit overcooked. i don't know if steve has visited other seafoodresturants in the area, expecially on hwy 49, but his prices are almost double to others in the area and not as good. i would recommend steve include hush puppies with his seafood..

i had inquired among the locals for "the" best etouffee in the area and they all recommended steve's. this night their etouffee was not on the menu. i guess i will never know how good it is said to be.

my daughter and i had dinner here after arriving in the area for a quick vacation. first, let me say that our server, whose name i do not know, was wonderful. she gave us lots of information about where to go and what to do on our trip. just great!
unfortunately thefoodwas awful. basically uneatable. i had fried shrimp that i could not eat and my daughter had snapper covered with a crab gravy which was also terrible.
restaurant was very dirty with many dirty tables and alot of employees horsing around.
i don't see how they stay in business.

visited steve’s based on a recommendation from a waitress at one of our favorite coast restaurants. no oysters. unless they’re on a poboy.foodwas good but nothing to go on and on over. no real complaints but not worth going back again.

can't believe negative reviews. my wife and i have been there several times. service is great, price is reasonable andfoodfrom salad dressings to entrees was great. redfish cat island is excellent.

date night. came here with my husband and sat on the bar side. the waitress was friendly. thefoodwas yummy. and the drinks were strong.

the bad reviews are correct. we ate here 3 years ago and were looking forward to proving the nay sayers wrong. unfortunately they are right. we have eaten at a dozen seafood restaurants from new orleans to pns, and by a mile, steve's is the worst in terms of quality of seafood and service. the staff is very friendly but unorganized. if there was a manager on duty, it was not apparent. we waited at our table for a long time before anyone asked if we had a server. when we said no, they promised one would help us but no one came. when our sever finally recognized our table, she was great but thefoodwas bland and lacked any resemblance of fresh gulf coast seafood. there are better options than steve's in this area.

steve's marina'afoodis absolutely awful. they have no idea how to cook fish, shrimp, steak, or crab. i honestly felt like druggies made the food. the service was exceptionally awful and every type of liquor seemed like they filled it with beams 8 star. the management of steve's is inexistent. no one cares about service or quality. if i visited the mississippi gulf coast i would go elsewhere, every aspect of steve's marina(regardless of the miniature harbor) is a joke. bartenders can't make drinks because they seem incompetent. i will never go to steves marina again. if you go, prepared to be disappointed and probably disrespected. if you have a problem, expect it to be swept under the rug. i like the mississippi gulf coast, but steve's marina should be boycotted for their business management and tactics. small business can't afford to exhibit negative qualities, if any restaurant were to open nearby, steve's would be shut down. if you enjoy it you must be local, because they treat people without respect. owners and managers have no character. steve's should be closed asap

good food. nice atmosphere but a little over priced on their drinks. overall thefoodwas good, not great. i had the tuna seared. our server was absent but for once during our meal and we had to wait a long time for our check. the view was nice, beautiful view of the marina.

ive never left here hungry. excellentfoodand service. when its warm...i love to eat on the balcony and enjoy the ocean view. when the waiter tells you a special, take it, something i never do anywhere else. trust me. i am picky about my food.

best gumbo ever. period.

the service was good and friendly, but thefoodwas really bland. the best thing was the crawfish tails. the crust on the friedfoodwas heavy, not thick, and no flvor. it was almost stale.

do not waste your time! thefoodis nasty and extremely overpriced plus the staff nor the manager cares if you actually enjoy your experience there! my wife and i went there last night and she ordered stuffed flounder with chandelier sauce. the stuffed flounder with chandelier sauce was nothing but stovetop stuffing and celery! she wouldn't even eat her salad because it was brown, soggy and withered! i had the seafood platter! we also ordered the crab fingers for 12.95, half sautéed and the other half fried! needless to say, they were tiny and tasted like pepper and grease! the fried shrimp were hard, rubbery and sandy. the fried flounder tasted like grease and fish jerky! it was actually a horrible meal. my wife literally took 5 bites of the supposed flounder and was disgusted! my wife is sweet as can be and was very polite but the waitress asked if everything was ok (like she cared) and my wife said she was very disappointed but still thanked her for asking! the manger troy then came over and asked the same thing. i told him thefoodwas very disappointing and horrible and that all you could taste was indeed the celery and stuffing and he did nothing but offer us free bread pudding which was dried out, old tasting and crusty according the people who were sitting next to us! she left her entire full plate offoodthere on the table and refused a to go box because thefoodwas so horrible. the tab was 60.00 dollars which we paid but i should have insisted they remove my wife's meal as she ate nothing but no, we left and politely told them we would not be back and they said, "ok, yal have a good nite", then went back to talking to each other like it was no big deal! they do not care about your enjoyment or if your happy!!! there are a lot of beautiful places on the mississippi gulf coast ! try darwell's in long beach, the white cap in gulfport and many others but i strongly suggest you stay away from steve's marina!!!!

food was good but the service is horrible. waitress lost my order, service took forever, and other tables had problems. one table left all theirfoodthey were so annoyed. too bad because this could be a nice place. i recommend shaggys right down the street.

awesome experience!! ask for brice!!! each course was on time,foodwas hot and delicious. laid-back, family friendly atmosphere right on the beautiful beach!! from new orleans and would drive 2 hrs just to visit again!!
