spring sushi

loved the salmon pizza!. went tospringsushi for my all you can eat sushi fix, the interior is modern and cozy, staff were all very nice. different from typical all you can eat sushi as i was not pressured during the entire visit to order more than i could eat. i started with the taro chips i've never had before and very surprised they tasted like potato chips 2nd was the fried rice which was a bit oily but very nice. the dynamite roll or tempura shrimp roll was ok a little bland but still nice, my favorite surprise of the evening was the salmon sushi pizza..wow i really enjoyed this! i pretty sure it's on the opposite scale of healthy but packed full of flavor and very easy to eat, i ended the meal with green tea ice cream and was super full.

nice treat. looked on us and hadspringsushi on my wish list for some time now, i stopped in for my sushi craving. nice on the outside and well done interior i arrived around 8 pm and i was very surprised to see it still busy. after looking over the online menu i pretty much knew what i was going to try, and decided to go the all you can eat route. never having toro chips or sushi pizza that was top of my list, quit enjoyed the chips and verge surprised by the salmon sushi! tempura shrimp was yummy, chicken fried rice was a bit oily and tempura shrimp roll lacked flavor. overall very nice place i was not hassled about ordering more food the staff were super friendly and food was fantastic!

an honest review. i want to start by saying that no one has paid me to write this review, however i felt the need to.
i have been tospringsushi many times and i have also been to other ayce sushi joints as well. inside of hamilton and outside of hamilton this is the best sushi that you can get ayce style.
the service is extremely fast due to the ipad menu system and this alone makes it a winner for myself.
the sushi is always fresh and like i said i have gone multiple times probably in the range of a dozen.
the servers are 50/50 i find there are some really kind and useful servers and others who think they're almost too good to even be working at such a place. i dislike that however it's not a direct reflection of the restaurant they're young kids and this is expected by at least 1 server in every restaurant you enter into.
they do need a bigger waiting room yes, but i can almost bet anyone who commented on this doesn't know how to make a reservation either.
i would like to see dim sum come tospring& then it would be the absolute total package of a restaurant!

vegas rolls are amazing! along with the scallops & spicy crispy rolls! all delicious!

ps;springsushi please get coca cola instead of pepsi or perhaps both haha pepsi takes very peculiar with sushi in my opinion.

i have never been disappointed. i cravespringsushi! the atmosphere is very modern and clean looking. the service is quick and friendly. it really is the best spot for sushi!

we have been to many ayce sushi restaurants so i feel like i have a lay of the land for this particular cuisine.springsushi's decor may be stylish and exciting, unfortunately the food was not. the rolls are average at best. rice was not cooked well, not fluffy and compacted, tasted tough like the kind you get at a grocery store. there was not much to choose from if you don't eat raw fish in your rolls. as for the other options, tempura was just ok, but the thai items were on point. what really irritated me was the slow service by the waitress, which was made worse by the fact that she had to put in a code to send off our order! so you have an ipad for convenience and speed but then you have to wait for the sever to come back to send it off for you? also it wasn't very busy in the place yet we had to wait for the waitress to not only come back to our table to send our order, but once we got the food and ate it she took forever to come back and take the dirty plates away. all in all 28$ a person for ayce is not worth it at this place at all.

good old reliablespringsushi.  while nothing to write home about, the sheer selection size is admirable, and the quality never really wavers.  ive eaten at every sushi joint in hamilton, and i keep coming back here when i dont go to august 8.

hunger games.springsushi is hands down one of the best sushi restaurants i have been to! the food is always great and the service is quick. servers know how to work in a fast-paced environment and that is key especially to an all-you-can eat restaurant. the server that i had was awesome. we didn't have to wait and it was almost like she knew we needed something because she would always be there, to either ask how we were doing or to refill our drinks, needless to say she was great. overall my experience with this restaurant was a 10/10 as always.

delish. probably one of the best sushi restaurants i've eaten. service was on point. the food was delicious and everyone working was super fast and very hard working. we went on a saturday and the wait was 40-45 minutes but we were able to grab a couple drinks and at the bar and time went by. definitely well worth eating atspringsushi.

pros and cons.springsushi in hamilton (on upper james) had it's pros and cons.
made a reservation because i heard the place is busy at lunch-time; even with a reservation my group and i had to wait 25 minutes for a table (regular wait time when we were there). - i kindly asked the hostess "what's the point of a reservation if someone has to wait with everyone else?" she replied, "we just don't have a table for you right now". - well you should have prepared one before we got there - that's the point of a reso! - not impressed.
our server (kevin) was very kind and prompt (for the most part). he disappeared for a good 20 minutes, so plates started to pile up, but good service overall. - check
presentation and portion of food was good; standard, but nothing extravagantly special. food comes out at a good pace.- check
they did forget some items that we ordered and it wasn't until we mentioned it to another server (because kevin disappeared at this time), that it was brought. - not impressed.

overall, the restaurant is okay, but i don't care to return. the reservation situation really turned me off because it displays lack of professionalism and quality service.

this is a fine restaurant.. i have eaten at about 25 ayce restaurants. most of them have been in the toronto area and in my opinion,springsushi compares favourably with the best ayce restaurants in toronto. many of my favourite restaurants have been designed by joe cho and his fine touch is quite evident in this restaurant. for some unknown reason, he had to work with a kitchen set in the middle of the restaurant and he succeeded in creating a modern innovative design that worked.

as far as the food is concerned it is quite good. i especially enjoyed the sauces that came with the kitchen items.

i had no problem with the service. it was fine. i have noticed a couple of complaints about some servers. my advice is to relax. it is not personal. wherever you go, there can be a weak server. instead, smile, enjoy the food and the décor. the place is special.

my experience withspringsushi has always been a positive one. the food is always good, service is usually quick and the ordering system on the ipad is efficient. sometimes you'll end up not getting an item, but that has always been a case with all you can eat sushi everywhere i go. twice the wooden chopsticks were moldy, but quickly replaced. $$$$ for dinner, but again it's all you can eat. when i have sushi in hamilton i usually go here.

fresh, beautiful presentation, delicious. i have been a fan ofspringsushi since i first started visiting the upper james location last year. the service is consistent every time i go (excellent service as always) and their tablet feature was easy to catch on to, and an upgrade from their previous ordering format.
i look forward to the food because i can always expect the same thing: fresh food (always delivered quickly), great taste and quality, and an always reasonable price.

one of my favourite restaurants in hamilton. the food is not only beautiful but sooo tasty. everything is very fresh. i highly recommendspringsushi. just go on a week day for lunch and you won't be spending a lot at all. they really have a comfortable and modern restaurant that would be an ideal place to go for a first date. the restaurant is beautiful inside. the drinks they make here are also awesome, i personally love the island breeze. my favourite roll here is the vegas roll, it's deep fried in their tempura batter and it is delicious. stop reading this review and go tospringsushi!

birthday dinner. i've been tospringa few times, and last was in june for my birthday - that particular meal i was very happy with the service provided.

first off it was 2 days past my birthday, but they still honoured my party as that day was the celebration. even in last minute notice, they were able to arrange for a chocolate cake for me (free). i was surprised to see it was a -full- cake that was baked in the restaurant. it came with at least 5-6 servers that sang happy birthday

food -- always love the sushi here, it's my favourite in the city for ayce. fresh, creative menu ideas. great options and alternatives for drinks (try the strawberry tea!).

atmosphere -- best ayce sushi atmosphere and brand-experience in the city. it's a professional, full experience, down to the details. makes any occasion feel special.

service -- they are always busy! and that can slow things down or make the servers feel stressed. but alas, good food brings the masses.

price -- it's more expensive than any other ayce, but if you want good food and a memorable, contemporary environment, this is the place.

i had so much fun dining atspringsushi - with the ipads, the speed of service, and the quality of the dishes, i am looking forward to going back!
