spring sushi

enjoyable. the sushi is delicious, they have a fair number of vegetarian options andserviceis attentive. we've yet to have a bad dish. alcoholic drinks are expensive, but if you stick to pop or water, you're fine.

final verdict: it's no go tempura. :(. had the acye lunch here today. the food was either really good, or really bad. the thai menu, i would stay away from. the sushi was just ok, not great. eggplant/tempura was awesome. some of the hot food was brought cold which is a bummer. decor andserviceis a plus.

an honest review. i want to start by saying that no one has paid me to write this review, however i felt the need to.
i have been to spring sushi many times and i have also been to other ayce sushi joints as well. inside of hamilton and outside of hamilton this is the best sushi that you can get ayce style.
theserviceis extremely fast due to the ipad menu system and this alone makes it a winner for myself.
the sushi is always fresh and like i said i have gone multiple times probably in the range of a dozen.
the servers are 50/50 i find there are some really kind and useful servers and others who think they're almost too good to even be working at such a place. i dislike that however it's not a direct reflection of the restaurant they're young kids and this is expected by at least 1 server in every restaurant you enter into.
they do need a bigger waiting room yes, but i can almost bet anyone who commented on this doesn't know how to make a reservation either.
i would like to see dim sum come to spring & then it would be the absolute total package of a restaurant!

vegas rolls are amazing! along with the scallops & spicy crispy rolls! all delicious!

ps; spring sushi please get coca cola instead of pepsi or perhaps both haha pepsi takes very peculiar with sushi in my opinion.

i have never been disappointed. i crave spring sushi! the atmosphere is very modern and clean looking. theserviceis quick and friendly. it really is the best spot for sushi!

one of my all time favourite places. i love the use of the ipad for ordering, makesservicevery quick and easy. the servers are always very friendly and attentive. a very clean and beautiful interior with lots of seating. the food is always delicious! there are so many different things you can order: numerous types of sushi, various appetizers, udon, teppanyaki, pad thai, etc. definitely try the bbq eel sushi and have some custard buns for dessert!

i went here for dinner one evening based on the relatively high rating. i was severely disappointed. i was expecting a japanese restaurant with with a really good choice of sushi and sashimi items. what i found was a typical all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant and in my experience not a particularly good one. the decor was ok, theservicewas spotty, the food presentation was almost nonexistent and boring. to sum up the people of hamilton must have very low expectations of a "sushi" restaurant to have given it this high a rating. i will not return to this restaurant.

we have been to many ayce sushi restaurants so i feel like i have a lay of the land for this particular cuisine. spring sushi's decor may be stylish and exciting, unfortunately the food was not. the rolls are average at best. rice was not cooked well, not fluffy and compacted, tasted tough like the kind you get at a grocery store. there was not much to choose from if you don't eat raw fish in your rolls. as for the other options, tempura was just ok, but the thai items were on point. what really irritated me was the slowserviceby the waitress, which was made worse by the fact that she had to put in a code to send off our order! so you have an ipad for convenience and speed but then you have to wait for the sever to come back to send it off for you? also it wasn't very busy in the place yet we had to wait for the waitress to not only come back to our table to send our order, but once we got the food and ate it she took forever to come back and take the dirty plates away. all in all 28$ a person for ayce is not worth it at this place at all.

hunger games. spring sushi is hands down one of the best sushi restaurants i have been to! the food is always great and theserviceis quick. servers know how to work in a fast-paced environment and that is key especially to an all-you-can eat restaurant. the server that i had was awesome. we didn't have to wait and it was almost like she knew we needed something because she would always be there, to either ask how we were doing or to refill our drinks, needless to say she was great. overall my experience with this restaurant was a 10/10 as always.

delish. probably one of the best sushi restaurants i've eaten.servicewas on point. the food was delicious and everyone working was super fast and very hard working. we went on a saturday and the wait was 40-45 minutes but we were able to grab a couple drinks and at the bar and time went by. definitely well worth eating at spring sushi.

pros and cons. spring sushi in hamilton (on upper james) had it's pros and cons.
made a reservation because i heard the place is busy at lunch-time; even with a reservation my group and i had to wait 25 minutes for a table (regular wait time when we were there). - i kindly asked the hostess "what's the point of a reservation if someone has to wait with everyone else?" she replied, "we just don't have a table for you right now". - well you should have prepared one before we got there - that's the point of a reso! - not impressed.
our server (kevin) was very kind and prompt (for the most part). he disappeared for a good 20 minutes, so plates started to pile up, but goodserviceoverall. - check
presentation and portion of food was good; standard, but nothing extravagantly special. food comes out at a good pace.- check
they did forget some items that we ordered and it wasn't until we mentioned it to another server (because kevin disappeared at this time), that it was brought. - not impressed.

overall, the restaurant is okay, but i don't care to return. the reservation situation really turned me off because it displays lack of professionalism and quality service.

have been here multiple times and consider it one of the best in hamilton. we like the atmosphere and the ipad style menus. good dishes are green dragon, las vagas roll, salmon salad, white tuna.serviceis always good. fast and polite.

my favourite place for suchi, i love their ipad menu as it makes ur life easier with a picture for each item.

it's above average when it comes to all you can eat sushi restaurants.serviceis good and orders are taken with a tablet so ordered items are documented. good place to eat.

my experience with spring sushi has always been a positive one. the food is always good,serviceis usually quick and the ordering system on the ipad is efficient. sometimes you'll end up not getting an item, but that has always been a case with all you can eat sushi everywhere i go. twice the wooden chopsticks were moldy, but quickly replaced. $$$$ for dinner, but again it's all you can eat. when i have sushi in hamilton i usually go here.
