sbow is your good old-fashioned irani cafe in the heart of bangalore's cbd. the seating is simple and well laid out, and the music is mainly retro bollywood (not at all times). the ambience has an inviting and comfortable feel to it, nothing feels intrusive.

the items to order here are definitely the parsi mainstays like the chicken farcha, mutton dhansak, and the kheema. these dishes are absolutelygreaton flavour. the dhansak was served in a typical steel layered lunchbox that i liked! as far as meat is concerned, go for the chicken and mutton dishes. the seafood dishes can be given a miss.

as for dessert, the mousse was great. there are also a decent amount of alcohol and beverage options, i recommend the raspberry soda in particular!

some downsides, quite a few items in the menu are not available at all times/served only on specific days. the service is a bit sluggish too, but the staff is cooperative and polite. prices for some dishes may not be justified by the portion size.

overall, agreatplace to visit in bangalore for the irani cafe vibe, with a good amount of spending!

i think this meal wasgreatvalue. salad, four pieces of chicken and a pretty hefty amount of berry pulao. the raspberry soda is also agreatprice for 145. i think soda bottle opener wala is a must-try. the berry pulao combo and other dishes are reasonably priced, yet deliver a fresh new cuisine. special kudos to them for using 0 plastic, including paper tape, glass bottles, wooden straws and paper containers. 5 stars from me.

i highly admire the soda bottle chain, the food is usuallygreatin most branches, and so is the ambience. i highly recommend the palak pakora chaat, patra ni machhi with lemon rice, and mawa cake. although, for this particular branch, the food is the only thing i can compliment. even the ambience included seats that were torn through. the service was very poor. our server was so clueless and distresssed; he brought us a bottle of water and asked if we needed glasses to drink it. apart from all this, they have a staff member called chandrakala, who is mute, and she is the most welcoming person you will ever come across. she greeted us, smiled, and wrote to communicate with us, saying such nice things. she made our day!

sodabottleopenerwala {sobw} is the one stop destination if you are looking for parsi food and irani specialties. it's located opposite of ub city on lavelle road. you will get the feeling of a proper irani feel once you enter the premises.
the menu in itself something interesting to read and each dish has a story behind it.greatresemblance to bombaiya dishes if you gaze through the starters. we have been to this place on a couple of occasions and it never disappointed. tried through their varied menu .
what's up for grabs
•crispy corn bhel
•paneer croquette
•egg wrapped keema pulao
•chicken berry pulao
•staff pickle achari chicken
•bohri keema pao
•baida roti
•chicken farcha
•chicken seekh kebab

and baked yogurt caramel custard with shrewberry biscuits.

there are also daily specials to look forward to. chicken sanju baba {a recipe provided by sanjay dutt himself to the legendary restaurant — noori mohammadi} is available on sundays. while the masoor ma gos {mutton cooked in masoor dal} is wednesday’s highlight.

the new menu at sbow gives a very different taste of parsi cuisine. everything at sbow is unique!

one of my favorite places for having the feel of irani culture. the music here is comfy, and true to the feel of theme. i ordered an irani chai and bombay rasta sandwich. the sandwich portion size was good, and stuffing too is good to taste. it has potato, beetroot, and other vegetables. irani chai is also awesome and what i love even more is the nankhatai they give along with it; the biscuit. the service here takes bit time. and cost is bit on higher side. overall agreatplace to stop by and have chai in the rain.

this was my first time in a parsi resturant. the ambience here is very old-school, songs played makes you nostalgic. best part were the receptionist, servers and the food of course. i had pav and mutton sillibati, i am definitely going there again post lockdown to chug beers and havegreatfood.

we had booked a table for 5, but reached and found that there was no table for us and had to wait on a small table for ~30 minutes before a correctly sized table opened up. music was too loud. when we asked if they could turn it down a bit, the server literally told us that this was the minimum volume. he later turned it down after we insisted. we finally got our table and a plate of chicken wings came in. to be clear, i’m a chicken wing fanatic and these wings were terrible. the meat itself was unseasoned and not cooked properly, the coating was thick and rubbery. we sent the dish back, got the check, and went upstairs to cantan. sodabottleopenerwala wasgreatthe last couple times i came here, but now i’ll probably never return again. it literally left a bad taste in my mouth.
