sodabottleopenerwala brings the cafe culture of mumbai to many parts of india, including the city of bengaluru. bengaluru has always had a food culture and unique experiences, and sodabottleopenerwala adds to that uniqueexperienceone can have. located on lavelle road, sodabottleopenerwala has been a hotspot for foodies in and around. we had the following while we were at sodabottleopenerwala.

we went with family for lunch and it was horrifiedexperienceof staff. they were not even servings us the food even after telling multiple time. quality of the food was bad . i will not recommended this place to anyone.

we came here around 6 and were quite hungry. the waiter said nothing is available except bun maska. so we ordered 3 bun maska and a coffee. for 30 minutes we waited just for bun maska. on other tables, berry pulao got served in those 30 mins. not only did the waiter lie about non-availability of any food, he wasted our 30 mins for cold bun maska. worstexperiencehere.

i love this place only for the food and the decor 😋
best to visit on weekdays because weekends/holidays are a nightmare with their slow confused service!
must try : mutton keema with maska pav!
raspberry soda and phateli coffee!
don't try : chicken cutlets, berry chicken pulao and lemon soda!!

pros : ambience, music and the iranian menu
cons : service is super slow, prices are high especially the breakfast options, soda drink did not have the fizz and now, they don't have many items that are in their menu.

i'd suggest you try this place, take home the differentexperienceand eat only the suggested specialities they cook!

the overallexperiencewas good for the first time visitor. the berry pulao was good, chicken was tender. kheema pav was okay and so was salli boti. need to try different dishes.. hoping for a more positive outcome from the food.

the staff is really good and especially people with physical challenges are given opportunity to work and that's amazing opportunity.

never mind to pay hefty amount for the delicious but still prices are bit costly.

this had always been on my bucket list due to their refreshingly different menu. it did not disappoint.

parking is an extremely inconvenient problem due to their prime location. the place itself is quite small and it takes time to be seated during rush hour.

service isn't very quick, but they are perseverant and dutiful.

the food was quite good, even as parsi flavours are different from what one would have in a general course of the day. i enjoyed the change of pace.

the place can be slightly pricey, but it all depends on how much you intend to shell out. there is also the added benefit of newexperienceto factor in.

i'd love to drop by some time later in the evening to sample some of their drinks later on.

had a niceexperienceeating parsi food. we ordered ppl. fav. raspberry soda, chicken farcha, salli boti and phatelli coffee. for desert, we ordered kulfi and chocolate mousse. the ambience is great. food tastes good. service is okay, expected better. overall, i had a good time.

greatexperienceand retro ambience were highlights of our visit. food was great with a hint of difference being their own additions. we were served by mr gopal who was great at giving us good recommendations.

having been wanting to visit this place from a long time, finally got the chance toexperiencethe world of parsi cuisine. being a noob in this cuisine and culture, i wanted to really see (and taste) what it is all about.
i only had a few quick bites like farcha and cutlet. i would certainly visit once again at more leisure and family/friends in tow.
the interior of the restaurant is quite quirky and some might feel cramped or claustrophobic. nostalgic old hindi movie songs playing in the background adds a nice touch. this might be the type of design reflected in bombay irani cafes.
service was bit slow although the presentation is quite nice. the staff are quite cheerful and helpful, no doubt about that.
since i have never tasted parsi food before nor visited a irani cafe in bombay (aka mumbai), i cannot comment on the authenticity and comparison to the real deal served in bombay. as sbow is managed by olive b&k of mumbai, surely they have done a very good job!
the food for me was a bit different taste than what we are used to in bengaluru and light on the spices. there are very few such restaurants in bengaluru and quite difficult to say which is better than the other.
