not worth the hype of place and the price paid for it

enjoyed a lovely lunch here. saria papad chat, parsi prawn curry and palak patta pakoda chaat. perfect portion size, good price and lovely atmosphere.

sbow is your good old-fashioned irani cafe in the heart of bangalore's cbd. the seating is simple and well laid out, and the music is mainly retro bollywood (not at all times). the ambience has an inviting and comfortable feel to it, nothing feels intrusive.

the items to order here are definitely the parsi mainstays like the chicken farcha, mutton dhansak, and the kheema. these dishes are absolutely great on flavour. the dhansak was served in a typical steel layered lunchbox that i liked! as far as meat is concerned, go for the chicken and mutton dishes. the seafood dishes can be given a miss.

as for dessert, the mousse was great. there are also a decent amount of alcohol and beverage options, i recommend the raspberry soda in particular!

some downsides, quite a few items in the menu are not available at all times/served only on specific days. the service is a bit sluggish too, but the staff is cooperative and polite. prices for some dishes may not be justified by the portion size.

overall, a great place to visit in bangalore for the irani cafe vibe, with a good amount of spending!

if you have certain dishes on the menu which are already spicy - show it so in the menu and say that you can't do anything if written in the cooking instructions

the packing of the salli boti wasn’t done properly and the curry had leaked all over

very disappointing experience. insensitive staff and horrible food quality. berry pulao was just not what i had expected, the protein was smelling so fishy. overall a very bad experience.

food is good but very poor service, even during non peak hours . use to be one of my fav restaurant. may explore for change but not for special occasions.

first they dont follow covid safety protocols, bag containing food is not sealed for delivery, its always open. bag got damaged & delivery person was holding food boxes in hand which is no way acceptable in this covid times and even any time.
vadapao was too spicy to eat, just like local shops thy put lot of red chillies in masala, in fact red chilli powder is not at all used in vada pao potato masala. their chefs need to learn basics of recipe when thy charging hefty premium price. even potatao used in masala didnt seemed to be fresh, not sure if lot of chilli powder was put intentionally to cover stale potato taste, that common trick used by resturants.

portion size for the rice could’ve been better, rest the food was yummy 😋
