while on a 1.5 hour wait at port of call, a local tipped us off that snug harbor was the same menu by the same owners. we followed up in this tip, and were surprised to find it to be true. same burger. same monsoons. much classier environment. enjoyed it much more than port of call because of the classier ambiance, and to top it off, live music!

yes they did!. my girlfriend and i went here on a whim as it was very late and we were looking for a bite to eat. our expectations weren't that high but we were surprised as to how good the food was. we shared the fried fish marigny and it was fantastic. we also had the bread pudding which was really good..... this is a can't miss

you're not there for the food!
was told by the hotel concierge that this is a great little place to have dinner and live jazz so we decided to wait 1.5 hrs for a table. if you don't have a ticket for the jazz, you won't hear the music in the dining area. hostess was not very pleasant but i guess its her job to make sure folks don't go wandering into the dining area for fun.
food was less than par. we had the gumbo, caesar salad, shrimp cocktail, chicken sandwich, shrimp roumulade and fish dish. the best dish was the bread basket....
caesar salad was skimpy and was missing the dressing, chicken was dry, shrimps did not taste fresh. the fish? i did not try...
so you go to this place for jazz and the bar....not the food!

came for dinner before an epic show by ellis marsalis, jr. the restaurant is small with a simple menu focused on fresh seafood, steaks aged in house, and fresh ground burgers. my friends had a burger cooked perfect medium and the broiled shrimp (u-15 at least). i had the fish marigny which was perfect. red fish , lightly battered with a cream sauce and shrimp. service was attentive and professional. might need about an hour and a half for dinner before the show. check it out.

trendy place with cool live music. the food is decent and the staff are friendly. good bet for a place on frenchmen street. music is out the back away from the street.

we ate here before a show because it was convenient. food was ok. three of us had their recommended barbecue shrimp. it was good but not great. it comes in the shell and it's a bit of a pain to peal. rice was meh. no one was particularly impressed

i had the shrimp cocktail , i could have passed on it, but the hamburger was awsome , skip the appetizer and go for the burger, service could use some help

very good food and service. oysters outstanding. fish marigny very good. real drinks great gumbo. bit pricey but worth the trip.

best hamburgers in town. to be honest, i haven't tried much else other than their burgers, but they are absolutely delicious! port of call is good too, but i feel the cooks at snug harbor are better.

our party of five ordered three of their famous hamburgers with baked potatoes and were not disappointed. also ordered the fish marigny- which my daughter said was too good to share! would definitely return if in the area.

just ok.... the food was decent, not great (definitely not worth the walk past a lot of better places). we didn't go into the auditorium to see the music, because on top of our $150 dinner (for 3 with 3 adult beverages) they wanted more money to "go in" and see the musicians. i understand a small cover,but it was like $12 or $15 extra for each of us. we ended up finishing dinner and jumping across the street to the spotted cat" (where the music was free and amazing!!) the only "one-up" snug harbor had was that it was "smoke free".
