slice on broadway

great pizza!. i ordered from slice for the firsttimetonight and due to some miscommunication when ordering i ended up with a different pizza than ordered. i called back and the manager, jeff, made sure to get another pizza out to me as ordered and even delivered it himself. the extra effort was very much appreciated!
as for the pizza itself, it was delicious. their use of fresh ingredients and effort to make as much as possible from scratch is apparent in every bite.
we won't hesitate to order from them again!

never again. we called to order from slice for the firsttimewhich turned out to be a huge mistake! the person who answered the phone was rude and after ordering anyway paid with a credit card over the phone. when the driver delivered the pizza he asked for the money to pay for the pizza. i did not have any cash in the house and reiterated as such. the driver left with the pizza instead of calling slice to rectify the misinformation. we called slice and explained to them what happened and was told the driver would return with our pizza. approximately 1/2 hour later the driver returned with our pizza which as cold and not at all something i would order again. spoke with chris and he stated he would refund the full purchase price of the pizza. let's hope that does happen.

great pizza and kindness. so we are returning on the t from seeing the big rubber duck with an 8 and 2 year old. unbeknownst to us the t is closing early for service so we are let off on broadway to wait for a bus to take us to our stop. everyone is starving and we don't know how long we will have to wait for the bus so we turn around and there is slice! we decide to go in and grab a slice. i have had delicious pizza delivered from here many times and it is always a delight. tonight's green monster was no exception! pesto, artichokes, spinach, roasted red peppers, goat cheese--amazing! but the most impressive part of our adventure was the way we were treated. each and every person working at slice was kind and generous beyond belief. these people seem to genuinely enjoy their job! they engaged the kids in conversation, made sure we were taken care of and enrico, the owner introduced himself and brought the kids paper and markers to keep them occupied while we ate our pizza. they have a "secret" upstairs where we sat along with a group celebrating a birthday and seeming to have a wonderful time. when we were leaving we asked about the bus because we still had to get to our t stop to pick up our car. not only did they call to find out if the bus was running ontimebut one of their delivery guys offered us a ride to our car so we wouldn't have to wait. talk about going above and beyond! as i said before, i order my pizza from slice and it is always delicious but i will be hard pressed to try another place. it isn't often you run into a group of genuinely kind and thoughtful people. thank you slice! i will make sure to tell everyone about your generosity!

best part of going tothe steeler game last night....tailgating at slice then taking the trolley. the shiras stop is at their front door! delicious as always, our favorite pizza, hands down!

firsttimeto slice tonight. absolutly perfect italian pizza. hand tossed dough, nice & thin, then baked crunchy - chewy, just the way pizza is suppose to be. we had the pizza margarita, frisky billygoat, and athena along with an anti pasta salad. yum! we live in lebo & is well worth the short drive...and it's byob!

put it on your bucket list !. when this shop opened on my street, i was thankful to have budget andtimefriendly gourmet food at my finger tips. with a fresh basil plant to top my freshly made dough, this shop offered flavor and friendly ness that you often encounter in this region. when their witty menu expanded to include the fancy pants sandwich, i knew this was the best of the best.

good food! poorly managed. firsttimein visiting tonight from north hills after hearing much about it. hoagies and slices were delish! very poorly managed however.. took forever for the food. do feel bad for employees being talked to like that too

bad day?. got two plain white slices on a busy, hot saturday afternoon and they came back chewy and tough to eat. i think they just got busy and forgot the slices were in. didn't havetimeto complain or ask for a better attempt. still, i know i'll try this place a secondtimebefore staying away for good.

baddd !!!!!. i went to order from here for the firsttime. i ordered a plain pizza and asked for delivery . i live in the brookline area and they said it was too far so i had to go pick it up . it was cold and the cheese was un cooked . i hated it . then when i told them it was un cooked they gave me a rude reply and said ; well to bad ; i can not beilve how someone could say that when i was give them my money for their product .

slice on broadway has awesome pizza in my opinion it is the best in the south hills great service great staff great delivery people all professional friendly and always have a smile not to mention are always in an upbeat minute. nexttimeyou order pizza order from slice on broadway give it a try you won't regret it. nexttimesomebody asks you where to order pizza from in the south hills the only pizza shop that will come to mind will be slice on broadway

pizza perfecto!. this was a first for me, but the nexttimei go out for pizza, i will definately stop here. we had the big moe, i think it was called, it has the pep, italian sausage and more, but it was great. i'd have eaten the whole thing had it not been for the steak pizza with red and green peppers and onions coming right behind it. the steak, in my opinion, was better than the first one, and my sister got a hogie to take home. really great food, passionate employees and the owner is just as cool. small joint, but they said they will be expanding. atmosphere is gread for everyone, kids invited! will definately be going back to see what's new if not, trying a different pie every time!

fantastic. urban spoon reviews brought me to slice, and you people know pizza. this was the best pizza i've had in a long time. friendly service and just a great experience. loved the crust and the sauce had a very fresh taste.....i did not think it was overly sweet. i always order a plain cheese pizza the firsttimei try a place to test it out. i can't wait to try their specialty pies!

5,000 miles for pizza? worth it!. when i heard that joe was opening his own pizzeria, this was something i had to see for myself. so i took a nice plane trip 5000 miles to see the beauty of pittsburgh and eat some delicious pizza. i have to say that i was not disappointed. the pizza is exceptional, the ingredients fresh and the food made with passion. i had expected to be able to have at least one criticism to pass on and i really couldn't find one. everything was perfectly done. the dough, the sauce and the combinations of toppings. i loved the frisky billy goat, and thoroughly recommend it for those intrepid pizza eaters. if i could i'd fly 5000 miles everytimei wanted something this delicious. alas, till i can, i'm stuck with substandard scottish fare.

really really good. the pizza here is exceptional. with pizza shops all over the place now, it's rare that one surprises you with its deliciousness. i live in center city, philadelphia and slice would easily best most, if not all, of the nearby pizza places (there are quite a few). nexttimei'm in pittsburgh, slice will definitely be on the menu!
