definitely head to the single o in the cbd and not in surry hills. thestaffare slow and hand out coffees to the wrong people. they don't have skim milk and the milk they did have was burnt.

single origin roasters has retained one of the top spots in the sydney coffee scene for many years, and it is no surprise why. with a constantly changing line up of single origin coffee, passionate staff, and a well establish atmosphere, you are always likely to get a great cup of coffee here.

it is worth knowing that they only have single shots of espresso in their long blacks as a means of providing a more filter like flavour profile, but you can still ask for a strong long black if you are missing the thick crema.

as for filter coffee, you can often get something quite enjoyable, and more times than not, it is worth asking for thestaffto choose for you (especially if sean mcmanus is working the day you go).

certainly worth checking out when you have time.

the food here is absolutely exceptional. it is a must go to place if you are from sydney or out of the cbd area. the servicestaffwas really friendly and the food shown in the picture (croc-ette, and the sirloin beef) was beautifully presented and nicely done.

rich, syrupy and very creamy coffee. i could have handled it stronger and heavier but this was near-perfect. i had it at a market and not only did thestaffmove the long line very quickly, they were offering the coffee in ceramic mugs that you could walk away with and then return (either this resulted in lots of damage to the mugs or they were deliberately using chipped mugs that they wouldn’t use in the shops). great service that justifies the high prices.

amazing cafe for breakfast, we feel so lucky to find this gem! thestaffwas lovely and made us feel very welcomed. we also had the pas da nata (portugal tart) which was an absolute topping on the cake to end a perfect brekky! would definitely come back whenever in sydney! keep up the good work guys!

this place is great for anyone who's after a great cup of coffee - however you take your brew, good food for appetites of all sizes, and a liking for relaxed service with friendlystaffwho are always up for conversation about anything and everything. the decor is not dissimilar to the vibe, with parachuting soldiers on the ceiling and the hand-written notes on all the branding, there's a story and humour injected everywhere, right from the menu's glossary to the single o dogbowl...
recommendations: any coffee, they have plenty of options! and the food is simple but simple is delicious, try the mothership for a full, healthy meal that will keep you going all day!check out full review at kerabeareats.com

banana bread with espresso butter is honestly amazing - the butter has a subtle coffee taste that melts in your mouth and compliments the banana bread beautifully! however, i felt as if the banana bread got quite sickening after eating 3/4 of it - to be honest i havent touched any banana bread since my visit to single o (it was just a bit too sweet for my liking). despite this, my experience here was very pleasant! thestaffare all friendly and accomodating 😊

nice place. we went there on saturday and didn't wait to get a table.staffare friendly and nice. we ordered mothership bowl and crispy salmon. mothership bowl is a very good choice for people wanna keeping fit as it's quite healthy and with good favour as well. my husband said salmon is tasty but if more sides will be better.

i love that single origin is a 2 minute walk from my place although it can be dangerous as i can never control my coffee intake when good coffee is nearby. they're always busy for a reason but this never stops me from stopping by. friendlystaffand amazing coffee. breakfast is good, simple menu which makes it easy to decide what to have.

dropped by for a quick lunch and had the wagyu steak sandwich with swiss cheese and potatoes. this dish was absolutely delicious. prices are reasonable and thestaffare very friendly. the place is frequented by many people and is an awesome place for grabbing a bite.

i get my morning coffee here everyday it is so good!staffare friendly and coffee is the best around. i have only had food here a few times as i do not work in the area but it was also very good. highly recommended.

this hole in the wall shop is always busy. whenever i can here, there is always a queue. thestaffare friendly, there are many different types of coffee beans to choose from. for me they are too complicated and i usually stick with my skim latte.  it is rich, creamy, piping hot, and strong.  that's exactly how i like my coffee. i also tried their city store but it is not as good.

best coffee in sydney and therefore probably the world! very friendlystaffand excellent food. there is nothing more to say here, except don't go! ...because i want a table all to myself!

a very busy cafe withstaffthat manage to stay chilled and friendly despite the sometimes frenetic pace. not surprisingly, the coffee is super good.

a very busy cafe with people in an out all the time. i wouldn't be surprise about it though! came here to get a few drinks on a rainy morning and sat outside. tiny cafe with happystaffserving drinks and food. i got their hhouse blended chai latte - brewed and filtered chai served with steamed milk & honey, and my friend got the english breakfast (double estate ceylon tea, sustainably grown) $4.50
stupid me didn't try their coffee which is known to be top notch! next time!
