appreciate thecafewas open early and observing the covid rules. this
surry hills stalwart is reliable. we had the chicken toastie and my pretty simple eggs on toast. (yes, added avo).

only quibble was a bit cold, but i hadn’t spotted the overhead heater which i could have asked to turn on.

with all the great brunch dishes out there now it’s been so long since i had just avo on toast, so i thought it was about time! this wasn’t just your standard avo on toast though - what an amazing combination of colours, textures and flavours!

there is no skim milk available here in thiscafethough, so i had to swap my usual skim latte for a soy latte, which unfortunately i wasn’t a huge fan of!

thecafeitself has a great fitout, welcoming vibe, attentive and friendly service and overall a good spot for a quick breakfast before starting work for the day!

pictured is the avo toast (with beetroot hummus, pickled fennel, rosella labne, olive and wattleseed crumb, charred orange) & soy latte

single o is a greatcafewith delicious food and friendly staff.
on my visit i had a craving for something soft for brunch as well as crispy bacon - so i went with the avo toast and added a side of bacon. my favourite part of the avo toast was the rosella labne - it was so flavoursome. the crispy bacon was also really good - cooked perfectly. i normally think ‘sides’ are a bit overpriced for what you get, but the amount of bacon i received was generous.

‘gone bush’ and the ‘croc-ettes’ sound really appealing too. i love seeing cafes step away from the norm with some of their dishes and if i had more time in sydney over the weekend i would of loved to of tried these meals.

over the holiday period, we finally had the time to just chill out and visit some cafes that we’ve had on our list for a while now. we do enjoy single o coffee, and have had it a lot when the roaster was previously in our local area. since it’s departure, we’ve enjoyed it at a few cafes around sydney. recently we opted to visit its popular specialty coffeecafein surry hills. in a side street that’s not too busy with vehicles.

thought i squeeze a quick breakfast before my meetings. came around 7.20am and out by 7.45am. i even scored a table inside as it was quite chilly in the morning. it’s a pretty smallcafeand do fill up quickly not long after i was seated.
i had the pork belly, very delicious had this sweet and sour green sauce around it. coffee was strong enough without ordering an extra shot. highly recommended if you are time poor in the morning but would like to have breakfast at acaferather than hotel breakfast.

lovelycafeand staff, and my friends loved their meals! i think i ordered really badly though. i decided to be experimental and order the okonomiyaki (savory japanese pancake). it was not a proper okonomiyaki though, and it had not been evenly heated up...i was quite disappointed! even the shape was very different to normal, they should change the name of that dish because it is not really okonomiyaki. i ordered orange juice as well and it tasted like the mcdonalds orange juice...i wanted freshly squeezed :(
on the positive side, the portuguese tart was very tasty and the egg and bacon roll looked fantastic. i would still come again, just order differently!

amazingcafefor breakfast, we feel so lucky to find this gem! the staff was lovely and made us feel very welcomed. we also had the pas da nata (portugal tart) which was an absolute topping on the cake to end a perfect brekky! would definitely come back whenever in sydney! keep up the good work guys!

the advantage of staying close to neighborhood is that you are surrounding by goodcafeand coffee shop.
this like caffeine paradise for coffee lover!
this place is one of them, love it!
well, first of all, piccolo will cost you $4, little bit pricy but since competitor is just literally next door.
you will have a good quality caffeine, that’s for sure.
by my observation, both barista and girl who is serving on the cashier is remembering every each and single costumer ( most probably they are regular)
good customer service and good coffee.
recommended!

hidden in a small street in sydney sits this small and unique cafe. ascafeadventurers, we decided to give it a try. just after one sip of coffee, we knew we've come to the right place. our latte tasted so smooth and nice! ordered some croissants with avocado, bacon, mushrooms and pouched eggs on the side, from their taste to presentation you can definitely tell lots of efforts were put in . we love the croissant so much as well because of its rich buttery taste. overall great experience, would definitely come back! highly recommend to all you foodies~

this was the very first coffee i had in sydney and such a great kick to stroll tbe city.

single origin roasters - as one of the best coffee roaster and cafés in sydney that have gained them the ‘legendary’ status by locals, single origin roasters combines a beautiful coffee-art with a layered taste of coffee. the owners, dion and emma cohen, founded the roasters in 2003 and have expanded the business with a warehouse in alexandria and a café in surry hills. either you enjoy their coffee to go, accompanied with a delicate nutella and banana sandwich, or comfortably take a sip on the wooden seat and enjoy their bacon and egg roll while watching people pass by on the street side: your choice

got to love acafethat cares about the environment. in their endeavour to cut their single use cup waste in half by may 2018, they've introduced the short stay. inspired by the standing espresso culture of italy you can now enjoy your espresso streetside at the coffee bar. they also offer a discount for customers that bring their own reusable cups. and their coffee is ace!

the banana bread and flat white were not the worst but neither they were the best i had tried. like several others had noted, the coffee seemed thinner than a few i had tried before. service at thecafewas excellent though.

it was drizzling on my first visit to single o surry hills cafe. albeit the inconvenient weather, i left with a good impression.
i was seated at the front table and ordered myself a cup of flat white and mothership bowl. the coffee was on point, and the dish i had tasted excellent. the mixture blends perfectly and tasted so good i couldn't waste any bit of it. the staffs were also friendly n welcoming. i love how thecafeis located on a quiet corner of the street, allowing me to enjoy the meal with serene sounds of water droplets :)
will be back for more!
