hello to my favourite branch and favourite people!

but first, food review because people come here for that. mamaya na yung ibang bagay. haha.

1. beef nachos - great as always, still the superstar of the menu. crispy chips, random tiny pieces of silantro, baby chunks of tomatoes, and sometimes may naliligaw na onion.

the size is good for sharing, legit di mabibitin ang dalawang matakaw (kaya kahit 4 people), but i am taking this for my self only. that is how much i love it. i hate onions kaya buti na lang at naliligaw ligaw lang yung 2 or 3 strips minsan and tomatoes. but when it comes to this nachos, i am looking for the tomatoes because it is complementing the taste of the beef and every other ingredient.

fun fact: i always ask for extra torched cheese because why not, comparing the serving of cheese to their glorietta branch, generous yung sa glorietta.

2. beef buritto - still so-so. for me, army navy's steak buritto is better when it comes to taste but silantro's serving is bigger. mas malaki nga lang yung size sa glorietta.

i cannot finish this since it is gigantic, i need to share it dahil nakakaumay din.

3. beef quesadilla - not the usual flat quesadilla. you need to use spoon and fork, not your typical finger food. masarap pero di ko maalala bakit, so di siya ganon ka-remarkable sa dila ko pero orderin niyo na rin kasi masarap fries na kasama neto.

again, good for sharing para sa typical na matakaw, unless super halimaw ka kumain.

4. caliente chickenwings- medyo spicy (as expected) pero yummy! thewingsare from the gym, ilang buwan muna sila naglift ng dumbells before i-serve (yes mam ser boss amo ganon po sila kalaki.)

this is already good for 2-3 people tapos order ka din ng rice and extra rice kasi masarap din kanin nila, not just steamed.

everything above is good for sharing kasi nashshare ko talaga. trust me, sobrang lakas ko kumain to the point na pinipigilan na ako ng lola ko. take note, lola ko yon. but going back, lahat masarap, wala kang pagsisisihan. pricing is dapat lang, medyo pwede pa nga nilang mahalan sa dami ng serving pero tama na yan para lagi makakain mga students. the staff are always awesome and accommodating. kahit na sobrang pagod nila kasi sobrang daming kumakain dito, they will always smile and happily serve everyone. the place is squeaky clean too!

waiting time: di ka aabutan ng gutom at inis kung kumain ka na bago ka kumain dito. sobrang daming tao, baon ka skyflakes.

the beef nachos and the calientewingsused to be great. but today, the both dishes were the worst. the nachos were served cold and have gone flat, instead of the heaping mound they’re supposed to be. the cheese was cold, stale and rubbery ‭too. thewingswere bland. the service was just as bad. server yson was rude, bella was slow and manager tonio was not very helpful. we complained about the nachos, none of the three, not even the manager bothered to have it replaced, despite us requesting so. they all kept insisting that that was how it was, which was not true because we have eaten here before and we compared the orders if other tables, which looked fresh, heaping mounds of nachos. yson kept suggesting that we cancel the order (which was already on the table), and proceeded, without our consent, to take the plate. we were under the impression that the service staff were inefficient and because they are used to serving the younger crowd who would be happy with whatever food is in front of them, they seemed amateurs. please train your staff and improve your food because it is clearly deteriorating. until then, my family, friends and i will not return.

dined here on a thursday lunch, the place is already full but we were able to get a seat outside.

we ordered the following foods:

1. beef nachos - i literally uttered “wow” when the server handed the platter to us. the melted cheese on top topped with tender cuts of beef is for the win. it was soo good plus the serving can feed 4-5 people.

2. beef quesadillas - it was so good, i forgot about the calorie. 😂 the cheese and the beef was so perfect. serving size is good for 2 hungry stomachs.

3. calliente chickenwings- sweet and tasty, good for 2 people.

4. grilled pork ribs - wasn’t what i expected. the meat wasn’t tender enough, and i wasn’t able to eat much.

5. grilled porkchop - this one is sulit. there were 2 pieces of large porkchop, grilled to perfectiom. sweet and tender.

6. silantro steak - paired with fries, the rice is a separate order. you have options on how
you want it to be done. the serving is good for 2 people.

service - we were seated at around 12nn. we were able to eat at around 1:00. so i guess, that’s like 45 -50 mins waiting time. the only order that was served fast was the beef nachos, but the rest of the order took a lot of time. i wouldn’t suggest to dine here during lunch break most esp if you are pressed with time.

judgment: i would come back because of the serving size. i think it’s sulit and it’s actually good when you are with family and friends.

i went here with my family last saturday. and as expected, long line awaits. but it was worth it! menu prices are wallet-friendly. we ordered a lot and spent less than what we expect. i really love theirwingsand nachos.

silantro used to be one of my favorites. this is purely based from my last dining experience.
quesadilla wasnt the same anymore, fries were useless, the sauces were still good though!
thewingsfor me downgraded with the taste, the porkchops were good!
lambchops, same with the wings, downgraded but it was still good, just too much litid.
avocado shake was really good! the paella was really bad for me, it was really bad.
service was great though!
will be coming back still.

it was our first time in silantro located at up town center and it's superb! the food are so delicious and worth the price. we ordered nachos, paella chickenwingsand steak. we went there on a saturday around 4pm and still jam-packed! we are number 10 in waiting list but we don't mind. 😀 i just hope they will open a branch in trinoma. 🙏

the best filmex resto for the taste and value for money. servings are generous and their prices are so much more than reasonable. their nachos are the crowd drawer. the callentewingsare great as well. burritos and nachos are one of the best in town too. a word of caution however to those who plan to eat there on weekends: waiting time is minimum 1.5 hours. last time we were there, it was a 2-hour wait. tip: have your name listed and and do your shopping or window shopping after and check every 15-20 minuntes how fast the list is being cleared. make sure you dont miss your number. i would have given a rating of 5.0 if not for the outrageous waiting time. hope they get to expand their space to be able to accomodate more diners.

will keep on coming back to this place (as long as the prices don’t go up lol). real ogs know that silantro is one of the best restaurants in kapitolyo, if not the best restaurant in kapitolyo. service is awesome, prices are cheap and food is to die for. must try the nachos (i prefer chicken), quesadillas, calientewingsand their burrito. their sauces are all bomb (and refillable!!!). overall, everything is great here.

waiting time - around 20-30 minutes during lunch time
food - nachos and buffalowingswere good. didn't like the quesadilla, the filing, cheese and bread were not a perfect match for each other. it tasted as if there was a missing ingredient on it.
ambience - nice for a lunch talk with your friends.

its just funny that people use utensils for nachos which is supposed to be a finger food.

silantro is my go to place for mexican food trip. callientewingsis my top pick followed by their beef nachos with their awesome sauces!!! ❤️

food is really great and also worth it for the price. only downside on this branch is that it has limited seating and the tables and chairs are kinda old.

definitely the best restaurant for us! we tried their branches in up town center and in laguna but their kapitolyo branch is the best so far. been coming here almost every week on my days off. legit burrito and calientewingsand their paella is so good too. highly recommended.

my family and i were looking for a resto that we haven’t tried before and we saw the bright signage of silantro in uptc and decided to eat there.

when we got there, there’s a long queue and the customers will need to write their names on the list and after a few minutes the receptionist will call each to get the orders.

it was worth the long wait.

lucho tacos (complete) - soft tacos and savory meat, good for two persons
chicken burrito - loaded and flavorful, good for two persons
beef nachos - the best! the nachos used are high quality, it doesn’t taste like the normal nachos you buy in cinemas or food stalls. the cheese doesn’t taste like the normal cheese you use at your home. overloaded with tomatoes and beef.
calientewings- not too spicy and not too sweet.
paella fajita - the rice was a bit sticky.
lamb chops - tender and savory. mashed potato was perfect.

the only con is the drinking water, i assume that it’s a tap water, this is why i’m giving them a 4. would love to give them a 4.5 pero 4 lang agad. haha.

they have the best nachos!!! unlimited dips and all you want to say is, sir can i have a refill 😄 i also like the chicken wings! it’s very savory you wouldn’t forget the taste for sure! best combination nachos and chickenwingsand a beer if you’re a master of drinks.
