we like "clean food" that is not greasy or overly sauced and this fits the bill. good food, good prices, and good service in a fun environment. highly recommended.

good lunch!. a few of us from unf really enjoy coming here for lunch. great homemade salsas at the bar and tasty fresh eats. i always get a number 1 with chicken and love it with fresh lime squeezed on it (corn tortilla street tacos). it is cheap and always fresh. the owner is incredibly friendly and we have always had excellent service when visiting. we can get in and out quickly and for a good price. the owner often brings fresh chips to the table for us gratis. we always have a good experience.

nothing great. my husband and i decided to stop here for lunch after reading all the great reviews. we were disappointed. the food didn't taste great at all. very bland. we had the california burrito and the chimichanga. the person greeting us/taking our order wasn't friendly. the salsa bar was ok, nothing great. definitely will not return. the rice and beans option was very bland as well.

amazing food!. best mexican in town! johnny was such a great host and the food was amazing. my girlfriend and i each had the burrito california and it was perfect. the queso is perfect, and the burritos are stuffed to the brim with meat, not rice like at moe's or chipotle. i can't wait to go back, and be sure the try to wine margaritas!

great mexican food. i'm from southern california and know what real mexican tacos are supposed to taste like!! i had carnitas and asada mexican tacos. the best i have had since i moved to florida!!! i would highly recommend si senor! a must try!!!

all of the pictures looked great and they reviews were wonderful, so we gave it a shot and found a new favorite! one of my favorite things about si senor fresh mex is the salsa bar. they have 6 different types...

i'm a frequent customer :). from the moment you are greeted by the friendly owners to the time you take your last bite, you will feel great. the food is beyond amazing. fresh ingredients all the way. a few recommendations: shredded chicken torta (sub sour cream instead of mayo!), steak and chorizo (which is exceptionally good here) mexican tacos, the sopes! oh.. just the whole menu really you can't go wrong!

amazing food. visited si senor today for lunch for the first time. had the burrito california. my wife had the tacos al pastor. compared them to other restaurants. we greatly enjoyed our food here. so tasty and fresh. this will become our go to place for mexican food. restaurant very clean and the staff very friendly. prices very good. give it a try. highly recommended.

this is one of my favorite places to go to! the good is delicious and it's relatively inexpensive. the people are also very friendly.

very fresh. i was nearby and decided to stop in for a quick bite due to all the good reviews here on us. it's tucked into a little strip mall and and a bit hard to find, but is certainly worth the effort. the restaurant is clean with very friendly staff. the food was super fresh and put together with care. i just got two tacos this visit, but look forward to trying more next time i'm out that way.

super nice place with the real deal mexician food. well i say yea their that good. i have had some pretty darn good mexican food here in town but this place just topped the whole restaurant scene here in jax. we were greeted by a very nice gentleman at the counter when we entered. with further discussion we found out he owned the place. he explained the menu item to us in his heavy mexican accent and broken english. we looked, we asked questions and then i ordered the tacos one with pork (carnitas) and one with chicken (pollo asada). the wife had the enchiladas suizas. we talked to the owner only for a short time finding out that this is his first restaurant and he is from chicago. i also showed him my yelp account an he had know idea that there was such a site. i also showed him that the place had the highest rating that they could get and that's why we traveled 25 miles to eat here. when our food arrived it was quite pretty and smelled like mexican heaven. now the pork was melt in your mouth tender and the flavors were amazing. i have to get the recipe for this one. the chicken was also as tasty. now the tacos were stuffed to almost overflowing. there was so much meat on them that there was no picking it up and folding over the tail end. that way nothing falls out. now the enchiladas were very scrunches nicely spiced and rolled in very soft tortillas and covered with a white creamy mix of tomatillo and queso fresco mixture that just excited your taste buds. i could tell that the owner was very nervous about our opinion of their food and then very happy with our approval of it. i can't wait to return to si senor and feast on their little more authentic real beef (beef tongue) on fri, sat, if any are left sunday or the house made torta bread in the very near future either. maybe lunch today.

as authentic as you can get with being in mexico! i had the #2 with steak. sooo good! we will be here every wednesday befor we go bowling. owner was amazing

i had my first experience with si senor today and i am excited to say it will not be my last! finally a mexican restaurant that does not make you feel like you killed the cat in the alley behind the kitchen and ate it smothered in mystery sauce. the service was outstanding, the salsa was fresh, and they had horchata which made it feel that much more original. the location is a little hidden, but i will definitely be going back!

pleasant surprise! this hole-in-the-wall serves fresh, savory dishes. the carne asada could not have been more tender. the server is personable and upbeat. i'm yet another satisfied patron.
