shmoozie's hand-crafted ice creams

quaint little dessert place with an amazing ambiance. well curated menu.
tried on of their popsicle (tender coconut) and their banofee pie ice cream with brownie. the brownie was a little too sweet for my liking.

this is one of the places which i wanted to try for a long time owing to their reputation, their desserts. 
tried out different varieties,


watermelon popsicle - the usual ice stick, less sugary and was just okay

coconut caramel cashew - coarse texture with crunchy cashews; the nutty flavor was overpowering

salted caramel with sea salt - too good with pieces of caramel all around, salt and sweet combo always strikes a home-run

peanut butter chocolate - thick scoop with the rich buttery flavor, not the usual but good

chai spicecream - not a fan of cinnamon in desserts; would taste splendid for all tea lovers

butterscotch almond brittle - the crunchiness from the crystals were spot on and it melts as it rolls down the tongue, too good

dulce de leche - the caramelized milk was so evident with so much taste from the condensed milk, wow

banoffee - banana with toffee, had a fruity kick with the taste of any confectionary, just okay


on the whole, there were a few hits and misses but this place is perfect for a peaceful after-meal break. 

they've got good seating space, decent lighting and kiosk type service. nothing much to complain about parking space and personally the price was a tad bit on the higher side.

omggg!! it tasted like heaven... bit expensive. but worth the money.

new found favourite ice cream destination!

tucked in a quaint house along the streets of egmore, which cuts you off from the city's hustle bustle, is this little heaven that serves some brilliant ice creams. with very aesthetic outdoors and a cute, quirky set up indoors, it serves as the perfect spot to grab a scoop(or two!).
all the ice creams are made with absolutely no artificial essence or colours and flavours are made from scratch, which is quite rare to find nowadays.
tried quite a few flavours during my visit which were salted caramel, pb & chocolate, grapeful (black grape), coffee cinnamon almond and belgian chocolate. the flavour of each one of them was mind blowing and the texture was spot on. also tried their icecream crumble bars. being a caramel lover, i went with the 7th heaven which is salted caramel ice cream held in a buttery biscuit base topped with candied pecan and more caramel, which was absolutely delightful. i instantly concluded that there's has got to be one of the best ice creams that i've had in the city. also tried their watermelon popsicles, during an event, and it was so simple yet satisfying on a hot summer day.
they've quite a nice variety of flavours with something for everythome, ranging from seasonal favourites to all time best sellers. service was extremely courteaus and we were patiently helped with selection and recommendation of flavours.
1 serving comes with 2 scoops of your preferred flavour. it may seem relatively pricy for a serving but in my opinion, considering the quality, it's totally worth it.

would 100% recommend this place to any looking (or not) for rich, creamy, delicious frozen goodness to end a meal (or have as an entire meal! jk!)

shmoozie's is the latest entrant to chennai(as an almost replete dessert bar). i was introduced courtesy of a family member who loves desserts. :) located in egmore, they have a good setup that doesn't scream out for attention but is soothing to the eye. good interiors and great ambience. they even have games to keep the ever busy brains busy. their competency i must say lies in their ice creams for sure. they have a fabulous collection of hand crafted ice creams(taste bud tantalizing flavors, i kid you not!!). from their chilli guava to watermelon and strawberry ice creams (and many more), all of them were highly satiating as was the quality. i am not a stickler for fruits much, yet, i found myself relishing these flavors. for kids who have an aversion to fruits, they might rethink it when they are faced with a scoop from shmoozie's. i ended up gobbling a tart called cbc, that i must admit was skeptical to try out in the beginning. yes, they do have pies, tarts & cakes. they do home delivery and packaging is neatly supported with dry ice. a 5 on 5 because they didn't and can't go wrong from here. a great alternative to other gourmet ice cream parlors out there. vfm without a doubt.

absolutely hand-crafted. i so love their taste. i ate their icecream at the wcc fest'eve. the person at the counter was such a sweet & helpful lady. i had a scoop of icecream which costed rs.100 and i must say, it was worth it, so yummy and super delicious. ❤❤

hands down , its the best place to have ice cream !! i’m not even exaggerating, this place has all my heart ❤️ sucha a lovey-dovey ambience and a lot of flavours to choose from !! juz visit this place have your fav ice cream to relax and feel stress-free !! they have their own production unit and it’s all natural !! i can even sit and admire this place all day 💕😍

lovely tats the word ..for the icecream s these guys make 😊😊we got the dark chocolate,chai spice ,roasted almond and ginger icecream delivered via zomato ..the icecream arrived quite early n was neatly packed too 😊all the icecream s were heavenly..we would ve been more happy if they had served a little bit more .. would love to try all der flavour s soon 😊😊

its an absolute delight to have icecreams over there. the ambience is extremely good with all plants . you have both indoor and outdoor seating. its the best place to go relax spend time and enjoy the handcrafted icecreams

another place i had been wanting to go for a long time! this place is kinda difficult to locate as it in a small street off poonamalle high road( place is run by the owner from her house).. they serve 100% vegetarian ice creams with only natural flavors! we ordered the following
banoffee pie, butterscotch, belgian chocolate, dark chocolate, mango mint and chilli gauva!
all the ice creams were really good with a special mention for the mango mint and chilli guava (wanted more but they had only one pack as the pink guava was not available anymore). the fruit based ice creams are freshly made according to the seasonal availability of the fruits! would like to visit again to try out the other flavors soon!

i came to know about them through instagram, was impressed to see 100% vegetarian and handmade icecream, i guess this is the first handmade icecream + vegetarian in chennai, i ordered zapota- it was so fresh, so good tasted just like chikku fruit and dark chocolate indulgence perfect with hint of coffee - perfect blend of chocolate and coffee

me and my friend went for an exhibition in the humming room, knk road where shmoozie's had put a super cool stall of their icecreams.
they had a great variety with super new and refreshing flavours. flavours which we can never imagine or tasted before here in india.
i tried the coffee, cinnamon & roasted almond and also the callebaut belgian chocolate.
the scoop of icecream was creamy and it tasted divine.
loved both the flavours. we also a got a spoon of the fig jam and pecan shortbread flavour, it tasted really excellent !
i would surely recommend this place!

visited with my friends we have ordered zapota, fresh mango and belgian chocolate. the taste was average. i tried dark chocolate indulgence that was good.
