this is not a paid review:
this is overall has been a different experiences for me. the first time i rode my car through those gates and i found a classic 90's home. with few led lamps hanging around the corner, you find a small cozy place with high raised tables!
i went in straight and asked the waiter for the best he had is store! he ran upstairs and brought down chilli guava which by far is the best hand crafted home made ice cream i ever had! you get a small sized cup serving which would not satisfy your taste buds completely but you could anytime go for another round :p
i also wanted to thank the owner for her best service and she immediately came down to meet us. all she says is
"happiness comes with customer satisfaction and you made my day".
actually thanks kshama, you made my day. :)

i came across this place on instagram and had been wanting to visit for over a month. luckily an ice cream enthusiast school friend had come over to visit me and i suggested visiting this place. we expected a regular ice cream place, and boy we were in for a surprise! the entrance of the place itself is decked with fairy lights, and it leads you in to this quaint and cute little space. we were so charmed by it at first sight.

we thought we'll place our order and catch up over ice cream, but we spotted board games and a sly grin at each other meant a match was on. there was scrabble, monopoly and other games that i can't remember. so we brought the scrabble board back to our table, coz it was a childhood favourite.

we ordered the banoffee pie crumble, and it was priced at 600. fairly expensive for the portion size was the first thought, but it tasted so good and fresh that we didn't care about the price. it tasted like my childhood. sweet, along with a dollop of nostalgia. my friend and i got so lost inbetween the ice cream, scrabble and conversations that we lost track of time.

overall, we were 2 happy faces with ice cream smeared lips when we left. i'm gonna make it a point to come here with each friend of mine, and that's a lot!

good ice cream flavours. different from the usual available ones. tried belgian chocolate, chai spice cream, coconut caramel & cashew and tender coconut. all were good. texture was good, not very icy. flavoring was spot on. not to sweet.

one drawback is that they make ice cream only on mondays and then use it for whole week. hence some flavor become out of stock soon due to popularity. had the experience with their mint flavour.

otherwise a premium ice cream place. @120 rupees a scoop it's on the higher side.

calling all the ice cream lovers to the ultimate ice cream destination of the city ! it's literally a fairy castle in real. i'm so glad that i found them ! i'm a foodie at heart, but also a health freak.

the owner kshama explained how every flavor was made in house.
all their ice creams are no added colors and preservatives ! ftw ! ♥️😱

freshly made ice creams right from the scratch. a dream. truly.

talking about the ambiance, it gave me the feeling of living "banglore days" movie. it was so charming, simple and pretty. just being in the ambiance and grabbing a scoop will be an instant mood lifter !

menu : the flavors keep changing, depending on the stock and season of fruit, dry fruit etc.
varities served are as a scoop (120 inr), ice cream cake squares - ice cream topped on a square shaped cake base ( 80 inr/ pc), tub - a big tub of the ice cream, preferred for stocking up at home (500 inr), sandwich - ice cream sandwiched between two pieces of warm cake (220 inr), crumbles - a cookie bowl filled with ice cream and topped accordingly (600 inr) this serves for 4 to 5.

all their ice creams are so smooth and tastes heavenly.

i had a taste of all their flavors, unique and stood true to it's name. some exotic flavors which baffled me are peanut butter and chocolate, chai spice cream, honey ginger granite molasses and backyard mint refresher. i bet you won't get all these elsewhere in the city !
so ditch the usual ones and try some variety i say !

i tried :
banoffee in crumble : no wonder that it's their best seller. banoffee pie ice cream topped with caramalised bananas. and it's the yummiest slice one will ever have. crunchy base, filled with smooth and oh so creamier icecream topped with bananas. this was so good !

belgian chocolate in scoop : so smooth, so perfect. chocolaty indulgence in ever spoon. perfect for the chocoholic in you.

butterscotch ice cream with chocolate cake in ice cream cake squares - i love love loved this one, as a butterscotch lover. smooth ice cream with a bite of cake ! so good, melt in mouth delicacy. literally.

coconut ice cream with toasted cashews, another scoop !
this ice cream is made from coconut milk and also has a hint of cashews. the slices of coconut comes along and adds a bite to the smoothy indulgence !

bottom line - unwind and indulge. best ice cream place ever. period.

something which is very much inside the city but at the same time gives the feeling of missing all the city's chaos was this 6 months old shmoozies. just opposite to the road where links and alagappa school, small lane leads to nowhere located this house plus baking place plus cafe with both trees surrounded outdoor and ice creams filled indoor. romantic, peaceful, beautiful, calm yet simple was the ambience.

had a try of almost all their flavours kept, i should say every single mouth our palate gets to have totally different taste. ended up loving belgian, coffee, dark chocolate, coconut and other flavours which i haven't seen in many places before, honey ginger, chai spice, chilli guava and so on. a scoop of ice cream cost 120 ₹, half litre is 480 ₹ and one litre costs 830 ₹. took up scoops of callebaut belgian, honey ginger and coconut.

their other specialities included ice cream squares and sandwiches costing 80 ₹ and 200 ₹ approx since the latter should be ordered a day earlier, chose square which comes in 2 flavours, butterscotch with chocolate & apple cinnamon with vanilla. again chose the former that too on repeat of the order, since it was so very authentic. chocolate cake at the bottom was moist the 1st time we ordered, it became little thick the next time yet with the butterscotch ice cream drooling over the cake, it was hard to resist having a bite of that.

they are very famous among the food circle for this crumbled cakes which comes in 5 flavours. ordered banofee pie with banana layered at the top, crumbled at the sides with the addition of butter, milk and sugar. only thing i felt was it gets too sweetened after few bites. available at 600 approx ₹, 4 or 5 people can share this together.

overall : while at this time where so many new dessert places are coming up, specializing in waffles, rolls and so on, having shmoozies as a complete non commercial with hand crafted baked ice creams, unique flavours with no preservatives or additives, the owner kshama deserves a special mention and i wish shmoozies reaches to every category of dessert loving people.

cheers :)

went on a drizzly evening. absolutely beautiful place. ambience was spot on. interiors tastefully done. so was the ice cream itself. salted caramel was the best of what i tasted. they don't have the entire menu on display for taste. the one and only minus. crumbles @ 600 is probably a little expensive, but not by that much.

schmoozies has a very unique set of flavours and none of these you can find in every other ice cream parlour. the crunch element they bring in every flavourb with a shortbread or crumble is what i loved the most. i tried the apple cinnamon and fig jam ones and would definitely go back to try out more flavours.

great place for ice cream! the flavors are all natural, everything is homemade and delicious! i had grape ice cream and salted caramel ice cream. loved it!
the staff is very friendly and the place an absolute gem in chennai! there is outdoor seating and a very nice patio. i highly recommend this place even though i am torn to advertise it because i would not want it to become too popular and crowded! ;)

tasty natural home made ice creams are available here. almost all the ice creams i tasted were exquisite yet, i chose the chilli guava. it tasted typically like eating a guava with salt and chilli powder. they've perfectly infused the taste of all the flavors in ice cream. this place really small but their ambience is really good. it is located inside a house. if you are bored of regular ice creams this is the to go place for you.
