shmoozie's hand-crafted ice creams

this is one of the places which i wanted to try for a long time owing to their reputation, their desserts. 
tried out different varieties,


watermelon popsicle - the usual ice stick, less sugary and was just okay

coconut caramel cashew - coarse texture with crunchy cashews; the nutty flavor was overpowering

salted caramel with sea salt - too good with pieces of caramel all around, salt and sweet combo always strikes a home-run

peanut butterchocolate- thick scoop with the rich buttery flavor, not the usual but good

chai spicecream - not a fan of cinnamon in desserts; would taste splendid for all tea lovers

butterscotch almond brittle - the crunchiness from the crystals were spot on and it melts as it rolls down the tongue, too good

dulce de leche - the caramelized milk was so evident with so much taste from the condensed milk, wow

banoffee - banana with toffee, had a fruity kick with the taste of any confectionary, just okay


on the whole, there were a few hits and misses but this place is perfect for a peaceful after-meal break. 

they've got good seating space, decent lighting and kiosk type service. nothing much to complain about parking space and personally the price was a tad bit on the higher side. 

i came to know about them through instagram, was impressed to see 100% vegetarian and handmade icecream, i guess this is the first handmade icecream + vegetarian in chennai, i ordered zapota- it was so fresh, so good tasted just like chikku fruit and darkchocolateindulgence perfect with hint of coffee - perfect blend ofchocolateand coffee

visited with my friends we have ordered zapota, fresh mango and belgian chocolate. the taste was average. i tried darkchocolateindulgence that was good.

shmoozie’s is a great place to hangout with friends and family however it’s a small cozy set up with simple ambience. i got to taste their dessert of the day which was brownie + ice cream +chocolatesauce. the dessert tasted pretty good but the size of the brownie was really really tiny and does not balance well with the price i paid for it. they could definitely do better with the quantity.

the handcrafted ice creams (brownie belgium and darkchocolateindulgence) were really good.

i had expected a lot from all the raving reviews mentioned but was slightly disappointed with the food quantity.

banofee pie and bluebery cake&butter cream
these two flavours were the absolute best.
most recommended.soft icecream with no artificial flavours.definitely worth it.
also tried belgianchocolatebut didn't like it that muchh..
also tried their biscuit bottom icecream.
same icecream with biscuit crust bottom.
didn't find it worth the money though.
so just order scoop icecream of above mentioned 2 flavours and you shall hav a good time.

it's located near dasaprakash signal. the best thing about the place is the ambience. they have board games to chill. tried the cookie and date sauce ice cream and was really good. ordered a belgiumchocolatecrumble bar and was delicious but the size was small. also got achocolatecake which was decent. the prices are high but worth the taste.

first things first, this place is totally instagram-worthy! it's a cosy little ice-cream place with great interiors.

we had two scoops of callebaut belgianchocolate(which has cocoa nibs swirled into ice-cream) and banoffee pie cream. their watermelon sorbet was a bit too sweet for my liking.

we totally dig the eco-friendly bowls and cutlery. can't wait to try their crumble bars!

i love the place. the ambience is nice with indoor and outdoor seating with enough parking space. it's located at a very quaint place behind sudha hotel and left street to prince courtyard.
now talking about the real deal the ice creams here are just unique hardly would find elsewhere. that's why explicitly mentioned hand crafted.

the flavours i tried were banoffie pie - there best seller..salted caramel 😋 honey & ginger - had first time ever tasted great..mint freshener - cool..mangolicious..strawberylicious😘..chilly guava - very unique a must try atleast once & my fav too...belgianchocolate- they make it somewhat better.🤗.& many more.
the pricing is 150 (increased from 120/-) for a scoop or two small scoops for two diff. flavours (that's the best part)..
they also have sorbets, crumbles, popsicles etc.
wow. a definite visit. hoping to get a taste of something new everytime on my next visits.

we ordered a banofee,chocolateand chilli guava ice cream. delivery was on time and taste was excellent. but quantity wise, not value for money.

the place was very serene and beautiful .first we didn’t know what to order so the owner gave us sample of different flavours.finally we got darkchocolateindulgence,salted caramel,chai ice cream,chilly guava.it was so gud.will visit again

ordered from swiggy and now from zomato both had a horrible experecncde its best to dine in here for the best ice creams in chennai but never for home ordered ice cream looks like milkshake egmore is so close to my house

the place was so good,neat and beautiful.
the banofee pie icecream, in its first few bites you can feel the banana and then you feel the milkmaidish flavour.
the belgian crumble bar tasted just like the usual belgian ice cream and you can feel the crunch of its base when you eat through it.

note: it's just some 5 mins walk from nehru park metro station.

we had ordered home dark chocolate, ginger honey with pomegranate molasses, chai spice and bannofee pie. all the flavours were very nice. bannofee pie was a little too sweet to my taste but the rest were very good. the callebaut belgianchocolatewas outstanding! the packaging was very good too.

loved this place... got lot of cool stuff.. from there menu to the decors.. from furnitures to the the false-ceil.. it's small room actually, holding a lot though 🤗
coming up to the menu- you will get wonders of variety here.. this place is for all kinda pplchocolatelovers, spice lovers, chai lovers, coffee lover 😍
in short this place will not disappoint you 👍💝
