sharky's fish & chips mandurah

dining experience at sharky's. i am a regular customer at sharky's and highly recommend it to the locals and tourists visiting mandurah. the staff are gorgeous and make you feel either part of the furniture or family, thefoodbrilliant. i challenge people to visit sharky's for the ulitimate experience in dinner, coffee and cake at a resonable price. you won't be disappointment.

this was fine but on the more expensive side forfoodthat was just fine. to be fair the more expensive dishes could generally be split between two. however, as we were just after fish and chips, i would have recommended simply going to a more casual fish and chips place for the same quality of food. perhaps the ambiance would be a bit less, but ambiance isn't really the standout of this place, apart from overlooking the water (but certainly not where you'd take a fancy date etc.)

i was particularly disappointed by the vego options, got a greek salad which was fine but not amazing and the onion rings which were admittedly tasty. there were also pizzas which were vegetarian, but i was in a fish and chips (sans fish) kind of mood and for the price, could get pizzas in a more authentic restaurant (i did not try them though, perhaps it would've been the best/most authentic pizza i had... but didn't seem like it would be). for comparison, foreshore fish and chips/other more casual places have potato fritters, corn things, spring rolls etc.

lovely food, beautiful ambience and view from your seat. the most absolutely beautiful staff which really makes the experience perfect. the menu might look pricey, but when thefoodcomes out, you are amazed by the huge serves!

slightly dissapointed. thefoodquality was subpar for the price. we ordered the special seafood for 2 for $50. the fish and chips and the calamari were disappointing. they were soggy and weren't crispy. the rest of thefoodwas just okay. the portion was pretty generous for $50, but thefoodquality wasn't there.

the service was worse than terrible! staff and management are arrogant and rude!

thefoodis your average run of the mill fish and chip, only it costs twice as much as any other fish and chip shop. would never go back. the view is all this place has going for it. but i'd eat at one of the other adjacent places instead. same view, much betterfoodand service.

been to sharky's about three times now. dad wanted to go mandurah so we took him and sist to sharky's because we know they do good food. ordered usual stuffs: battered fish & chips, lemon pepper calamari and chilli mussels nom nom nom. it's the second time i felt thirsty after eating at sharky's. i wonder if they use some sort of msg to make theirfoodyummy? they also have many types of cheesecakes on display and they looked good! i wanted to try but already too full, maybe next time. see you next time.

will never go to this place again. the staff were very rude and thefoodwas expensive and average in quality. the man behind the bar acted as if he was doing me a favour by serving me - he kept me waiting at the bar while myfoodwent cold (and there were only a handful of people there - hardly a full house!). when he did finally serve me he was obnoxious and tried to tell me firstly that my card didn't have paypal when it did, and then when i asked him about the sparkling wine they had he asked me to read the menu.

when the sparkling wine arrived, the glass had lipstick on it and i had to take it back to the bar (waited for a while of course while mr bartender did nothing then decided to attend to me).

we spent well over 100 dollars for what is essentially fish and chips and when my pregnant wife asked for some tomato sauce, she was pointed in the direction towards the fridge (after spending over 100 you are still required to spend for a bit of sauce...something you get free with a burger at mcdonalds).

we sat outside and as it was sunny we raised the umbrellas. these were left up for a while but then the same bartender came and lowered them stating that the wind had picked up (it didn't - it actually reduced) - so rather than allow up to finish our meal we sat in the sun in our faces. he was also very rude when lowering the umbrellas.

rude rude rude is how i would describe this place. you get more smiles at mcdonalds.

if you are seeking average overpricedfoodwith rude staff then this place is for you.

goodfood& service always good. it's always busy whenever we come down. fish & chips is pretty good but there are alot of choices which is great for the whole family. beautiful views what more could you ask for!

cheap coffee and cake deals daily. slices are huge and coffee is pleasant. the bruschetta and in fact all meals are huge in portion size and can be shared. decor is less than average but the view is stunning, service is friendly andfoodis fantastic!

sharky's is situated in the dolphin quay complex overlooking the mandurah marina. it's a beautiful spot, light and flies stream in from the side and there are water views from most of the impressively large room. you order at the counter and the staff seem to have an uncanny knack of finding you. i visited at peak time, sunday at noon and the room was heaving with people, i was warned that thefoodwould take thirty minutes. it's not particularly cheap ($40 for my seafood platter, with snapper), the chip (not included with the platter) were slightly limp and unseasoned and the squid rubbery. the battered fish is very well done and pleasingly they have no hesitation in proclaiming they use shark (the chip shop norm being don't ask don't tell), they even offer a platter of shark ($42 for two people). the deep woods chardonnay retails for about $a20 (on the sharky's list it's a very reasonable $30) making it very compelling value - it's wild fermented and has spent time on lees in two and three year old french oak barrels. it has complexity and interest without being overblown and overinflated. grilled peach and citrus pith, flint and match. bright with just enough creaminess and buttermilk to soften the structure without compromising the elliptical shape and pace.    http://feeds.feedburner.com/winosapien click here for the original context

greatfoodand great service. my wife, my wife’s parents and four friends of ours dined at sharky’s yesterday evening.
we eat out at sharky’s most sundays and thefoodand service is always excellent.
however last evening there was a drama with one of the meals. the staff acted promptly and professionally to rectify the problem. there was no fuss or drama from the staff and i was fully satisfied with the resolution. i will be back on sunday.
as per usual great food, great service and good value for money.
this place does a lot more than fish and chips and its all really good.
well done to the ladies that served us last evening, great work.

sylvia. wow - what a fantastic restaurant! 8 of us were there on saturday night 22/3/14 and we were all extremely impressed. clean well presented restaurant, greatfoodat great prices and big selection to suit everyone not just fish and chips! the service was faultless and the serve sizing was huge! we will definately be dining there more often. i have already recommended to my work colleagues and they are planning there visit. i rate it 10/10!!!!

went thursday nightfoodwas good big portions little pricey $$ 100 for one adult and 3 kids! after we finished had to line up in same line asfoodorders to get a coffee! (customers were told an hour wait for orders of food- they walked out) id rather have my plates cleaned up as there was 12 of us at table and no one cleaned our table until 2 hours later only because they were bringing signs in) tried but will stick to cicerellos mand for staff personalities and quicker coffee service and faster moving staff who don't wont u to sit with dirty table..

goodfoodat a slightly expensive price, i had the steak sandwich my partner had the fish and chips and 2 children's fish and chips. the children's meals with free ice cream was good value but the adults meals were $19 each and i had to pay extra for red sauce which i thought was a bit cheeky.
all in all goodfoodand lots of it.

very average..... a shame the location doesn't reflect the quality of thefood! we ordered grilled fish and chips and salt and pepper squid ! although the servings were good sized, both were very average and tasteless ! come on guys... a great location shouldn't be wasted by serving expensive below-average qualityfood!
