the decors are quite romantic but the food is what i actually came for. again, i always choose seats with bad lighting but i hope the food could suffice. we ordered crispy calamari, mixed grill and the fisherman’s catch. everything is quite nice except for the calamari. squid was tough, i bet they use frozen ones. hope they improve on this. overall average food, goodserviceand instagramable ambience.

my sister had been talking about this place for a long time. so we thought of visiting with the family on our trip to al ain.
the interiors remind you as if your are in a shakespeare book. nicely decorated with the shakespeare touch i must say.
coming to the food. we ordered the mixed grill, classic chicken & the carbonara pasta. the mixed grill was okay. liked the baby potatoes in it the most. the steak could have been a little more well done though. the classic chicken is a must have. even though i'm not a mushroom lover, i liked it. the pasta was okay too.
theservicewas excellent. the staff was very friendly and tried their best to make us feel comfortable.
overall the place is a bit expensive but we had a good time. will definitely visit again.

good place for a decent breakfast. yah, as mentioned in other reviews,servicewas a bit slow. maybe because it was early morning. been here only once. but the food was good. and portions were also large.

i love shakespeare & co and been to dubai mall, souk al bahar, al ain mall and jimi mall branches.  some branches may serve better food than others though.  friendly staff and efficientserviceis consistent and i always love their bread and butter (the green one).  can be a bit pricey but portions are good for sharing.

the most recent time i’ve been here was for breakfast.

i ordered the american breakfast which was as promised with hot chocolate and orange juice. nice crunchy potato hash brown

also ordered the shakshouka with bacon and mushroom which was under done although i asked for them over easy.

the steak sandwich was ok but the meat was super tough and over done.

the butter served to us was pre used but was replaced immediately after we showed them.
the toast took 20 mins to get to our table.

i’d still go because it’s a nice comfy place to visit and the staff is always nice... great staff trumps averageserviceand average food for me ... 😊😊🤣🤣

perfect location if you are looking for a casual setting and inexpensive, good quality meal. the restaurant is located on the ground floor of al hamra mall and had a steady flow of customers at lunch and dinner time. the interior is very pretty with pale pink and light coloured walls and an abundance of picture frames hung on the walls. i have been on several occasions and always found the food andserviceto be good. there is also free wi-fi available. we ordered a lasagne and the fisherman's catch, exchanging the rice for fries. both meals were of a good size and good value.

depends on the day and branch. i used to live in abu dhabi and the branches down in ad were amazing, food was well cooked, very nice flavours, theservicewas perfect.

but, here in al hamra is a totally different story. the food was cold and i had to send it back, it wasnt even cooked properly the second time and by then, all my friends had finished their food. it didnt actually even taste that nice so i was shocked at how bad my experience was and im not planning to ever go back.

expensive and overrated. customerserviceis average and food tasteless. disappointed after coming here a few times. it's become boring now

the bestservicein al ain...having a very good staff..i had iftar for 25 person today and i didnt expect this high quality ofservicespecially from the manager mr.ahmed who was really trying to make things as masterpiece as possible..i really appreciate theserviceand im advising you all to try..

what happened there simply high standard of customerservicescope .
i visit them with my family me my wife and 2 child my we set inside family room but my boys starting moving and want to go outside while it really hot . i explain to ahmed the manager there what happened ,
he made the arrangement with his staff to make a good place out . he sent the ac out he personally take our food order , he made that moment nice dinner ,
about the food it is as usual as requested no any mistake founded also he suggest us a plate for my kids too .
i don't know what is the standards or the pinch mark to evaluate theservice,
staff also was really expert they know each things what customer needs ,
i guess such staff they have a good manager as they trade between them self very friendly helpful good work environment .

we are usually massive fans of shakespeare's and used to consider it one of the best places to eat in the garden city of al ain. yet on our most recent visit with friends - we can only really describe the experience as distinctly average!

as usual theservicewas good, the staff are always polite and friendly and really go out of their way to guide you through the menu and answer any questions that you may have.

the venue itself is fantastic, and can only be described as shabby-chic and akin to the stereotype you would have of an elderly ladies house - full of lampshades, lace and other bric-a-brack! the interior design really should be commendable and really helps to add to the vibe of the establishment. the seating options are varied offering both indoor and outdoor seating, and also the option of a private family room.

the beverages and cakes are always good - no matter what your preference & the selection is extensive.

unfortunately on this occasion our main courses were a disappointment to the group we were dining with - crispy calamari was chewy and flavourless, whilst my steak sandwich was cold, the meat tasted overly processed, and the bread was barely toasted.

it's such a shame as we used to be regular customers here, but in all honesty i don't think we will be returning to this specific branch anytime soon.

theserviceis half the enjoyment of any restaurant; that's what this place is missing. once you order, you won't see the server until it's time for your food to arrive. once you start your meal you won't see them until it's time for the check. if you have a problem, you better swallow up it with your food.

the lunch was tasty and theservicethis time exquisite! we had the freekeh salad with a side of smoked salmon, and we also tried the steak with lemon sauce.
the potato base was a bit tasteless but it was fine

my previous experience
craving some cakes and coffee we passed to al hamra mall branch.
first of all the waiters are very slow and non reactive. we sat outside and it took a while for us to get the menus. we went to the cake display which was practically empty lacking options.back to our table we called the waiter to order however it took her forever to understand a simple order of sorbet i had to show her on the menu what i am requesting.off to the second request of a cake, american coffee and cappuccino. and here we started receiving our order seperately first the cake then the sorbet then american coffee then cappuccino. even the sugar came later. it was deceiving and unpleasant because of thisserviceplus why the small piece of avergae cake cost that much??
