if you are looking for an authentic japanese food, seryna at little tokyo infront of makati cinema square is the place to visit. their bento boxes during lunch time is a must try and has reasonable price. they servegoodquality of sashimi bento box and maki.

this japanese resto is truly an awesome one.

i love their lunch menu! 😍 for only php380, you'll be absolutely stuffed! it is also always an amazing meal too.

i love the kaisen gozen. it has something like 10 different kinds of sashimi: salmon, tuna, shrimp, sea urchin, fish roe, squid, and a few others i'm not sure what they were. hahaha! their sashimi is also very fresh. 😊

service is prettygoodeven if they're absolutely full. they get really packed... so go early or prepare to wait. the wait is always worth it anyway. 😊

we had ika geso karaage, san ten mori, gyu don and oyakodon.

the shrimp was fresh. hindi sya lasang calamares lang, so no worries. parang may tinge of saltiness dun sa squid and may certain crunch sya. the rice bowl (gyudon and oyakodon) isgoodenough for sharing if you're not that hungry since rice meal naman sya. feeling mo lang pricey yung place but the servings ng rice bo are quite sulit. may complementary miso soup na rin yata. they also offer cold barley tea or hot idk tea, but if you're not in to tea wag ka na humingi. haha. they also have complementary black seaweed.
san ten mori has salmon, squid with roe, and tuna. of course salmon is, as always, heavenly. you can never go wrong with salmon. :)

eto lang yung mej ayoko. the staff aren't as accommodating as i expected, considering na they have service charge. saka based on my experience kasi if the restaurant is pricey, usually the staff are really nice. i overheard one staff pa na parang foreigners (taiwanese) give higher tips. i leave tips when the staff deserve it pero kung may service charge na nga, sana pantay pantay na yung treatment kasi whether we like it or not, nag tip na kami e. yun lang, i hope they would be more attentive even to their kababayans.

i would rate this place 4.75. one of the few i think that serves raw horse meat. nice place andgoodcustomer service. one of the jap restos i would recommend.

we had the yakiniku roll, spicy salmon roll, kaki (oyster) fry, ika geso (squid tentacles) karaage, and kushiyaki moriawase (10 pcs of assorted yakitori sticks).

the yakiniku roll surprised me, beef and mayo mix complimented well. beef was cooked perfectly, serving was kinda generous relative to other places. the spicy salmon roll for me was underwhelming. i expected more filling of salmon, it was lacking in its “sauce” and crunchy tempura flakes. it was okay, but i expected something much better.

the ika geso karaage was unique. it’s like you’re eating twister fries.goodto try! kushiyaki moriawase is something i’d recommend. it has a variety of yakitori that you can share per stick since it has 2-4 pieces of meat per stick. most were cooked perfectly, although leaning on the overcooked side, where some became dry, like the chicken liver, and the pork strips. i didn’t like the meat ball like food, tasted like bola-bola.

the star in that sampler was the bacon wrapped egg and the chicken liver. they were addicting. the gizzard was kinda chewy, well, as expected. flavor wasn’t that strong, so you won’t really need more rice to eat them with.

seryna is our go-to sushi restaurant in makati and we always sit by the bar to watch the chefs prepare our meal. it is better to go early as this place tends to be packed with people. if you are into nigiri, order the sushi gozen for variety and perhaps reorder an ala carte plate of whichever sushi you liked best from the platter. if you want to eat sushi but you get intimidated by nigiri, you can begin with a sushi roll instead. the salmon negi toro maki (scallion and salmon roll) is agoodchoice.

always agoodplace to go to for cheap japanese good. best time to go is always lunch time where you’re treated to some specials.

there’s always a line here. come early or wait.

we ordered agedashi tofu, tempura soba, bbq asparagus, and yasai itame. everything wasgoodexcept for the yasai itame, salty, peppery, and pale looking.
i complained to our server, no feedback from their manager. talk about lousy customer service. looks like i'm sticking to izakaya kikufuji next time.

agoodrestaurant especially for lunch. their sushi and sashimu aregoodand substantial. sitting is mafe in sort of compartments. the place is rather dark. no particular effort was made to create an atmosphere but food isgoodand reasonably priced. that is the most important thing after all.

upon entering seryna, i got an instant, classic, japanese ambiance. the place was dimly lit; the servers wearing kimono dresses; and there were both regular and chabudai or short legged tables, where you can comfortably hang your feet below a hollow space.

the food was simply amazing. my friend and i ordered different sashimi, and they were all fresh and delicious. besides these, we also ordered sushi, soft tofu, buttered oysters, and the house sake.

the only thing i've got a complaint for is the temperature. although they had a fan beside our table, it was still a little bit hot, and upon asking our kind server, i was told that the air conditioning is usually weak. it's agoodthing that it improved as the night progressed (perhaps the cold sake helped).

we were attended by different servers who seemed to know the menu, as they offered suggestions especially when some of my first options were out of stock already.

overall, i'd love to go back to seryna. it's agoodplace for either an intimate date or a fun meal with family or friends.

we came at around 8:30 pm and the restau was breaming with people in the know. its very feeling tokyo in a way except that you can order sushi, tempura, yakitiri in one roof. but tgey do it all well. we ordered the special sashimi platter with toro and all and it was oh sogoodand fresh. the sake was served very cold. the thing that was a bit of a letdown was that several of the dishes we ordered were already finished for the day. oh well it only goes to show everything is fresh daily and we just have to come earlier.

came here for sunday brunch and they have a huge selection of food to choose from.

cube steak wasgoodand also their sashimi. a little pricey but quality is prettygoodtoo. would come back for sure.
