food is really good. went for the breakfast buffet, was about $10 per person had a omelet station and eggs made to order. had fresh fruit, orange juice, and hot food selections

the hush puppies are amazing. the clam chowder soup was homemade and spectacular. had the fresh flounder which was also great. staff was super friendly and suggestive. great place to eat!

love this quaint restaurant! such a home feel! staff is so polite and attentive! everything on the menu is delicious and comes out exactly how you ordered it! recommend highly!

friendly staff and nice location - mediocre food. great view of the ocean from the lower level seating . food very mediocre and overpriced. i had the crab cakes and spinach salad. the crab cakes were tiny and mostly filler- mushy and greasy - served with a butter sauce which was flavorless and a detraction instead of enhancement. the spinach salad needed about half the dressing and drizzled over it instead of drowned.. they should consider a mandolin slicer for the onion and thin toasted almond slices instead of the thick nut slivers ... my husband had the special and the fish was very over cooked and had been sitting.. not freshly prepared. my son would not even eat the kids grilled cheese as it was burnt on one side and very greasy. the wine was cheap (house cab) - dessert was ok though - don't go out of your way to get here

steer clear if you want a flavorful meal. went here for brunch. the view was awesome and the staff friendly. food was very bland. needs an update big time. very closterphbic inside as well.

stay clear of places that are afraid to show there prices!. never go to a resturant that will not release there menu prices to anyone.

lovely place. my family and i ate dinner here tonight and i was very impressed. the atmosphere was so charming and the food was some of the best i've had in the area. i would definitely come again the next time we're down.

the sea captains house has the best breakfast buffet i have had anywhere. the guy who cooks the omelets when you order them does a wonderful job.

time to move onto another seafood place!. i just posted on yelp, but need to post here too. we have been going here for 10 years and last night will be the last! soup was cold, did nothing, salad was sad and wilted. prices have gone up so much that you are better off going to a high end seafood restaurant like tommy bahamas. same price, but much better food! sad to say this will be our last time. don't waste time or money.

had breakfast there on oct. 4, 2014. friendly greeting. good server. had the crab cakes benedict and home fries of the menu. really good! if you like a buffett, they have one for you. this is a regular stop for us in myrtle beach and we will definitely be back!!

have been vacationing for years in mb and we had never tried this place. i don't know why!! it was delicious! even my 4 yr old enjoyed it. he ended up eating almost all of my flounder along with his meal. the she crab soup was phenomenal. my mother and father raved about the shrimp and grits appetizer. my husband thoroughly enjoyed his swordfish special. and my seafood combination was delicious as well. server was the nicest southern gentleman and was attentive without being intrusive. super accommodating. adding this one to our annual list.

paying for the view. went there for dinner on vacation. there are very few restaurants in or around myrtle beach with a direct ocean view, so this was nice. the view was good, the service was good, the food was just ok. if you're going for dinner, i recommend you get there when they open, otherwise be prepared for a long wait.

just no.. for an $80 bill i felt that the mahi mahi was burnt, the fries were seasoned with old bay, and the vegetables were soaked in hot water for less than a minute. we were seated after a large party of 8 who never even had a waiter see to them. they eventually left and we had the chance to warn them of the food. dont eat here.
