best she-crab soup i've ever had. most of the other food wasgoodbut not amazing. worth it for the soup though!

nice evening out. been here twice. was a nice quiet atmosphere. we had a nice spot overlooking the ocean. i think it was a slow night.
it is considered fine dining. if dress codes need to be explained to you then maybe check out a fast food joint.
the service was excellent. the meal wasgoodtoo.

we loved it - this place! everything about it. especially the food. everything we had at the table was super fresh, tender, melt-in-your-mouth, sweet, everything that seafood should be! service was excellent and prices reasonable. the hot fudge cake was agoodway to end our experience.

had breakfast there on oct. 4, 2014. friendly greeting.goodserver. had the crab cakes benedict and home fries of the menu. really good! if you like a buffett, they have one for you. this is a regular stop for us in myrtle beach and we will definitely be back!!

overpriced. the food and atmosphere was lovely. we ordered the grouper which wasgoodand the lobster which was $40 for just the tail! hush puppies were a nice touch but we would not go back because the food was mediocre and overpriced.

2 out of 5 stars will not return.. the service was slow, cold food, steak was not very good, kid burger tasted like rubber, broiled shrimp had no flavor, scallops ordinary at best and again cold, shecrab soup wasgoodbut not enough crab in it for $4.95 a cup.

greatgoodand great service. a little on the pricey side but you know that going in so it shouldn't come as a shock. the location makes it all that much better.

good seafood. hush puppies are a must! i wore a t-shirt and shorts...great service! i had the grouper special and my family had other seafood items...all were very good. the atmosphere and views out the back to the ocean were cool too! desert lookedgoodbut ran out of room...enjoy!

the fries and the shrimp aregoodto. this place is a tad underwhelming though. oysters are barely average . if you get fish, don't get it fried/ you have been warned. not the most friendly staff either. its a decent place, but not much more than that.

my wife and i tried the sea captains house last year based on the recommendation of a trusted friend. we still trust him. when we travel to the beach we make every attempt to locate the best fried oysters available. the sea captains house was the best last year and the best again this year. service wasgoodfood was excellent. we ate on monday and came back again today on thursday. we did not realize they closed at 2:30 and reopened at 4:00 and we arrived at 2:48. we decided to sit in the swing behind the sea captains house and enjoy the ocean view until they 4:00. looking forward to the oysters.

terrible. we had a wait on wednesday night, which made me feel positive.
we had a drink at the bar and kim the bar tender was very nice. when we sat at our table the waitress got us more drinks and asked if we had been there before and asked if hush puppies and no bread was ok.
she did honestly tell us not to get the one shrimp app that is listed a local's favorite. that was nice of her- instead we got the fried green tomatoes with shrimp salad. the tomatoes were ok but the shrimp salad was way too salty and gross. the clam soup wasgoodand the she crab soup was ok very creamy andgoodflavor but hardly any pieces of crab. the crab cakes were more than disappointing. they looked and tasted worse than frozen ones from the supermarket. my husband ordered the salmon special- he didn't like the sauce (to his own expecting something else) but the salmon was smothered and he didn't eat his dinner either. the waitress never asked if the meals were ok or what was wrong that i asked for a box and only packed the potato and veggies - left a crab cake and the whole piece of salmon.
the hush puppies by far were the best part of dinner. and our check was $72.
big flop for the money. won't be going back and i don't recommend anyone to visit.

great views, great friendly service,goodfood and ample lunch portions; excellent selection of local brewed draft beers. this is a "will certainly go back" restaurant.

we ate dinner here tonight. the food was verygood(pasta, shrimp, sundries tomatoes, kalamati olives, lemon sauce; broiled oysters). everything was prepared very well, was tasty, and had an adequate presentation. our server was excellent: attentive but not overbearing. would definitely go again.
