good food, lousy location. atmosphere is great inside, lousy outside. between the clang of tire irons at the tire shop, and the section eight housing it's backed up to, the location could be better. take an inside table, and avoid the noise and shabby surroundings.
scott's menu is decently comprehensive, and everything i've tried has been just great. from the appy list, try the fiesta calimari, or better yet, the hot crab and artichoke dip. the french onion soup may just be the best i've had, except maybe for what i used to get at jonah and the whale in bellevue. i've tried their caesar's a couple of times, and will definitely have it again.
if you absolutely, positively just have to have a burger, they serve a pretty mean 'shroom burger, well worth the twelve bucks. you won't go away hungry. and, sometimes all you want is mac n' cheese -- and scott's is the best i've eaten!
my son-in-law swears the rock-salt roasted prime rib is to die for. what does he know? well, something, anyway -- he conned my lady into trying it, and she agrees. me? i'd rather have the short rib pot roast, or better yet, a rack of scott's baby backs -- they've got the hawaiian bbq sauce down pat. and the crab cakes are memorable.
they have a decent wine list, and the prices aren't too terrible, forrestaurantprices. i mean, where else will you find a wine list offering king estates pinot noir at 44 bucks?
dessert is an unknown quantity to all of us -- we just never have any room for it. but with food that good, who cares.
