my fave menu item?. spicy chicken fettuccini, hands down. service is not so bad but "sometimes" they could use an extra server. it's a goodplaceto go with a group. drinks are good.
they aren't (always) spectacular, but scott's is a solidplaceto eat and have a drink in a nice environment.

ill never go there again the rest of my life. noticbly understaffed. could tell all empoyees were struggling and failed to see any managment during my whole dining experiance. we recieved a email about a food promotion and when we came in for it the portions were unresonably small and the food was cold and just all around awfull. this use to be a greatplaceto go but after discussing similar experiances with friends .. they have lost a great deal of customers

more than meets the eye. my wife and i were tired and hungry after a long drive (15 hours) to seattle from edmonton, ab. we were craving some hearty grub such ribs and steak. the receptionist at our hotel recommend scott's bar and grill. from the outside it just looked like a bog-standard pub and grill, but then when step in, the atmosphere changes; it has a higher class feel than most pub grills. the decor was comfortable and fitting to the feel of the place, also theplacehad no music but the atmosphere was created by the chitter-chatter and laughter of the diners themselves. the staff were extremely friendly and polite, and because it was our first time there, we were greeted and served by the manager personally complimentary (but very large portion) crab & artichoke dip with freshly baked ciabatta bread, which was absolutely delicious by the way, so far so good. the menu was concise - but that doesn't mean there isn't much to choose from - and very reasonably priced. the service was quick and efficient, and the food was fabulous. i wish we were in the seattle area longer so that we were able to visit this restaurant again. highly recommended.

nice, unless you're faithful. imagine a restaurant that doesn't appreciate you for years of faithful patronage? a restaurant who doesn't treat you with respect and fairness after you give them this.

yes, i have been going for years, and so my review is different. it has to do with how it is to experience scotts long term, and here is what i have found from personal experience.

this restaurant discriminates against people for having personalities they dislike. it discriminates against people who consistently do anything slightly out of the ordinary that they do not understand. they discriminate against loyal patrons if they don't like what chairs that person chooses to sit in. if you complain about anything having to do with this restaurant, scotts takes whatever you say and passes it on so that everyone on the staff knows and also many of the regular patrons. this restaurant can imagine up a wrong that you have not done based on only limited and carefully selected bits of a much larger story, accuse you of it, punish you for it and give you rules that do not apply to anyone else, deny you the chance to try to explain yourself, and 86 you and refuse you service. it doesn't take getting loud or drunk or abusive or insulting or disruptive to get 86ed from scotts. all it takes is very simple. if you enjoy talking to people, and the only people you have to talk to is the staff, you can get 86ed from scotts. if you feel the need to be able to see out windows to feel comfortable at bars because you have issues dealing with anxiety, you can be 86ed at scotts. if you make the mistake of thinking one of the staff is your friend (because they tell you they are as a way to take advantage and set you up) you can be 86ed from scotts. and if all three of the above happen to apply to you, then really really you can be 86ed from scotts!

the food is ok, though the portions on the higher priced items are rather small, and the prices too high (esp. on drinks) in many cases for what you get. otherwise the ambiance is nice and most of the staff too. but don't get too loyal to theplacebecause it will not be grateful and it will not return loyalty to you. and if a pack of high spending regulars at the bar decide they don't like you--you're all done.

disappointed too many times!. there aren't many decent restaurants in the shoreline area. that's why we've been to scott's several times. the first time it was great. we ordered the rock salt prime rib and the burnt creme custard for dessert. we've also had a good brunch there a few times when we ordered the vanilla custard french toast. but, everything else has been a major disappointment. i tried ordering the rock salt prime rib again and mine was sliced paper thin, while my boyfriend had a thick cut. i ordered an overpriced steak salad another time, and there was nothing to it! the last time we went there for dinner, i ordered the chicken breast dijon. it was actually 3 ultra thin pounded cutlets fried until they were as hard as a hockey puck served with a side of almost raw vegetables, and what tasted like instant potatoes. the waitress was very nice and accommodating and helped me order something else. i played it safe and ordered the french dip. it was disgusting!!! the meat and the caramelized onions were cold but the cheese had been heated to the point where it was fused to the bun like rubber. then then bun was soaked in au jus to the point where you couldn't pick up the sandwich because it was so soggy. ugh. i can only recommend thisplacefor the burnt creme custard or the vanilla custard french toast because they haven't screwed that up yet. the food is definitely a bit overpriced, too.

the chameleon of seattle. you may look at the name of thisplaceand say, "oh, a bar and grill. greasy food." you may see the location and think, "looks like a clinic. do not want." and you would be wrong. dead wrong. the fact is that the insides are done in appealing country colors, with fun, festive paintings of flowers reminiscent of a pleasant country kitchen. the food is always, always good. our favorite dish is the corn beef and cabbage, which is only available once a year during the st. patty's day craziness. seriously, though, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. catch it around brunch to sample some of the best breakfast and lunch dishes.
