it has been awhile since we have visited scott's. the last time we were in town went there for dinner & we were very disappointed from the host , to the waitress and the food. it was all bad. the host had no idea what she was doing and the waitress seemed like she had partied to hard the night before or maybe she was still drunk. then the food was cold & bland. we figured everyone has an off day so let's give it another try! i am so glad we did. the host was a very cheerful young man, very welcoming. our waitress katrece was so helpful. my parents are older & get confused easy. she was very patient & kind. my mother was worried about getting her dress dirty when she was boxing up her pasta, so katrece boxed it for her. i know she was very busy but my dad wanted to tell her a story & she let him tell his story. that made his day. the food was much better. still needed a little seasoning. we were thanked several times "for coming in." but the thanks goes to the wonderful staff that worked on easter! thank you to everyone that made this visit much better than the last! we will be back.

i have been to scott's several times. when we enter it smells musty. and the food isn't that great and over priced.. scott's is over rated. maybe because there are not too many places to eat in that area.

great happy hour. if you are north of seattle- you don't have to go downtown to get a tasty happy hour with yummy nibbles at good prices. it's right here at scott's!

horrible. ordered the $32 halibut cheeks special in july. i think they must have been flown in frozen from somewhere, because they were rubbery with no particular flavor. the mashed potatoes were gluey and the squash undercooked and tasteless. frankly, some of the worst food i've had in a long time. no excuse considering the price.

my fave menu item?. spicy chicken fettuccini, hands down. service is not so bad but "sometimes" they could use an extra server. it's a good place to go with a group. drinks are good.
they aren't (always) spectacular, but scott's is a solid place to eat and have a drink in a nice environment.

after a recommendation from a co-worker we tried scott's. the onion soup: very good, my meatloaf: dry, with a rather disgusting mushroom gravy, the mashed potatoes: best thing on the plate. i must admit my husband's hamburger looked good. we likely won't go back, too many other dining choices in the seattle area...

ill never go there again the rest of my life. noticbly understaffed. could tell all empoyees were struggling and failed to see any managment during my whole dining experiance. we recieved a email about a food promotion and when we came in for it the portions were unresonably small and the food was cold and just all around awfull. this use to be a great place to go but after discussing similar experiances with friends .. they have lost a great deal of customers

more than meets the eye. my wife and i were tired and hungry after a long drive (15 hours) to seattle from edmonton, ab. we were craving some hearty grub such ribs and steak. the receptionist at our hotel recommend scott's bar and grill. from the outside it just looked like a bog-standard pub and grill, but then when step in, the atmosphere changes; it has a higher class feel than most pub grills. the decor was comfortable and fitting to the feel of the place, also the place had no music but the atmosphere was created by the chitter-chatter and laughter of the diners themselves. the staff were extremely friendly and polite, and because it was our first time there, we were greeted and served by the manager personally complimentary (but very large portion) crab & artichoke dip with freshly baked ciabatta bread, which was absolutely delicious by the way, so far so good. the menu was concise - but that doesn't mean there isn't much to choose from - and very reasonably priced. the service was quick and efficient, and the food was fabulous. i wish we were in the seattle area longer so that we were able to visit this restaurant again. highly recommended.

hot spot. my mother loves this place, and, if you can get in, if you have time to wait, the food is good. i don't know that it is anything so special that people will wait up to an hour or so for, but we are loyal to scott's because of the years we have been going there and the reliability of a good meal there.

when my parents needed to order out, scott's would package it all up for them and bring it out to the car. incredible sensitivity to the customer, and very kind service.

where's the bread?!!. i called for takeout -- 2 entree salads with bread for two please. $36.14. get the order home and one small piece of bread. i guess they can get away with it because they have no competition. overpriced and apparently what the customer wants is unimportant. next time i want a take out caesar i will save lots of money and buy a bagged salad and baguette from top foods.

disappointing!. four of us went there for brunch. two of us had their french toast which is delicious!! another had the hash with an egg on it-it looked as disgusting as it tasted. the other had a poached egg which was bad. of course, the two who had the bad meals were from out of town and will unfortunately remember this meal forever.

outstanding. one of my all time top 5 places to eat. everything from the maytag salad, i usually get it w/ caesar, to there salmon and even the bread served pre-meal is amazing. the service is usually impeccable. a highly recommended place to eat.

free is good!. not the best to take a cheap date, but i like. if you're at the bar & get along with the head guy you might get free booze afte hours, or hell, even free food if they make a mistake in the kitchen!

nice, unless you're faithful. imagine a restaurant that doesn't appreciate you for years of faithful patronage? a restaurant who doesn't treat you with respect and fairness after you give them this.

yes, i have been going for years, and so my review is different. it has to do with how it is to experience scotts long term, and here is what i have found from personal experience.

this restaurant discriminates against people for having personalities they dislike. it discriminates against people who consistently do anything slightly out of the ordinary that they do not understand. they discriminate against loyal patrons if they don't like what chairs that person chooses to sit in. if you complain about anything having to do with this restaurant, scotts takes whatever you say and passes it on so that everyone on the staff knows and also many of the regular patrons. this restaurant can imagine up a wrong that you have not done based on only limited and carefully selected bits of a much larger story, accuse you of it, punish you for it and give you rules that do not apply to anyone else, deny you the chance to try to explain yourself, and 86 you and refuse you service. it doesn't take getting loud or drunk or abusive or insulting or disruptive to get 86ed from scotts. all it takes is very simple. if you enjoy talking to people, and the only people you have to talk to is the staff, you can get 86ed from scotts. if you feel the need to be able to see out windows to feel comfortable at bars because you have issues dealing with anxiety, you can be 86ed at scotts. if you make the mistake of thinking one of the staff is your friend (because they tell you they are as a way to take advantage and set you up) you can be 86ed from scotts. and if all three of the above happen to apply to you, then really really you can be 86ed from scotts!

the food is ok, though the portions on the higher priced items are rather small, and the prices too high (esp. on drinks) in many cases for what you get. otherwise the ambiance is nice and most of the staff too. but don't get too loyal to the place because it will not be grateful and it will not return loyalty to you. and if a pack of high spending regulars at the bar decide they don't like you--you're all done.
