finally a decent place on ft. morgan. after fishing for 12 hours, we could not see ourselves cooking and cleaning. sassy bass took our filets and made magic. no fuss no mess we had fresh and i mean hours old seafood deliciously prepared with sides.

tried to place a to go order, the place was less than half full and i was told they were not taking to go orders! guess they need tge waitstaff to pull in tips to keep this place afloat.

rude and worthless. do not waste your time. go to tacky jack's 2 instead. better food for less money.

so sad because we wanted to like this place. oysters on the half shell were dirty and not even properly schucked. they do not know the meaning of a scalloped potato, they are more like gravy potatoes with a cheeseish flavor. corn off the cob is burnt tasting. sassy grilled fish was obviously frozen with a store bought chili sauce. the waitress was courteous and professional, the only positive i can give the place. if you want to try it, stick to burgers and fried foods. they are not skilled enough to do much else.

we had a very large party and they were very accommodating..very friendly staff and fast service. the food was excellent! everyone in our large group was very pleased with the whole experience and they are reasonably priced.

the fishin grits were excellent. my husband was not a fan of the carne asada. price was
a little high for the. portion sizes but i would definitely go back.

finally a good place in fort morgan. we have been to the sassy bass several times this year and each time it has been good. looks bright and colorful, good service, not terribly expensive and the food actually has always been good. we've tried crab claws, fish dip (yum!), burgers, grilled tuna skewers, crab cakes, shrimp, crabby chicken, and other items. we've also "cook your catch" and had them cook fish we'd caught. we'll go back next month when we go back down. breakfast also good and reasonable.

absolutely amazing food. the smoked gouda balls were highly addictive. fried shrimp were cooked to perfection. the fried corn off the cob was very good as were the green beans and carrots. service was spot on and our waiter attended lsu, geaux tigers! not sure where the negative reviews came from but we were highly impressed with the food and flavor. this place is not to be missed! large portions at a fair price!

this place rules!!! the food is outstanding. real gourmet style dishes, not just fried junk. the decor is nothing fancy, but the place is clean and the servers and owners were very friendly. breakfast lunch and dinner. we had a fantastic mahi dish and filet mignon kabobs. came back for a great breakfast the next morning. check the photo! we drove to gulf shores to eat at a few places that ended up being gross and with crusty service. we were excited to find this place right around the corner!

we love sassy bass! the gouda bites on the appetizer menu are to die for!! all the flavors are unique and just explode in your mouth. they have such a creative menu!

we had a wonderful experience at sassy bass...the food was way above par and the service was really exceptional (thanks mark, randy and kathy)! don't miss this place if you're anywhere on the sane side of gulf shores or if you're looking to get away from the insanity of the vacation dining scene. i highly suggest the mahi and grits!

loved it. this place was great. we ate at several restuarants around gulf shores and then we found this place right next to our beach rental. the crab soup was the best in town! the staff were very friendly. we were surprised with live music which we usually dont like but it was very good. we really enjoyed it and will go back before we leave town!

i have no idea why this placê hás any bad reviews. i am a regular, i have been át least 10 times since i discovered it and i am hooked food has always been good have not ordered anything i did not like. manager seems like a good guy and has never been rude to me service is always friendly! give this place a chance! you can eat there on a budget if you are on one, but they still have some higher priced items as well. they have mixed drinks for 1.93 a glass, any other place around here you will be paying 2.50 at least you can't beat this place!

went upon recommendation by a local, they had great food, great service, and great prices.

i had the fish and chips, they were well breaded and very tender. fries were homemade and well fried.

my husband had the crab cake burger, which was well seasoned and fresh.

the real star was the 'crabby fries', which was the homemade fries with fresh crab bisque over top. the bisque was excellent, and was delicious with the fries.

service was excellent, prices were excellent. i highly recommend!
