unique and superior dining experience. i have dined at sargasso many times and feel sargasso is an exceptional dining choice in morgantown. the seasonal menu is well executed and the dining experience is the likes of any large city restaraunt. the chef's creations are appropraiately portioned and priced.servicehas been above average and accomodating each visit i have had. i have taken clients to sargasso and they have been equally impressed. keep up the good work!

one of the best meals i have ever eaten. the first time i went to sargasso was chance. the meal andservicewere absolutely wonderful--one of the best meals i have ever eaten. the second time i went to sargasso was by choice and i took my very well traveled sisters with me. all of our meals were delightful. my most traveled sister said that it compared very favorably to other restaurants in much larger towns. it is truly a dining experience!

one of the best places in morgantown! do not miss it!!. sargasso is one of my favorite restaurants in morgantown! i would always highly recommend it as the food is consistently delicious and worth the price! we also recently held our wedding rehearsal dinner at sargasso, with the assistance of jeremy (a manager). the event went perfectly! without us asking, our room for the event was upgraded. classy menus were printed up, and theservicewas meticulous throughout the planning of the event and the actual event. the food, as always, was incredible. many guests commented on how perfect the perfect salmon was. thank you to jeremy and sargasso for such a wonderful night and for being part of our big weekend. you have a great chef, manager, and great servers!

i would recommend the salmon, the filet mignon, the amazing cheesecake (with a great story!), and that's just for starters! i eat at sargasso every time i'm in morgantown.

outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. sargasso is definitely one of the best (and perhaps the most adventureous) restaurants in morgantown. the entrees are well thoughtout, ambitious, and favorful. try the fresh fish special or perhaps the soup of the day. the many salad choices are unusual, even unique at times. deserts are excellent. the atmosphere is elegant but comfortable.serviceis friendly and professional. the wine list is extensive and includes many well-priced choices. give it a try if you haven't already done so.

poor service, good food. we usually go to dinner here for special occasions. i always enjoy the food, but this time theservicesimply annoyed me. upon my simple special request, since i have a food allergy, the waiter said "well, the chef is really busy". then, the waiter couldn't explain some dishes because he had never had them. my dish was fine, but tasted more like i had ordered a no fat diet dish. no spark, no effort. very plain. he never even asked how i liked it and if it was ok. may rethink where we go next time. for those prices, i expect better service.

new years eve dinner. overpriced and disappointing. we have eaten at sargassos several times and enjoyed it ; however, i cannot say the same for our new year's eve meal. we were in no hurry so the length of time forservicewasn't an issue. the prelude and starters were good, the salad interesting. i had the seafood crepe entree which seemed to be filled with mini shrimp and not much else. it was in a heavy, brown sauce that was unappetizing. the beef wellington crust was soggy and the flavor of the beef unremarkable. our total bill was $240 for 2 of us and only one of us had the wine flight. i don't think we'll bother with this restaurant again...sorry.

four star food three star service. best fine dining restaurant in morgantown. been to them all multiple times, there isn't even a close second. food has always been four mobil star.serviceconsistently three. been there six times, had multiple courses each time, only ever had one dish that was short. portions are as they should be. wine list is three star maybe, but has some winners, clarendon hills grenache for 60 last i was there, which is nice. as mobil and aaa areserviceawards, this place is 3 and 3, food and ambiance is worthy of four if basicservicefundamentals were squared away.

impressive. nice atmoshpere,servicestaff not polished but nice. food and menu are top notch with wagu beef and karabuta pork on menu its a tell tale sign that this place is a notch above any other place in morgantown. the food was nicely prepared, interesting, and balanced. very nice job
