sandstone grillhouse

last minute decision to visit sandstone, read great reviews about this restaurant. my group and i wanted something different and to out amazement the reviews were 100% right! service was amazing, food- astonishing! beyond words! will definitely make sure every time i'm in the niagara area, will for sure make it a must to visit!

was here a few months back. very nice formal/casual dining. good service and great food presentation. salad was fancy and delicious. pasta and chicken very flavourful. would go again for special occasion.

overall, it seemed like it might have been a bad day for the kitchen. i see how there can be a problem cooking food for twenty people but because we were split up, there was no expectation of having twenty mains come out all at once. why there was such an inconsistency, i have no idea.

falls failure. one of the worst meals i've had in a while. don't let pictures fool u. i had penne with shrimp and sausage that looked like road kill. so much sauce it was closer to stew. and the sauce was closer to " canned" that tasty. the owner told me " that's not a lot of sauce". maybe vision is not a strong suit either. other meals were served on the cold side of the temperature scal. and the potatoes and vegetables coming with grilled meat were tasteless. the pizza was also iffy. if you know what pizza should be...
a sad diversion.

great restaurant. recently stayed in niagara falls, on and dined at this restaurant two evenings. the food and especially the chocolate pate dessert was absolutely fabulous.

fantastic service, and awesome food. my family and i came from england to visit. we checked on this sight and decided to try sandstone's. we were met promptly with a sincere smile, and were sat immediately. our server don, well let me tell you a nicer man you will not find. he was down to earth, had great suggestions, with food and the accompanying wine. he was bang on both accts. i really have to say sandstone's and especially don made this one of the best dining experiences we have had anywhere. food 5 stars service 5 stars plus,plus,plus.

i really recommend sandstone's to everyone coming to niagara falls, and i hope you are lucky enough to get don. you will not be disappointed!!!

ate here last night and was the best food we had in niagara! would highly recommend it, kid friendly, and a good sampling of niagara wines too!

immediately greeted and promptly seated. the service was friendly and sincere. ambience was warm, comfortable and modern. greek salad was amazing (and an original recipe!). we ordered their fish and chips along with the caliente burger and both were more than delicious! kudos to our server terry who has humorous, timely ad more than helpful. one of the best restaurants in niagara with well-priced and quality options!!!

best food and service ever. honestly, i never rate these places however. after reading reviews on here i decided to call and make a reservation for my wedding party. instantly dan and i connected, what a wonderful polite person to speak with, i requested the patio so my guests and i could enjoy the night. dan was so helpful and prompt in giving my choices for a group menu. my guests that had steak said it was the best they ever had, i had the chicken with mushrooms as well as the homemade cream of mushroom soup, i have never felt so in love with food. my other guests that chose the lasage and seafoood dish said it was so flavorful and the best cooked they ever had. the staff, man was i ever impressed. so kind so friendly, and very accommodating, my guest and i agree this should be the #1 spot in niagara! thanks sandstone for making my wedding night! _ ali from peterborough

amazing restaurant! went to check it out because of high ratings on urban spoon and it was right! i had the 12oz ny strip, mixed vegetables and rice. i asked for medium rare and got more medium but that did not matter one bit. the steak was absolutely amazing. the rice was incredible and the mixed vegetables were delicious. the steak melted in my mouth. only disappointment was there was no baked potato side option. girlfriend had chicken parm, sauce and chicken was excellent also only 17.99. the prices were very good and appropriate for food. my steak meal was 28$ and well worth it. had to get up and walk around and come back to finish! they also have us complimentary garlic bread which was delicious. restaurant is on the small side but plenty of outside seating. thanks urban spoon for letting me find this restaurant!

we were a group of college graduates seeking for a well priced steakhouse. i made reservation for 23 persons at 5pm for 8pm. gentleman over the phone was super accomodating and he booked a part of the restaurant for us. we arrived at the sandstone and we were well greated. the atmosphere was really nice as there was a lot of people from
all age groups. also, there was 2 gents playing music which was great, a nice change. barry, our server, was great from start to finish. considering we were a large group, service was fast and well done. the surf and turf special was delicious! good drinks as well! the lighting, the decor, the music were awesome add-ons to a nice restaurant experience. compliments to the kitchen, the owner and our excellent server barry! cheers guys!

a very nice choice!. sandstone grillhouse was a wonderful experience all around. my husband had spaghetti and meatballs (to die for), my daughter had the kids' menu pepperoni pizza (homemade - not frozen) and my mom and i had tenderloin that was divine! my dad loved his ribeye steak and the atmosphere was fabulous. i think my favorite part was the vintage cow sippy cup they brought my daughter's drink in. i only wish they had them for sale! you won't go wrong if you choose sandstone during your trip to niagara falls, on. a treasure, for sure.

st. pat's day. a group of ten dined at the sandstone on st. patrick's day. everyone had an excellent meal and our service was great. will definitely go back the next time we visit the falls.

nice atmosphere, attentive staff. my parents, partner and i went here this past weekend on our first night of our niagara falls trip. we were seated immediately, no lines. the atmosphere was nice, lovely music being played by a small band. they had a deal on bottles of wine, we ordered a pinot noir (wish i could remember the brand as it was really good) for $25! they had several dinner specials on: my partner and mom shared one that included pork tenderloin, chicken, potatoes and roasted vegetables for $45. both said it was delicious. my dad ordered a steak and said it was one of the best he's had in a long time. i ordered pasta and it too was very good. all in all, this was by far the best restaurant we visited on our niagara falls trip.
