sammy's gourmet burgers and beer

eat great food, and elbows.. love the food, the sammyburgeris just amazingly delicious. fast serives, good value, nice staff, but this place is already too successful for it's footprint. if you constantly pack the house, (with wait times) it's time to get a bigger house. this is not the right building for this. need a bigger place with more parking, or need to do some majorly creative expanding. they run the risk of having everyone walk away saying "the food is great but i just don't want to deal with the crowd so let's not go there."

after 12 hours driving, we walked from our hotel at 1055 pm and they were happy and willing to serve us even though they closed at 11. my black beanburgerwas exceptional.. definitely not the standard morning star or boca! the anthony munozburgerwas perfectly cooked and the flavor was perfectly balanced. if this restaurant could train staff worldwide on customer service the world would benefit. worth the visit!!

great burgers w several creative gourmetburgeroptions. garlic parmesan fries addictive. great craft beer selection. very juicy burgers- one of areas best. would put in top 5.

the food was just okay. i got the black beanburgerand my husband got the fire in the hole burger. both the burgers and the appetizer were not very fresh when we got them. the jalapeño poppers we ordered came out very fast and the cheese inside was not even melted. friendly staff and homey environment.

greatburgerselection - i created my own without any issues. pretty tasty - meat great quality - great service - full bar and many many tvs - they even changed one for the pittsburgh penguins game! i'll go back!

fantastic!!!! this place was packed when we arrived, but not so much that we had to wait for a table. the menu was fun, had severalburgeror sandwich options. burgers are unique and flavorful. fries were great! had several appetizers that i wanted to try but didn't (i wasn't too hungry), they sounded so good! beer menu has several options. service was goods. would highly recommend and visit again!!!!

i’m always on the lookout for greatburgerplaces; it’s a quest of sorts.  i definitely have favorites; sammy’s gourmet burgers & beers was a new find.  turns out, this small restaurant in blue ash offers a really solidburgermenu and an equally impressive craft beer selection! in fact, according to my husband, it’s easy to choose a beer because sammy’s provides a beer chart with the following: name, brewery, style, origin, and abv.    the menu includes a variety of burgers from the simple classic cheeseburger to the maple bacon to the chili (and many more)!   not pretty to eat, but great flavor combinations.  all burgers are served with garlic fries, which are garlicky good, but i am also a sucker for their thick-style onion rings!

this place is always crowded at lunch. i was able to get a bar seat which i think helped get a little more attentive service. i got the bourbonburgerand fries. man, it was a thickburgercooked a nice medium. the meat itself didn't have much flavor but the toppings gave plenty of flavors to theburgeroverall. the bourbon sauce was good but could have used a little more. my advice, get there early (before 11:30) or wait till 12:30 and you should be able to get a seat.

sammy's in blue ash is a really solid burger!  i like that the menu has a nice variety of burgers from the simple classic cheeseburger to the maple bacon to the chili (and many more)! my favorite is the guacamoleburgerwith chipotle mayo, guac, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and cheddar jack cheese.  so good!  i also really appreciate the honey kaiser roll that the burgers are served on.  it's a nice touch.  all burgers are served with fries.  i also love their onion rings!  last time we were there we started with the buffalo chicken rolls- great heat and flavor on those!  overall, decent prices and solid, all beef burger!  if you don't like beef, they also have chicken burgers, lamb burgers, and salmon burgers...something for everyone!  i would put this in your gps, it's probably not a place you would just stumble upon!  definitely worth a visit if you like burgers!

just to echo what many have already reported: beer menu is outstanding,burgerwas well-done rather than the medium i requested. it was still really good (chipotle burger) but i couldn't help but wonder much better it could have been if not overcooked. aimee took great care of us though.

i have had a few burgers, all were excellent. the salmonburgerreally stands out. there are probably over 50 beers in the house and the atmosphere is fun and lively with many t.v's affording front seat action for all the big games.

i have to cast a dissenting vote here on sammys after a less than good experience there last night

i'll start with what went well. the smell of burgers cooking as i came in from the parking lot was excellent and gave me some high hopes for my meal. smelled like a summer picnic with dad on the charcoal grill. waitress was solidly good, answered my many questions, and allowed me to get half and half on my fries (half garlic, half sweet potato)

everything else went rather badly. for 12.00 i received an overcooked (mw when mr was requested) and fairly dryburgerwith shredded lettuce (at this price point, i expected a nice piece or two of leaf lettuce) one slice of cheese instead of the two i ordered and paid extra for, and no grilled onions. when i pointed out that there were no grilled onions, a dish of oil-soaked barely cooked (no browning, no charring) onions was brought to me to add . i had asked if the bun was toasted or grilled in the aforementioned many questions, was told it was toasted, but this one wasn't. the fries brought to me on the first try were the wrong kind, and the ones that were brought to me as a correction were cold, old, and lacking anything remotely resembling crispness

i was asked how my experience was on the way out, and was honest about it. i did not expect to be comped, but it is nice to be offered to be comped or at least discounted, and i wasn't.

it is clear to me that this place has the ability to put out much better food than i received, but on this night, that wasn't the case. i won't be returning.

great restaurant. in town foe the week and this restaurant is perfect. walking distance from the hotel and the food makes you want to come back. had aburgerone night and the wings the next night. the wings were really good but theburgerwas the better of the two. in addition to the food, they have a great selection of craft beers. the craft beers are kind of expensive but they have your bud lights and such if you want. it's a great restaurant and i wish i had one where i live

great find! best lambburgerand turkeyburgerwe've ever had.

not impressed. we had high hopes that this place would live up to its reputation as a greatburgerplace. both off our burgers were so overdone that we had to send them back (ordered them medium rare). catfishburgerwas definitely the best. also, can't respect a place that tried to pass off flavored mayonnaise as tzatziki sauce
