is there an "i want to like it" button?. russillo's has a great location in track 29 with good outdoor seating, so it would be a wonderful place to go for a relaxing outdoor meal with friends. the trouble is that the service is consistently subpar...it's not as though they don't try, it's more like this is where all the brand-new servers with no restaurant experience work. splitting checks can have disastrous consequences (particularly if you have atimecrunch or are doing anything other than splitting in half), drinks get forgotten multiple times in one visit, orders are wrong...all of those freshman mistakes that shouldn't be happening at an established restaurant. the food is about $3 overpriced for what you get, and the quality is still inconsistent between visits. i really want to come here and have a great time! but russillo's still has some polishing of the basics to do first.

friends please be advised the owner of this establishment does not pay his bills he's a mean cruel person to his employees and management staff he degrades women he is scandalous and runs a fraudulent company he has issues with plumbing that reflect on your health but he does not address them.
he is not up to code on health issues. he contracts work to be done and will not pay you for yourtimeand or materials. he uses vulgar language and immaturity to try to get away with not paying. lonnie davis is a shame to our hard working businesses.

i have been here twice. i will not go back. firsttimethe food was tasteless and the wait staff was awful. was told by the coffee shop next door they had hired back original chef and food quality came up

not even factual. it's over priced and tasteless. bothtimemy i felt sick the next day. bothtimethe staff was awful. the secondtimethey ran out of garlic. really you can't go to the grocery store 3 blocks away and get garlic?

the nail that shit their coffin was the rude wait staff refusing to let a service dog a comply a disabled person. it was clear the dog was for service. it had on the right vest to identify. and the staff was very rude to the dog owners. i hope they report them to the ada.

$23.78 for a 12" meat lovers pizza, 1 lemonade, 1 cup of coffee and "2 canolis". the pizza was paper thin. the "2 canolis" were actually 1 canoli cut in half. there was no offer of any refills for the beverages. the pizza tasted pretty good but was a ripoff for what you get. the waitress never told us what the specials were even though she told the people behind us after we had ordered. the wholetimewe ate our food the staff stood around at the hostess station gossiping and staring at us. very rude and uncomfortable. it seems like this place is staffed by a bunch of teenagers run amuck. our waitress seemed to be the only person doing anything. everyone else just stood around shooting the breeze. it took 25 minutes to make a small pizza and the place was empty. i would hate to experience this place during a rush (if most of the customers haven't been run off yet). i'm guessing the only rush they get is when the staff's other teenage buddies show up to freeload food. if this place goes under it is the owners fault for not reining in all their young workers.

absolutely terrible service. i think the pizza here is pretty good, but lately the service i've received on take-out orders has been totally sub-par. last night was the absolute worst. i ordered over the phone and was told my pizza would take 15-20 minutes. i arrived about 25 minutes after i ordered and the girl who helped me said there was no order from "joe." i could order a pizza though if i wanted one. right. it must be my mistake because i routinely walk in to pizzerias pretending i called in an order under my name and expecting the order to be ready. i politely advised the girl that i ordered the pizza nearly half an hour ago and that i was told it would be ready.

she then called the other girl working over to the hostess stand, who confirmed that she indeed took my order over the phone and that somehow the order was not entered into their system and relayed back to the kitchen. i heard a "whoops," but the girl who took my order never even acknowledged my existence. okay. everyone makes mistakes and i'm willing to accept that fact of life. the girl who made the mistake is young and she must just be learning. the other girl who initially didn't believe i had ordered a pizza told me that the pizza would be ready in ten minutes and that instead of a 16 inch, they'd give me an 18 inch.

the problem was there was no apology at all and the offer of a bigger pizza wasn't really a consolation. if i wanted an 18 inch i would have ordered one. the younger girl's boyfriend? (eachtimeshe passed him, they exchanged words) was lounging in the seating area for customers with his feet plopped up on the bench, so there was really no good place for any actual paying customer to sit. rather than offer me a seat in the dining room, i was left awkwardly standing at the hostess stand until i took the initiative to sit down at a dining room table to wait for my pizza. 20+ minutes later without so much as an offer of a glass of water from either server, i hear the kitchen call out the order and see a pizza box sitting under the heat lamps. i wait a full five minutes with my pizza in the window for one of the two girls to retrieve it. no dice. they couldn't be bothered, nor could the kitchen staff be bothered to remind them there was a hot order up... you know, the order they had totally screwed up. i see each of the two girls pass the window where the pizza sits at least twice during these five minutes, grabbing water to refill the glasses of their seated customers or fiddling with other side work. the younger girl even had a short conversation with her boyfriend.

fed up, i walk to the kitchen, confirm it's my pizza sitting in the window more than an hour after i ordered it and forty minutes after it was supposed to be ready, and i grab it and walk out of the restaurant. until i hear the management of this restaurant have fixed their personnel problems and have taught their staff to be courteous and act professionally i will not return. it must be really embarrassing to manage/own such a poorly run restaurant.

totally bummed. my husband, daughter and i went to dinner at rusillo's. my husband ordered the knuckle sandwhich which says it has 2 kinds of cheese, marinara and up to 4 pizza toppings. a drunk guy came in and distracted the kitchen staff, so they didn't put cheese, not sure if it had marinara (didn't on the 1/2 my husband ate) but it did have the toppings. the staff offered to remake it but we didn't havetimeto wait. the waitress said she had a 10% off coupon she would give us. meanwhile, we had a bite of our daughter's "apple orchard salad." it was missing the apples and swimming in dressing. the still only gave us 10% off. i was really disappointed at the customer service in this situation.

casual dining yet classy dining. out of all the many unique dining experiences to choose from in "the palm springs" of washington also known as yakima, mike bastinelli's russillo's pizza and gelato is a quite the hit! on a scale from 1 to 10 i give it an 11.
*first impression
its outdoor décor is especially welcoming and pleasing to the eye. its authentic re-creation of a little italy enchantingly invites people of all ages and any occasion. whether you are young or elderly, celebrating your birthday, anniversary or simply gathering with family or friends, the character and charm of the restaurant has the potential to settle in the heart of any occasion.
*overall setup
every table is dressed with simple class. a checkered pattern cloth covering the surface, and to top it off, each table is complimented with a personal candle and a vase that holds a single flower. there is an open-ness to the overall environment. not only does it give an exceptional dining experience, the kitchen is open to its customers, in fact one of the dining tables neighbors the counter where they build their gourmet pizzas from scratch.
the restaurant also satisfies a summer mood, the same mannered tables are set up outside so when summer comes along, you have a choice to dine and bask in the beautiful sunshine or stay indoors and cool down in serene shade.

*food/prices
its satisfaction doesn't end there. the food is the key to every customer's stomach. its delectable menu is the heart of the restaurant. they have a wild selection of extravagant well-dressed salads, heavily and stomach fulfilling stacked sandwiches and wraps, creative, personally hand-tossed and carefully topped gourmet pizzas, and perfectly priced personally customized pastas! then to complete your meal you are more than welcomed to devour their homemade gelato ice cream with 10 choices that you can mix and match. you will pay no more than 15 dollars for an entrée unless it's a shared pizza, the price is reasonable matched up against its portion and the quality of its preparation, well worth it.
my visit there, i chose to customize and put together a pasta combination. i chose for the firsttimeto put together cheese ravioli with their alfredo sauce. never thought to combine the two, yet their creamy blend of garlic, immersed with its italian seasoning and cheeses convinced me to appoint another promised visit to russillo's the nexttimei'm in town. i spent no more than $20 there, and i had cheesy bread appetizer, my customized pasta and a sensational combination of 2 kinds of gelato, sweet cherry amaretto and astronomical almond.
*service
their service was like the cherry on top of the treat. because of its popularity, the restaurant when packed with hungry customers, their servers, hosts and the owner himself maintains a genuine fine composure. no matter how large the party they make sure your dining experience is superb.
*conclusion/personal story
i came with the volleyball team that i coach, a group of adolescent 13 year olds. we came into russillo's basically almost booked and full. with a doubtful look, one of the servers almost turned us away and told us we had to have made reservations with a party more than 6. but the owner himself, mike bastinelli, pulled loose chairs and brought them to the front tables where the entrance was of the restaurant. he told us there is surely enough room for the thirteen of us. i had to thank him for his accommodation for a tough group. a group of young teenage girls and thirteen of them!? mike even took thetimeto personally shake my hand and engage in conversation with me and wish us luck at our competition there in yakima.
mike bastinelli's russillo's pizza and gelato is an unforgettable experience. from the appearance to the quality food and its varieties and its heart-warming hospitality. i have never felt so welcomed to an unfamiliar city; i would give a rating of 5 stars for being almost a home away from home in a sense. a very authentic and genuine dining experience which may be very rare to find elsewhere.

great pizza & even better gelato! after an awful meal at sage the night before we tried russilos with wonderful results. excellent pie - hand thrown crust, chewy, fresh toppings, perfectly cooked. huge & tasty plate of spagetti & meatballs. when it cametime4 dessert the waitress brought to the table a plate with easily a dozen tasting spoons with a bite of each flavor of gelato available - all home made. we opted 4 the awesome strawberry, peppermint & coffee, but all were good. mike was in the kitchen & also checking tables 2 make sure all well. excellent server. nice 2 finally leave a yakima restuarant pleased. (most of the restuarants in this town r over-rated at best 4 $$.)

is the thirdtimethe charm?. ok, i suppose that this isn't russillo's third try at business; but it is its third location and second try at staying in business. going back to their roots, russillo's is located in a significantly larger track 29 suite that is more charming and has a lot more potential than the cramped digs they started in, also at track 29, but many feet down the boardwalk.

most of what was best about their menu remains, artisan pizza creations, excellent dinner salads, flavorful pasta dishes and homemade gelato. the menu is large enough that you can find something new to try eachtimeyou go, and as such i'm at a loss as to what to recommend from the menu. if having pizza, don't shoot in the dark and choose your own toppings, you are bound to miss out on one of the house specialty pizzas which are far better than anything you could come up with while staring at a menu.

i also highly recommend russillo's for catering. they are able to make massive pizzas that can feed large quantities of people. unlike other super large pizzas i've had in my life, russillo's large pizzas are not over or underdone and contain sufficient toppings that each bite is satisfying and just as authentic as a regular sized pizza.

if russillo's can focus on the things they know how to do, pizza, pasta, gelato. i think they can make this restaurant work, and i sure hope they do.
