good food, terrible service. ordering a drink from the bar? better get ready to wait. it looks like there is only 1 person that can make drinks/pour beer. the service is slow and they do not hesitate to tack on an extra gratuity if you have 6 or more.
food isgoodfor yakima, but not stellar. may choose to visit another restaurant if we weren't so limited.

is there an "i want to like it" button?. russillo's has a great location in track 29 withgoodoutdoor seating, so it would be a wonderful place to go for a relaxing outdoor meal with friends. the trouble is that the service is consistently subpar...it's not as though they don't try, it's more like this is where all the brand-new servers with no restaurant experience work. splitting checks can have disastrous consequences (particularly if you have a time crunch or are doing anything other than splitting in half), drinks get forgotten multiple times in one visit, orders are wrong...all of those freshman mistakes that shouldn't be happening at an established restaurant. the food is about $3 overpriced for what you get, and the quality is still inconsistent between visits. i really want to come here and have a great time! but russillo's still has some polishing of the basics to do first.

$23.78 for a 12" meat lovers pizza, 1 lemonade, 1 cup of coffee and "2 canolis". the pizza was paper thin. the "2 canolis" were actually 1 canoli cut in half. there was no offer of any refills for the beverages. the pizza tasted prettygoodbut was a ripoff for what you get. the waitress never told us what the specials were even though she told the people behind us after we had ordered. the whole time we ate our food the staff stood around at the hostess station gossiping and staring at us. very rude and uncomfortable. it seems like this place is staffed by a bunch of teenagers run amuck. our waitress seemed to be the only person doing anything. everyone else just stood around shooting the breeze. it took 25 minutes to make a small pizza and the place was empty. i would hate to experience this place during a rush (if most of the customers haven't been run off yet). i'm guessing the only rush they get is when the staff's other teenage buddies show up to freeload food. if this place goes under it is the owners fault for not reining in all their young workers.

absolutely terrible service. i think the pizza here is pretty good, but lately the service i've received on take-out orders has been totally sub-par. last night was the absolute worst. i ordered over the phone and was told my pizza would take 15-20 minutes. i arrived about 25 minutes after i ordered and the girl who helped me said there was no order from "joe." i could order a pizza though if i wanted one. right. it must be my mistake because i routinely walk in to pizzerias pretending i called in an order under my name and expecting the order to be ready. i politely advised the girl that i ordered the pizza nearly half an hour ago and that i was told it would be ready.

she then called the other girl working over to the hostess stand, who confirmed that she indeed took my order over the phone and that somehow the order was not entered into their system and relayed back to the kitchen. i heard a "whoops," but the girl who took my order never even acknowledged my existence. okay. everyone makes mistakes and i'm willing to accept that fact of life. the girl who made the mistake is young and she must just be learning. the other girl who initially didn't believe i had ordered a pizza told me that the pizza would be ready in ten minutes and that instead of a 16 inch, they'd give me an 18 inch.

the problem was there was no apology at all and the offer of a bigger pizza wasn't really a consolation. if i wanted an 18 inch i would have ordered one. the younger girl's boyfriend? (each time she passed him, they exchanged words) was lounging in the seating area for customers with his feet plopped up on the bench, so there was really nogoodplace for any actual paying customer to sit. rather than offer me a seat in the dining room, i was left awkwardly standing at the hostess stand until i took the initiative to sit down at a dining room table to wait for my pizza. 20+ minutes later without so much as an offer of a glass of water from either server, i hear the kitchen call out the order and see a pizza box sitting under the heat lamps. i wait a full five minutes with my pizza in the window for one of the two girls to retrieve it. no dice. they couldn't be bothered, nor could the kitchen staff be bothered to remind them there was a hot order up... you know, the order they had totally screwed up. i see each of the two girls pass the window where the pizza sits at least twice during these five minutes, grabbing water to refill the glasses of their seated customers or fiddling with other side work. the younger girl even had a short conversation with her boyfriend.

fed up, i walk to the kitchen, confirm it's my pizza sitting in the window more than an hour after i ordered it and forty minutes after it was supposed to be ready, and i grab it and walk out of the restaurant. until i hear the management of this restaurant have fixed their personnel problems and have taught their staff to be courteous and act professionally i will not return. it must be really embarrassing to manage/own such a poorly run restaurant.

good pizza high price/vegetarian review. infinitely better than pizza hut, papa john's, domino's etc...however, it is pizza...dough with toppings. a large neopolitan pizza should not be so expensive. a neopolitan has the dough (which is good, but i request an extra few minutes in the oven for the best crunch/doneness), basil, tomatoes/sauce, and mozzarella...russillo's feels the need to add parmesan to the mix, which is fine, but not needed. i feel like this pizza is a good/great option for a vegetarian looking for agoodpizza in yakima, as well as the other veggie options they have on the menu. they also have a menu item called the veggie roll...i like to order it without cheese and all the veggies, but it tends to be under-cooked. the oven is probably at a constant temperature (for maximum pizza doneness), and that is fine, but i would request the roll to be cooked for a few minutes longer to ensure the dough isn't, well, doughy. i have never had a "soggy" salad at russilos. the pasta is...well...meh...sauce is good, pasta tends to be overcooked. the service is excellent! especially if you are a "local". but don't be scared if you aren't, it's a fun place that is right downtown, has agoodwine/beer selection and is agoodplace to take your family from out of town for some pizza and local wine. ps, did i mention the awesome staff? great servers!!!

yummmmm. we ordered 2 different chicken sandwich's and 2 kinds of gelato, but when it got here one of the gelato flavors was missing. so i called back and the owner himself not only brought our gelato, but we got a bigger size and a 10% off coupon on our next purchase! the sandwich's and salads tasted sogoodi almost felt bad for calling and asking for my other gelato flavor!! we would both recommend it and will be customers again very soon!

almost asgoodas new york!. my husband and i recently moved here and thought that we would would be forced to exist on frozen or take and bake pizza. (we are both from the east coast and have had the luxury of eating great pizza from new york) fortunately, we found russillo's, a pizza oasis. the crust is thin and crispy. the sauce zesty and seasoned perfectly. the pizza is not greasy either. the inside of the restaurant is kitschy and i suspect you better begoodfriends with neighboring tables when they are busy. they do have ample outdoor seating on the boardwalk which is perfect for a cool evening. our waitress was very attentive and our pizza came out very quickly. the prices are excellent. the only complaint that i have is that they seem to have a small menu....they don't have antipastas or any fried mozzerella. if you have eaten here yet, what are you waiting for?

worth the wait. we have dined at russillo's at all three locations - and this one (now owned and operated by mike bastinelli) is by far the best! the food was alwaysgood- but at the other locations it seemed to take forever to get it... at the current location on track 29, the service is much improved, the food is incredible, and the atmosphere great! we had a large party out on the deck over the summer and mike took care of us and treated us well. for outdoor seating - this place is a much... and now that it is getting colder - the indoor feel is just as fun - although a bit more intimate!

we couldn't choose and had a pizza with 1/2 bbq chicken, and 1/2 chicken pesto - sooooooo good! of course, to end the meal - we splurged on the delicious gelato too!

rumor has it they also deliver? i haven't tried that yet as i am way out west - but what a great idea!
