the only way you could get closer to the sea is if you physically went and dove into it. a lovely venue to enjoy sundowners and perhaps share a pizza with a group of friends for an appetizer, but unfortunately i felt the food wasn't that great. i was expecting genuineitalianfood, but i got a typical south african version of pizza and pasta.
i'll get straight to it - the food wasn't that bad, but it wasn't good either. it's a very "local is lekker" kind of place and i suppose you get a good idea of the local vibe if you dine here. my better half had the porca pizza with avo and i had the seafood linguine. the pizza was good and had generous toppings. my pasta was also quite a generous portion (i couldn't finish it), but the sauce was very watery, so i ended up having to spoon it over my pasta to give it some taste.
i definitely recommend you try their desserts, especially the sorbets - very refreshing, especially on a hot summer's evening. i had the tiramisu, which is also quite a big portion and tasty, but i've had better.
overall, a nice evening, but not something to cry home about. we enjoyed the relaxed vibe with live music playing in the background, the waves crashing on the rocks beneath us. nice venue, but don't expect too much from the food.
