which location of rancho alegre-savannah?. i know that rancho alegrecubanrestaurant has two locations. is there a difference in price, menu, or quality in either of the locations?

this was americanizedcubanfood.  we were disappointed!  we hoped to find some authentic food in savannah. if chef boy-ar-dee madecubanfood, this would be it.  i continue to be disillusioned by restaurants in savannah.

went there for the first time last week to get somecubanfood. i got there and was told by the host to find somewhere to sit. i sat down at a table and zero wait staff came over to take my order. i ended up leaving. i will never go there again.

i love this place. greatcubanseafood and as close to real/legit sangria as you can find in a restaurant. most weekends they have a pretty great 4-5 piece latin jazz group that plays.

really nice atmosphere, and live jazz. very good service, and moderate prices. food is okay, not authenticcubancuisine ("restaurant wouldn't last a week in miami", to quote my cuban-born mother after our meal), but says something about the vibe and service that has lasted 16 years in savannah.

had promise.it was crowded always a good sign, but thecubansandwich was not hot, cheese not melted, pork was cold cuts...wtf!?!? just did not deliver on the promise. sad really because i was looking forward to crispy bread, shreaded pork, and spicy mustard. i got a warm pressed cold cut sandwich on soggy bread. i wanted to like it. sorry i stopped and wasted $10 on lunch :-(

fantastic. had lunch there today after a neighbor in bluffton, sc raved about it. having lived in the tampa bay area for 10 years i visited manycubanrestaurants. rancho alegre has them all beat hands down. the chicken was excellent and the grilled grouper was incredible. this is definitely on my list of favorites and i can't wait to go back for dinner when there is entertainment.

hilariously terrible. the epitome of a parody: the half an hour we spent there was far too much, the meat at outback is of higher quality. a local school band would put these supposed musicians to shame. who hires a smooth jazz ensemble for acubanrestaurant?

good price.. good food. rancho alegre provided a very fun evening for me and my family. the atmosphere/ decor of the restaurant is terrific. i ordered acubansandwich, and it was probably the best one i have had in a long time. it was only 6.75 and came with black beans. i feel that it was worth the price. the tres leche was a delicious dessert too. i will definitely be a return customer here!

worst food ever!! either all previous reviews are written by the owner or they just really believe this is whatcubanfood is supposed to taste like! well believe me it definitely does not! i am puerto rican/cuban and i am embarrassed and offended that this place is trying to pass this off as authenticcubanfood! they may have hector or celia playing in the background but that's about as ethnic as this place gets! the yellow rice had absolutely no flavor and truly tasted like minute rice. the bistec was dry with no flavor what so ever! the pink beans just as bland! where's the sofrito? at this point i didn't even want to waste another dime by ordering a marguerita just to find out it would have tasted like water with lemon! urbanspoon reviews were definitely misleading on this one! don't waste your $$$!!!

we were incubanheaven for sure! the roasted pork they serve is out of this world. the restaurant also had a nice ambience and so i neglected/decided to not use my flash, so be aware, there are some crazy yellow pictures after the jump!

great off the beaten pathcubanrestaurant. friendly staff great sangria, plantains and you have to share the tres leches cake. excellent value. wonderful flavors.
