average italian food but atrocious service. we waited 45 minutes for a table after being told we would be next. several favourite clear regulars were seated ahead of us. once seated, we waited 25 minutes to be even acknowleged by the waitress. it was explained thatbshe didn't realize we were in her section. simple orders took over an hour to arrive and then came staggered so we all (4) ate at different times. the wait was so long that a kind gentleman took pity on our children and gave them each a piece of his pizza while we waited. the wait staff all stood around drinking grappa and having a greattimewhile the customers all stewed in silence. i have no idea how this place stays in business, treating customers so poorly and i would never go back! avoid this place unless you have at least three hours to waist on average food.

went there tonight for the firsttimeas a family, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. it doesn't look like much from the outside, but the interior was nice and the food was excellent. enjoyed the calamari and the bocconcini appetizers, then me and the kids shared their godfather's choice and davide's inferno pizzas (the latter is very very spicy), and we loved the thin crust and the light use of sauce. the service was pleasant and attentive, and the wine was enjoyable, a tasty nero d'avola, although i wish they had some draught beer as well.

this is my alltimefavourite pizza place in edmonton! why? first, it's a family-owned restaurant and the owners are always present to personally greet you. everytimei come here i always feel like i'm eating at a warm, comfortable, classy family-like setting. second, the owners are involved with preparing and creating the pizzas and dishes. you know a restaurant is serious about making their dishes when the owners are directly involved. lastly, the quality of the food at this place. their pizzas all have a great balance of fresh ingredients and the crusts have a nice crisp crunch to them. other pizza places i've tried either load up on too much cheese, make their pizzas with too much dough with very little toppings, or make their crusts way too chewy. i like my pizzas well-balanced with a nice crisp crust. i usually get the bronx and add bacon, red onions, & 1/3 the spice. this customized bronx is the best pizza i've ever had! other must-try dishes are their antipasto di salsiccia, calamari, and original soprano bread which are to die for!!

nope. i was so disappointed that this turned out as gross as it did. i had the pasta andrea, and it was so salty that i had to drink water between every bite, we had atimelimit at our table so by thetimewe got our food we had to wolf it down, and i left hungry because the portion was so small. i'm pretty sure the menu said i'd have artichokes in my pasta too, and i didn't find any. the best part was the outrageously priced glass of house red. i definitely won't be back.

simply wonderful!. we stopped in for a late dinner last night. this place is a little gem! the food was simply amazing. it was hot, delicious and more than we had expected. the service was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. we will be back nexttimewe are in edmonton.

good but not great !!!. went last evening after talking with friends who raved about the place. great location, lots of parking, very nice decor and service. our lettuce salad was more than tasty, extremely tasty actually, but the lettuce and other veggies that made it up were a bit "limp" like they had been sitting out on the counter for the afternoon. my wife's wine was fine, they must measure the portion with an eyedropper though, it looked a bit borderline on the amount poured. we ordered a 14" bronx pizza, maybe a wee bit pricey, nexttimei would just order from the choose-your-own toppings list, i think it would be cheaper. once again, the pizza was delicious, very tasty but the crust was burnt (which i didn't mind but some people might raise an eyebrow). my biggest complaint was that the pizza wasn't really hot out of the oven, sort of just "warmish" would be a good word to describe it. overall though, i'd rate the evening at 7/10 considering all facets of what we experienced.

my hidden secret. fresh italian, well priced with great atmosphere. staff are happy workers, owner is usually on hand. in my top five of favorite places to eat. get the godfather pizza as it does not disappoint. the only issue we have here is sometimes they run out of items if you are a late diner. like tiramisu???? and calamari. the nexttimewe were sure to reserve early. fantastic tomato sauce, great for a family dinner as well as quiet and romantic.

ask to be sat away from the front windows as it gets extremely drafty there.

thetimebetween finishing the meal and waiting for the bill was quite a generous allotment, although only half an hour, it was adequatetimefor me to peruse the contents of my phone and write this review, contemplating the other possible food choices that could have been mine. yet i sit here, as the table of family friends of the restaurant owner seated next to me get preferential treatment. despite not making reservations we were delighted we only had to wait 25 minutes for a table, although the assortment of available tables must have been there to give the restaurant a sense of availability. i was overjoyed when our table already had a bottle of sparkling water on it, thinking it was a gift. yet i was more than happy to learn it was only to be a nice touch to the decoration of our small table, and not to be consumed by us. the food itself was decent but the generous amount oftimethe servers have us to ponder about life was greatly appreciated. of the 2.5 hours that we spent at this established, approximately 30 minutes was spent eating. thus is life, the good things take some waiting to get to, although i wish it wasn't in the proportions we experienced this evening and for something so mediocre.

loved it!. we were craving for pasta but good pasta and were having a hardtimecoming up with ideas when my husband remembered this place that we drive past all the time. we stopped in on a friday night, no reservation, with a baby. they found us a table, gave us great service and the food was delicious! i ordered the penne arrabiata, it wasn't quite spicy enough for me (but nothing ever is!) and my husband ordered the lasagna and he really liked it. the half pint ate so much penne alfredo, we couldn't believe it. everyone was so friendly, dessert was delicious...we will definitely be back!

weren't even served lunch. we arrived on a wednesday at 12:10pm for lunch, just two of us. ordered water and paninis with salads. at 12:45pm we were told our lunch was going to be up in 2 minutes. at 12:58pm, we finally had to ask for it to be wrapped to go because we had no moretimeto waste for lunch. they packaged our lunches separately based on the two different paninis that we ordered but still managed to mess up the order. i get back to my office to eat my long-awaited lunch, and instead of the italian panini i ordered, i chew down on tough-as-leather chicken. i have been to ragazzi for dinner and it was great but i will never be back for lunch again. hire more people to work on the floor and in the kitchen. we didn't get a refill on our drinks until 20 minutes after our glasses were empty. unreal.

ordered two pasta dishes and the bruscetta for take out and picked up the order as it was coming out of the kitchen. bruscetta was alright but the tomatoes were under ripe and the entire thing had a bit too much oil. the pasta dishes were just alright. i'm still looking forward to trying the pizza.

worst experience, bland food poor service over priced. where do i begin... we were seated promptly around 12:30 which was the only good thing. my husband ordered a specialty coffee which he never received and i ordered an orangina which the glass was full of ice with a splash of juice. our only appetizer that we received was incorrect and with our failed attempts to notify the server we just ate it anyway. when our entrées arrived over an hour from us ordering we were disappointed. my husband ordered cannelloni that came with what appeared to be a square soggy lasagna noodle folded over a lump of mushy veal, when he cut into it flipped open. i ordered the ravioli with tomato sauce and basil, the 3 pieces ravioli were soaking in water from the pot in my dish with a scoop of ragu plopped on top with dehydrated parsley flakes sprinkled on the plate with no basil to be found. we put out jackets on when the waitress finally acknowledged us we began to explain our disappointment she blamed us for ordering the wrong appetizer and said there was nothing wrong with our food, the lasttimei checked cannelloni came in a tube of pasta and the menu didnt say ravioli served with water from the pot. my husband approached the till and was handed the bill expecting to pay for what we ate but was handed a bill for the entire order, which he paid, including the coffee he never received and the entrees we never ate. with the prices they charge the should hire more staff so the waitress doesn't have to have an attitude when dealing with paying patrons.

love it!. the pizza here is amazing. i have been going to ragazzi for years and there pizza is the best thin crust there is. i tried the pasta lasttimeand it was awesome the portion was a little small on the gnocchi but it was very tasty. the service is always great. it is always a great place to go.

you would never think one would find such delectable cuisine with such a warm inviting atmosphere in such an odd location. the restaurant is located in this tiny strip mall near bonnie doon mall, where no one would ever think of looking for treasure. but i assure you, if you venture there, a treasure is what you will find!

i have sampled pizza all around this city, but have never had anything remotely comparable to ragazzi's creations! the crust is light, crisp and tasty, covered with a savory sauce, then layered with any toppings your heart desires. the tantalizing aroma of the pizza permeates the air as soon as you step into this italian wonderland. i promise you, your mouth will start watering before you are even seated.

they have a great selection of apps to choose from. my personal favorites - their yummy inslata mista (who knew a simple green salad could be so addictive!), their delicious boccocini coperti, and their appetizing calamari. then you get to choose from what seems like thousands of their signature pizzas or create your very own masterpiece. i suggest the godfather's pizza. what a piece of art that is!!! and then of course, who in their right mind would turn down an order of their mother's homemade tiramisu. i swear this recipe was sent to her from the heavens above!!! i would be completely content eating this heavenly dessert everyday, every meal for the rest of my life!

the young men that own and run this place are sweethearts. they make everyone who enters their establishment feel like part of their family, and that is why i plan on going back again and again and again. this was my first, but definitely not my last excursion to ragazzi bistro. nexttimei will try a new app and sample one of their pastas.
i absolutely urge you to experience ragazzi bistro for yourselves!!!!!

a must try, a for sure will love!. best restaurant ever. the food is amazing, it is authentically italian, their ravioli is amazing, the tomato sauce is fresh and simply amazing, their pizza is typical italian pizza, and please don't go without trying their spinach salad.
they have all of the italian classics such as tiramisu which is to die for.
i do believe everything is made there, and not shipped in.
for this little restaurant, the wait is not long at all, the servers are extremely efficient and the what i believe are owners really are italian. they are very kind and i had a wonderful conversation with them.
eating at this restaurant i feel like i am at a bistro in italy because of how authentic the food is.
defiantly my favourite restaurant.
this restaurant is consistent in the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. i have been many times and everytimei am pleasantly surprised. also if you are feeling curious and brave, the staff are knowledged and know what the are talking about. they also seem to really have a team atmosphere where everybody gets along, almost like a family.
a must try, but warning, you will never want to go any other restaurant ever again!
best and cheapest way to get a taste of little italy.
