best italian in edmonton. my husband and i are regulars here, we keep coming back because we are always happy with the food and service. the food is fresh and delicious - especially the spaghetti carbonara (my favourite!!!) but everything is always great appetizers, pizza, pasta, entrees, desert. very friendly and welcoming ambiance and staff. we will continue to be regulars for many years to come :) thanks ragazzi!

get the godfather. i love this place for one reason: the godfather pizza. definitely my favorite pizza in edmonton. it's a must-have. as for the remaining aspects of the restaurant, they can be hit or miss. food is generally pretty good, although i feel the pizza is the strong aspect of the menu. the space itself is rather uninspiringly decorated, but definitely more than tolerable. service can be slow at times, but it never seems to bother me because the godfather is so good.

while their pizzas are above average, their pasta dishes fall short. a large plate of pasta is served with a small amount of sauce. prepare for carb overload! i know i could have made
a better dinner myself; the pasta was slightly overlooked, and the sauce was only seasoned with fresh basil. the lack of fresh parmesan cheese was also alarming; the shaker on the table had what i assume to be grated kraft parmesan cheese... the service was
good, though slow. waiting for our bill was the longest part of the evening.

average italian food but atrocious service. we waited 45 minutes for a table after being told we would be next. several favourite clear regulars were seated ahead of us. once seated, we waited 25 minutes to be even acknowleged by the waitress. it was explained thatbshe didn't realize we were in her section. simple orders took over an hour to arrive and then came staggered so we all (4) ate at different times. the wait was so long that a kind gentleman took pity on our children and gave them each a piece of his pizza while we waited. the wait staff all stood around drinking grappa and having a great time while the customers all stewed in silence. i have no idea how this place stays in business, treating customers so poorly and i would never go back! avoid this place unless you have at least three hours to waist on average food.

go to ragazzi for the best authentic italian food. the pizza is #1 and the soprano bread is simply awesome.

delicious food, wonderful environment. there isn't one thing off their menu that i haven't enjoyed to the point that i have to restrain myself from licking the plate! the staff are always super friendly and as attentive as they can be with an ever bustling business. i have not ordered take-out from here, but i quite enjoy the cozy atmosphere and made-to-order food that i would much rather eat in. also i don't think my take out would make it all the way home :)

2nd time. good food: caneloni and lasagna. dry and tasteless tabvle bread, which are actually sliced stale buns. but thgey're complimentary so no loss. great price for the food and wine. two diners and two vino glasses were $42.00. we'll shall return.

good food and service. can't say nothing bad about this place as the food was pretty good and so was the service. everyone enjoyed the meal. it was my birthday and they presented me with a complimentary tiramisu. definitely would eat here again.

the coliseum at night.... ...one of my favourite memories in italy was eating the best pizza i had ever eaten while i sat on a bridge with a bottle of wine and took in the beautiful sight of the coliseum lit up at night. although you can't walk the streets of edmonton with a bottle of wine and the scenery may be a touch less inspiring, you can have the best real italian thin crust pizza you've ever tried in your life. ragazzi is the place for it. who knew we had this little gem here in our backyard? all the pizza is good but i highly recommend the godfather. their insalata mista is also refreshingly satisfying and their pull apart bread is simply delicious. dare to be drawn in.

my wife and i went for dinner we shared a pizza and penne arrabiata.
the food was excellent, tasty and hot. the service was excellent, friendly and fast.
for dessert we ordered a lemon gelato and a tiramisu which was heavenly.
i recommend this restaurant to anyone that would like to experience an italian meal.
the price was very reasonable for what we ordered.

this pizza is awesome! not greasy, thin crust - so good! great prices - a fav for pizza nights. their soprano bread is so good and the servers are polite and friendly.

the pizza taste decent when it's warm. but once it cools down, the crust becomes hard like cardboard. my companion said that the knife provided for us was not sharp enough to cut through it. i'm not sure if we got a bad batch or whatever but it was very disappointing.

i made a reservation for my birthday about a week in advance. i had about 10 people waiting for over an hour to be seated. we waited over an hour again for everyone to get their food. food was decent but a bit on the salty side. would not recommend to anyone.
