i dreamt of these crepes.. we happened onrachel'slast year, in town on a music friday and the place we were planning to go to was rained out. we headed up the road to an indoor spot with food. what a fantastic surprise! delicious, fresh food, made to order and really very large portions. good live music too! for a year i said "next time we're in lancaster, we're eating atrachel'sagain" and so we did. last night we were back, again a music friday. we got there on the early side for dinner so there was plenty of seating, and the musician was just setting up. my daughter ate the spanish omelet crepe and my other daughter had the veggie burrito crepe. i ate a veggie santa fe and my husband had the cheeseburger crepe. not a one of us could even consider dessert (a shame, i know) after finishing our huge crepes. we were prepared for a longer wait but the food came out pretty fast. i don't mind a wait for freshly prepared food. we all thought our own choice was the best, although i'm going to go on record & say: the veggie santa fe wins, hands down. also, rachel'shas their own blend of lonely monk coffee that is out of this world. i went home with a bag of coffee and if i could have put 20 crepes in my bag, i would have done that too. a lancaster staple - do not miss this place!
