rachel's cafe & creperie

très bon. several friends had recommendedrachel'sso i made a quick stop this afternoon for a dessert and a coffee. the place was packed (always a good sign), but i was able to get a table. i ordered the tavern on the green crepe (which was the only crepe to be listed as 'dine in only' -- not sure why), which consisted of fresh berries, sour cream, and brown sugar. it was absolutely delicious, and on par with crepes i ate in france. the coffee i ordered was also of good quality and went great with my dessert. i would be curious to try some of their dinner crepes, which the people at the table next to me seemed to be enjoying. looking forward to my next visit.

i've visitedrachel'slast week and was very pleased with the service. they had a considerable number of customers coming in going,and handled them efficiently and quickly. i had one of the breakfast crapes, and it was excellent. it was thicker and the wimpy crêpes i had in richmond. i fully intended to have a buttered crêpe for dessert but after the breakfast crepe i didn't have room. i will definitely be visiting with these folks early and often.

you wouldn't figure an eatery serving what is typically viewed as breakfast food to be busy in the evening butrachel'scertainly was.  the savory crepes were the ones to dine on for dinner. no added sugar.  it tasted flat and

i dreamt of these crepes.. we happened onrachel'slast year, in town on a music friday and the place we were planning to go to was rained out. we headed up the road to an indoor spot with food. what a fantastic surprise! delicious, fresh food, made to order and really very large portions. good live music too! for a year i said "next time we're in lancaster, we're eating atrachel'sagain" and so we did. last night we were back, again a music friday. we got there on the early side for dinner so there was plenty of seating, and the musician was just setting up. my daughter ate the spanish omelet crepe and my other daughter had the veggie burrito crepe. i ate a veggie santa fe and my husband had the cheeseburger crepe. not a one of us could even consider dessert (a shame, i know) after finishing our huge crepes. we were prepared for a longer wait but the food came out pretty fast. i don't mind a wait for freshly prepared food. we all thought our own choice was the best, although i'm going to go on record & say: the veggie santa fe wins, hands down. also,rachel'shas their own blend of lonely monk coffee that is out of this world. i went home with a bag of coffee and if i could have put 20 crepes in my bag, i would have done that too. a lancaster staple - do not miss this place!

fresh and unique!.rachel'soffers a unique menu not often found in this area. they create crepes that are stuffed full of delicious ingredients. the servings are massive! they offer both savory and sweet crepes; both are out of this world. the fruit is always in season so you know it's fresh!

don't be in a rush. went torachel'sfor the first time on an early sunday afternoon which probably wasn't the best time since the place was packed! i liked the artistic/hipster flare but the service was very slow and it took forever to get your food. the crepes themselves were tasty and the drinks were good but i don't think they were worth the price or the wait. if you have a good amount of time to waste or just want a place to relax and talk thanrachel'sis the place to be. if you are looking for a quick meal with more food for the buck, go elsewhere. i would go back again.

breakfast.rachel'scafe & creperie is a delightful change from the ordinary. the menu is limited primarily to crepes and drinks but they still manage to make a meal for every taste. the outdoor dining is great too on a nice day.

the prices while slightly higher than diner food are certainly justified by the high quality of the ingredients.
