très bon. several friends had recommended rachel's so i made a quick stop this afternoon for a dessert and a coffee. theplacewas packed (always a good sign), but i was able to get a table. i ordered the tavern on the green crepe (which was the only crepe to be listed as 'dine in only' -- not sure why), which consisted of fresh berries, sour cream, and brown sugar. it was absolutely delicious, and on par with crepes i ate in france. the coffee i ordered was also of good quality and went great with my dessert. i would be curious to try some of their dinner crepes, which the people at the table next to me seemed to be enjoying. looking forward to my next visit.

great food but terrible for parties larger then 4. have been two saturdays in a row with a party of 5 and then of 6. first time i we waited for 55 minutes starting at 10am on saturday. second time we waiting over 1 hour and 15 minutes for a party of 6...we did arrive at 9am on saturday. food is great and setting is good but theplaceis defiantly designed for hippster couples with no kids. i think that they only have 2 or 3 tables that can seat 4 people and you have to wait forever for one of those rare pieces of real estate to open up next to an also open "two topper." again great food for a date with one other person.

i dreamt of these crepes.. we happened on rachel's last year, in town on a music friday and theplacewe were planning to go to was rained out. we headed up the road to an indoor spot with food. what a fantastic surprise! delicious, fresh food, made to order and really very large portions. good live music too! for a year i said "next time we're in lancaster, we're eating at rachel's again" and so we did. last night we were back, again a music friday. we got there on the early side for dinner so there was plenty of seating, and the musician was just setting up. my daughter ate the spanish omelet crepe and my other daughter had the veggie burrito crepe. i ate a veggie santa fe and my husband had the cheeseburger crepe. not a one of us could even consider dessert (a shame, i know) after finishing our huge crepes. we were prepared for a longer wait but the food came out pretty fast. i don't mind a wait for freshly prepared food. we all thought our own choice was the best, although i'm going to go on record & say: the veggie santa fe wins, hands down. also, rachel's has their own blend of lonely monk coffee that is out of this world. i went home with a bag of coffee and if i could have put 20 crepes in my bag, i would have done that too. a lancaster staple - do not miss this place!

cette nourriture est délicieux (the food is delicious). i love crepes and was looking forward to our visit to lancaster today so we could eat at rachel’s again. it was so good. i had the smoked salmon crepe and it was simply delicious. the salmon can be a bit sparse in other french restaurants but what i had at rachel’s was properly done with a wonderful balance of ingredients. my wife loved her ham and brie. i didn’t even get a taste. we finished the meal with a caramel apple crepe. the apples were thinly sliced and crunchy (not pre-cooked), the crepe had a less doughy consistency than the salmon crepe. it was really good too.

theplacewas busy and we had about a 15 minute wait to be seated on a saturday around lunchtime. service was fine, not amazing but no real flaws. i was glad we made the trip.

don't be in a rush. went to rachel's for the first time on an early sunday afternoon which probably wasn't the best time since theplacewas packed! i liked the artistic/hipster flare but the service was very slow and it took forever to get your food. the crepes themselves were tasty and the drinks were good but i don't think they were worth the price or the wait. if you have a good amount of time to waste or just want aplaceto relax and talk than rachel's is theplaceto be. if you are looking for a quick meal with more food for the buck, go elsewhere. i would go back again.

lovely. thisplaceis truly a must try of lancaster city! they have tons of coffees, hot and iced, teas and smoothies. you can get a breakfast crepe anytime too. even during a busy lunch i got stellar service. my only criticism is that most of the crepes are more like popular sandwiches made with crepes rather than traditional crepes made with fruits jams and cremes, which you can find a few on the dessert menu.
