rachel's cafe & creperie

très bon. several friends had recommended rachel's so i made a quick stop this afternoon for a dessert and a coffee. the place was packed (always a good sign), but i was able to get a table. i ordered the tavern on the greencrepe(which was the onlycrepeto be listed as 'dine in only' -- not sure why), which consisted of fresh berries, sour cream, and brown sugar. it was absolutely delicious, and on par with crepes i ate in france. the coffee i ordered was also of good quality and went great with my dessert. i would be curious to try some of their dinner crepes, which the people at the table next to me seemed to be enjoying. looking forward to my next visit.

the friendliness of the staff could use an improvement here, but the veggie burritocrepewith added chicken is really good. great outdoor seating on a deck.

i've visited rachel's last week and was very pleased with the service. they had a considerable number of customers coming in going,and handled them efficiently and quickly. i had one of the breakfast crapes, and it was excellent. it was thicker and the wimpy crêpes i had in richmond. i fully intended to have a buttered crêpe for dessert but after the breakfastcrepei didn't have room. i will definitely be visiting with these folks early and often.

i dreamt of these crepes.. we happened on rachel's last year, in town on a music friday and the place we were planning to go to was rained out. we headed up the road to an indoor spot with food. what a fantastic surprise! delicious, fresh food, made to order and really very large portions. good live music too! for a year i said "next time we're in lancaster, we're eating at rachel's again" and so we did. last night we were back, again a music friday. we got there on the early side for dinner so there was plenty of seating, and the musician was just setting up. my daughter ate the spanish omeletcrepeand my other daughter had the veggie burrito crepe. i ate a veggie santa fe and my husband had the cheeseburger crepe. not a one of us could even consider dessert (a shame, i know) after finishing our huge crepes. we were prepared for a longer wait but the food came out pretty fast. i don't mind a wait for freshly prepared food. we all thought our own choice was the best, although i'm going to go on record & say: the veggie santa fe wins, hands down. also, rachel's has their own blend of lonely monk coffee that is out of this world. i went home with a bag of coffee and if i could have put 20 crepes in my bag, i would have done that too. a lancaster staple - do not miss this place!

cette nourriture est délicieux (the food is delicious). i love crepes and was looking forward to our visit to lancaster today so we could eat at rachel’s again. it was so good. i had the smoked salmoncrepeand it was simply delicious. the salmon can be a bit sparse in other french restaurants but what i had at rachel’s was properly done with a wonderful balance of ingredients. my wife loved her ham and brie. i didn’t even get a taste. we finished the meal with a caramel apple crepe. the apples were thinly sliced and crunchy (not pre-cooked), thecrepehad a less doughy consistency than the salmon crepe. it was really good too.

the place was busy and we had about a 15 minute wait to be seated on a saturday around lunchtime. service was fine, not amazing but no real flaws. i was glad we made the trip.

went for the first time on sunday and thought the food was very good. the turkey cordon bleu was very good. we also had the turkey clubcrepeand the thai chicken crepe. all were very good. the menu is limited and the size of the restaurant is small, but the food makes up for it. i would recommend it for breakfast or brunch.

lovely. this place is truly a must try of lancaster city! they have tons of coffees, hot and iced, teas and smoothies. you can get a breakfastcrepeanytime too. even during a busy lunch i got stellar service. my only criticism is that most of the crepes are more like popular sandwiches made with crepes rather than traditional crepes made with fruits jams and cremes, which you can find a few on the dessert menu.

i love this place, i always get the fresh fruit & whipped creamcrepeeverytime i go, they do have a very interesting menu tho, many options. everythings really good there but it's a lil smal. inside

yummy. i love this little place. i always get the salmoncrepewith cream cheese and capers. (not official name) but it's delicious. i've gotton a mexican ishcrepeand it was mediocre. anyway, the salmon one is great and i'm not a big fish person. very simple but i can't order just one.
they're very strict about making it fresh since its best that way. i love that.
the girl knows what she's doing. i just wish i could get there before it closes, but i'm a night person.

delightful and fun. i have to admit i was hesitant about thecrepeonly menu. anyone who has the same hesitations i will tell you now that the food is excellent, fresh, flavorful and a general delight. the atmosphere, employees and patrons were very happy and upbeat which made for an overall fun experience.
