pomeroy's old brewery inn & victoria's kitchen

so good, we ate here two nights in a row on our trip to christchurch! the first night we stumbled across thisplaceas it was literally at the end of the street we were staying on. the second night we brought our extended family back and it was just as good! we had the mussels, crackling and chicken wings the first night between two of us and the kids had the kids cheeseburger and fries. everyone was great but the mussels were out of this world, what a sauce!!! honesty best mussels ever. the second night i had to get them again but husband tried the seafood chowder. he’s had a lot of these in his life but said this was hands down the best he’s ever had. my family enjoyed their meals too, the pulled pork sandwich was huge and very tasty. i like that it’s very family friendly pub, colouring books and pens for the little ones. the wait staff are amazing, so friendly and onto it. i wish we had somewhere like this in auckland. go here, you won’t regret, 10/10!

have been to this pub on many occasions,theplacehas a good vibe.
the food has been consistently good and the staff very professional. a good range of drinks can be had and the toilets etc are all very clean.

food is not bad, service is good. would comeback again. this pub reminds me of a pub in england. price is average, for those that like english pub themes then thisplaceis for you.

if you're a beer or cider lover then you're going to really enjoy pomeroy's. they have an amazing selection of drinks on tap and they present them well making it simple to work out what styles you'll like and therefore what you should order next. they do also have a good wine list for those not partial to what's on offer via the taps! we also had the pom platter which was a surprisingly filling selection of meats, cheeses, calamari and chicken wings amongst other things. great to nibble on slowly whilst working your way through said taps!

theplaceitself had plenty of seating which is very cosily furnished as an old english pub. the staff are awesome, super friendly and helpful when selecting the next amazing beer. we had a great evening/night here and were very happy we made the walk up to pomeroy's......although we did need to taxi it back to the hotel!

i had fish of the day and that was soooooo good. greatplaceto have dinner at. staff was awesome. i'd definitely recommend this place. i would go here again if i'm down in chch.

when looking for a good old pub feed and passing head right in. the food was what you would expect for a pub but still quite flavorsome and at a good price. don't worry about small portions their huge and fill you right up. but still not aplaceyou'd go half way across town for unless you want the added bonus of excellent craft beers.

good classic food.

one of my favorite watering holes and a greatplaceto meet friends. steve is an excellent host, the beers they serve are always delicious and the bar snacks are delicious - i recommend the cheese fondue. the restaurant is just what you want in a pub and the locals are friendly.

great beer selection, tasty pub food, and fun patrons. what isn't to like about this place? the jukebox could do with some better local selections (this is chch -- no tall dwarfs, really?), but otherwise thisplaceis great!
