i went to winter high tea at petal met sugar. the food look verygoodespecially cakes. unfortunately, the taste of cakes wasn’t good. however, goodthing about here are savoury menu and drink that i order. it was very delicious.
overall, i wouldn’t come back to have high tea here because the taste is average and overprice. 45$ per person. not included drink.

this place is always coming up with something new which is great!
i know there may be certain things on the menu that people like to order as creatures of comfort but it's also nice to be able to order something different.
everything here is super pretty and their desserts have pairing twists that you've never even thought to put together but just go so well.
the service is also reallygoodand the staff members are super friendly.
they have a limited amount of outdoor seating so make sure you book in advance.
it's definitely one to visit!

petal met sugar is a small cafe that combines sweets and flowers. the cafe displays too pretty to eat desserts as you walked in, then a small display of beautiful flowers on their retail space and a very visible adjoining kitchen where you can see the pastry chef creating those edible artworks you just saw on display.

the interior is clean with white tile floorings and white plywood furnishings as if to humbly let the sweets and the flowers take centre stage.

the menu comprises of floral influenced sweets and drinks. i opted for the very instagrammable looking terrarium, a white chocolate globe filled with passion fruit and finger lime pannacotta, brown butter soil and edible flowers. it's an incredibly delicate dessert that taste asgoodas it looks. i enjoyed it with a pot of le vie en rose tea which perfectly complements the dessert.

the summer rose pav, with earl grey tea meringue, rose chantily cream, fresh strawberries, freeze dried raspberries, candied orange and lemon balm was vibrant and light. their brownie was rich with generous amount of walnuts in the brownie. i washed all these down with watermelon and earl grey ice tea which was refreshing and as elegant as their cakes.

i genuinely enjoyed the whole experience. the space is limited but the wait for the table is worth it. warning: you will want to eat every cake in here, they're that pretty!

had the spring high tea for two $40pp. everything tastedgoodexcept they were tiny. i mean tiny. i was thinking if the scone was full size it may have been okay however, everything was about size of a 20c-50c coin. in saying that everything tasted nice. i would not recommend the high tea but buying few of the cakes out on display individually which would cost less and may leave you feeling more satisfied. just not worth $80.

a friend had mentioned this place and had showed me pictures and i was was just so so excited to go there since everything looked great, delicious and unique on instagram.

ambiance: the place is small but cozy, i enjoyed sitting outside, but didnt look anything like their pictures. i have to compliment their photographer.

service: they were politely rude, lol, i felt like they were thinking they were giving us the food for free. and seemed to be making a huge effort to take our order.

food: croissant and pain au chocolat were not bad, notgoodeither, just normal, they served it cold, didnt evena ask if e wanted them warmed up. the mantcha pastry was very plain and expensive for what it was, it just looked pretty, i couldnt taste the matcha, just the slightly burnt pastry.

overall: we took a long long walk to go there because we were very excited but i was very dissapointed, wouldnt go back and wouldnt recommend to go there either, there are many many better palces closer, cheaper, with better attention and ambiance.

two of a girl's favourite things: deserts and flowers 🍰🌷

drinks were ordered first which were complimentary to the high tea and we could choose any drinks we wanted. when i saw ‘earl grey hot chocolate’ on the drinks menu, i knew i had to get it. i was pleasantly surprised as the hot chocolate had the perfect blend of earl grey and the flavour was delicate; not overpowering.

the chai latte unfortunately was quite strong for me and was rather liquidy while the peach oolong tea had a soft note about it, with the scent of the peach slightly coming through. my friend and i also ordered the croissants separately as the high tea only included desserts; nothing savoury like the traditional high tea.

we started with the ‘madeleines’ and it was like eating a little muffin but better. next, were the ‘scones’; they were lovely while the jam and cream complimented them lightly yet nicely. forget the chai latte, get your chai fix through eating the ‘carrot and chai’ cake which was delicious and not dense at all.

now for the ‘cronuts’, 3 out of 5 of ours were actually doughy and mine being one of them. i knew the texture was a bit odd but i couldn’t work it out fast enough until my friend made the comment that they were still raw. this goes to show howgoodthe cronuts were, the flavours were definitely there but it was a shame we could not continue eating it. the staff apologised sincerely and offered us each a matcha macaron and a lavender one.

we saved one of the best till last, the blueberry tart was composed of blueberries but with a mild lavender flavour surrounding it.

i honestly hope pms continues their high tea seasonally because it was thatgoodand dare i say, one of the best high tea’s i’ve ever had? regardless, the ‘earl grey hot chocolate’ and ‘ham & gruyere croissant’ were scrumptious enough that i would be back to this cafe in a heartbeat.

had a lovely high tea experience with mygoodfriend to celebrate my birthday early! we tried out the new winter high tea menu which consisted of 5 mini dessert sweets and it was accompanied with your choice of tea/coffee. we were told to eat the sweets according to the order in the menu and they tasted really nice. it wasn't too heavy, it was just right! the presentation was very cute and interesting. it's agoodplace to go to if you wanna go out on a date or catch up with friends. would recommend coming here!

i went on a cold, rainy and windy day so i really wanted to have some yummy dessert to cheer me up. when i arrived, i saw there were only 4 tables outside and that was it. basically no indoor seating. i'm not entirely sure if it's always like this but in some instagram photos, i swear there is indoor seating. so we sat outside in awful weather.

service was pretty bad to be honest. they really didn't look like they wanted to be there and they served us in a cold manner.

i ordered 3 desserts including the terrarium, oolong peach and the passionfruit yuzu. passionfruit yuzu was definitely the tastiest being sweet but tart at the same time and the citrus flavours were really refreshing.
i also ordered the watermelon tea which wasgoodbut you don't really get your money's worth because the cups are small and it gets diluted with a huge cube of ice. my friend's matcha iced tea was extremely watered down and she commented on the lack of matcha taste, looked like slightly green milk.
i'd go again to try out the high tea menu but other than that, won't be returning.

there's one week remaining before the stunning flower bomb dessert will no longer be available. orange blossom and mascarpone mousse, brown butter popping crumble and passionfruit jelly is enclosed within a fine, white chocolate dome, that is smashed to reveal a kaleidoscope of edible flowers.

the choice of cakes can be overwhelming and we managed to takeaway and sample a few of them before they were snapped up by the eager diners here. the cakes were beautifully presented and tasted as wonderful as they looked.

service is friendly and guy did agoodjob juggling between making the drinks, playing the cakes and taking order and payments for takeaway as well. he was affable and offered advice on what cakes to try.

been meaning to check this place out after seeing so many pretty ig photos! so i made a reservation for a sunday and agoodthing i did cause it did get a bit busy!

love the use of marble and hexagon tiles, such a fresh and inviting look! it's just a lot smaller than expected and that applies to everything i'm talking about. from the individual sweets and cutlery to their chairs and tables.

we got the winter high tea ($27.50 pp) and my goodness was it beautiful! the taste however, was a bit disappointing and a bit expensive for such a small amount of treats given. however i did quite enjoy the raspberry tartlette.

nevertheless can definitely see the hype as it's super ig worthy and the flowers are so pretty! service is also friendly and attentive.

everyone who come to this place are mostly judge by theirs look because it's very unique and beautiful!! just perfect for photos to be taken out of it but to be honest (tbh) this place isn't thatgoodto be one of the popular place but it still worth to visit. i can't really blame them for expecting too much from this place but just not my taste. other foodies might make it soundsgoodbut most of it wasn't for me. services was really amazing. if you consider this is your next destination do some research on foodies blog or you can visit my ig account i give the rates on the places i visited
