pepe delgados

came here for lunch during a visit to ou. the food came out really fast, and it was really good. i got the steak fajitas and really enjoyed it.

this is a great place on campus corner in norman. the food is fresh and the portions are ample. the food is not tex-mex (so if you are a fan, you may be disappointed) and they use cilantro in their dishes a little more than most places.

i ordered the loco burrito with pork. it was about the size of a small football. it was stuffed with pork, rice, beans and cilantro. my wife ordered tacos, one pork and one beef. we also had the chips and salsa. chips were fresh and crispy and you get a sample of four different types of salsa.

you may pay a little more than a fast food mexican restaurant, but you will get your moneys worth.

the last time i had been to pepe delgados they were still in their old location. i have been wanting to go there since i have moved back to oklahoma and tonight was the night. when we walked in the door we noticed how much larger they were and that now they have a full bar. before they just sold a few beers. the interior was beautiful and had the same ambiance as a nice full service restaurant like a bj’s. i paused at the door for a second thinking that a hostess was going to come up soon to seat us and give us menus. i then looked in the back and noticed the menu board in the back with a sign showing where to place the order. they still are using the fast casual concept. art at pepe delgados bar at pepe delgados we looked over the menu and i was glad that the menu didn’t change much. the items i remember from before were still there and they added a few more items as well. their kitchen looked to be a lot bigger than i remember

still yummy!. i love love love that vegatarian burrito, and i am a total carnivore but meat messes it up! the flavor combination is so good. also the nachos are great! mmmmmmm

so good. i had the chicken tacos and loved every bite. the spicy cole slaw is craveable. my sister had the sopas - amazing. tasty and what i'll order next time. i'll go back again and again.

this is one of the few mexican restaurants that has mole sauce items on the menu.  i went here on a monday for lunch with a group of 13 people.  we were able to order immediately, and our servers took good care of us. 

when i saw mole sauce included in the description of the oaxacan enchiladas, i had to get it.  i think mole sauce pairs best with chicken, so that's what i got.  it was delicious.  their rice is standard spanish rice, and their black beans could have used more salt.  the little plastic cup of salsa was more on the liquid-y than chunky (which i don't like), and it was spicy (which i like).  finally, there was a house-fried corn tortilla half stuck in my black beans as a garnish.  it was a fun way to eat up the black beans. 

i don't get to norman often, but now i know i can depend on this pepe delgado's for reasonable prices, delicious food, and fast service.

excellent food! authentic and fresh tastes! simple menu and prompt service. best salsa verde i've ever had. owner was friendly and added a personal touch.

i moved to norman in 1991 from california and opened the original pepes on campus corner. emilio the owner now, worked for me. he is from the state of oaxaca, mexico where they have some of the best food in mexico..we brought this food to norman because there was nothing else like it at the time. plus i'm a huge sooner fan! if the food resembles tex mex it's because the customers want it..when we first opened we didn't have sour cream..because that's not mexican food but customers pitched a fit about it so we added it. amelo explained to me some of his recipes are very old. a slave ship crashed off the coast of oaxaca and the surviving slaves stayed there and blended there style of cooking with the natives of mexico. to make my point this is not tex mex food.

the quesadilla is delicious, easily the best i have had in the okc area. the "salsas" are okay, but there are a lot of options to choose from. they have lunch portions for cheaper. they serve pepsi products. they do not condone pokemon hunting in this establishment.

i'd say that people that are disappointed in this place most likely didn't read the menu. no, it is not tex-mex. fuzzy's is right up the street if that's what you want. chips and salsa are separate, that's just the way it is. but they're only $2.75 and you get an assortment of salsas, so... also, i haven't had a bad meal here. there is sometimes a language barrier but that's the way it is. if you want tex-mex, stay out.

the best mexican food, in oklahoma. a very special place. jeff, the bartender, makes an amazing fresh lime margarita. it's not tex-mex. it is very fresh, very yummy, very amazing.

not impressed at all. most mexican restaurants provide chips and salsa with your meal. not here. you have to pay for them separately. i ordered beef tacos. they came not as ground beef, but fajita meat. no lettuce, cheese or tomatoes. didn't eat much of it. came home and ate a sandwich.

food is ok, not stupendous but ok. the sunday brunch is ok also. not an extremely friendly place but ok. this is a normal everyday restaurant with standard food but is a good change to have

will return!. has great fresh food with fresh ingredients. authentic taste. great staff! our family had a wonderful experience and will return!

true mexican, not tex-mex. i'm not a fan of true mexican. tomatilla salsa and avocado sauce (tomatilla salsa with avocado blended in) along with sweet tomato sauce on top of enchiladas was not appetizing.
