great pub food and reasonably priced. they don't have a kids menu but they have plenty of foods that kids like. we found this place when looking for a place to have lunch after visiting the archives. we had burgers and they were delicious! the next night after being turned away from two other restaurants for not having reservations we found ourselves in this neighborhood again and decided to give it a try for dinner. this time we ordered pizza andbeerand again it was great. i definitely give it two thumbs up.

best place to watch college football. they have so many huge plasma tv's here, i swear i could spend every saturday of football season, just watching game, after game, after game. the food's pretty good, and thebeerprices are great, especially considering the prime location.

i only wish my alumni group would start coming here, like uga and a bunch of others do... enough of this virginia nonsense!

cozy little gem. just found this little gem down on 7th and penn nw on my way to a caps game. tired of "chinatown" madness before and after every trip to the verizon. found a seat at the bar no problem (it was a tuesday afterall) had the best burger ive ever tasted and a pitcher ofbeerfor twenty bucks or so. watched some highlights on one of many 50" tv's (there's more tvs than tables) while offering some playoff opinions of my defensively challenged team to the rabid hockey fan who was my bartender. unfortunately he was a redwings fan. if i could sum up this bar in one word: genuine. you don't have to be trendy when you're the real deal. i only wonder if i can add on a bar stool to my season.

cool sports bar. a much needed sports bar in the penn quarter neighborhood. great new led tv's to watch from the inside and outside for your viewing pleasure. pqst attracts a diverse crowd with friendly staff so it makes for a fun experience while watching a game or just hanging out with your friends.

food there is affordable and good. they've got awesome signature potato chips and homemade fried mac & cheese with a respectablebeerselection at reasonable prices. i am a big fan of the leinenkugel classic amber on draft!!!

parking is not that bad as it gets later in the day, just make sure to pay the meters until 9:30pm.

overall, a great place to hang out with friends and have a cold one.

sports fans' dream bar. what's not to love? pq has great pub food, decent prices onbeer(it's still dc, after all) tons of tvs and all the college packages. plus they just put tvs on the patio, so now you can even watch games outside!

don't let its proximity to the mall fool you - this place is no tourist trap, it's a sports bar.

on the menu, i recommend you check out the chicken wings with jerk seasoning instead of buffalo sauce - you'll never look back!

non-discriminating sports bar. i'm from cincinnati, and i always stop by penn quarter's when i'm visiting dc. both times i've been there has been a party for some sporting team (xavier basketball and boston hockey). all sports are always on and the rivalry between fans is friendly. the outdoor area is great on a nice day.

the food is typical pub food and they carry a nice selection ofbeer- including yeungling lager.

i look foward to going back, hopefully before a big sporting event.

not even worth one star. i have never had a more horrible experience then the one i had here! the service was awful and the food was gross!

4:20 - sat down (we were a table of four)
4:25 - gave our drink order (a pitcher of beer)
4:35 - gave our food order (two baked potatoes, two sandwiches, two orders of wings)
4:45 - finally got our pitcher of beer
5:20 - got one order of wings (my brothers and his girlfriend) and we ordered another pitcher of beer
5:30 - got the other order of wings (finally my boyfriend and i get some food!) and the two sandwiches. by the way, the man who brought our food also washed the dishes and took out the trash!
5:37 - our "loaded" baked potatoes arrived (not loaded!) not to mention we had no forks!
5:45 - our waitress came with forks... by then our potatoes were cold.
5:50 - our pitcher ofbeercame
5:51 - my brother went in to talk to the manager. he was told he would be right out…
6:00 - no manager! so my boyfriend went in to talk to the manager.
6:10 - the girls went in to talk to the manager! the manager was the rudest person! when we explained that our food was cold and took over an hour to get it he asked "well, did you eat it?" i told him if he came out 20 minutes ago when we asked for him he would know that i had not. he explained that that was just how it is here. can you believe that? i told him we weren't paying for bad food. we told him we would only pay for thebeerand wings (since honestly they weren't that bad) and by the way thebeerand wings cost us $40 a couple!
6:15 - as we sat finishing ourbeer(since it was so expensive) our waitress lit up her black and mild and began to talk trash about us to another table. (the table to our left sent back their cold food and left). thank god we were able to turn away a potential five tables while we sat there. trust me we saved you guys from overpriced, gross food brought to you by trashy, slow, dirty service!
