of course we all know that this restaurant was featured on "triple d" with ol guy fieri. not sure why he went there because more than grinding your own hamburger meat should be required to be on there.

long story short, they have decentfoodhere, but this place is too expensive and grossly overrated. also, there was "new country" blaring from the speakers and the wait for ourfoodwas incredibly long. our waitress was not attentive despite the restaurant not being terribly crowded.

for $23, including tip, i had a burger, fries, sweet tea, and half an order of fried pickles.

avoid this place and go somewhere else

perfect relaxed atmosphere. convenient location and porch is wonderful nearly all year.foodand beer selection is very good. we love the mahi tacos but the burgers are awesome too...and the sweet potato fries.

just left, thefoodwas good and there was more than enough. our waitress took good care of us. i do think they could replace the hostes with one that has a personality. i would give it 5 stars.

not what i expected. my wife and i went to pawley's this past weekend. when we got there, around 7:00, we expected to have to wait because it was beautiful outside and it was graduation weekend for the local university. we didn't mind the wait though because pawley's has a great outside bar on the deck.

upon entering the restaurant, and having to wait a good 5 minutes for the hostess to greet us, the hostess was extremely rude. she acted like she could care less about the customers coming through the door. once we were greeted we took our pager and went to the bar. after about 30 minutes we noticed that there were multiple clean tables outside and a few inside that noone was seated at. i went back to the hostess to check on how much longer we had and once again she was nowhere to be found.

finally, a server saw me waiting and came to help. she was extremely friendly even though i, along with others standing at the front, were clearly irritated that noone was sitting at the many open tables. she ended up sitting most of the tables herself, still with no help from the hostess, and made sure that my wife and i were seated in a timely manner as well. the restaurant was really busy as i said before but the girl at the front was inattentive, extremely rude, and could not do her job. i made sure to mention it to my server once i was seated. she made sure that we had an enjoyable experience and apologized for the hostess. we were very happy with our waitress and thefoodbut found it difficult to get over how we were treated to begin with.

we will not be back to pawley's for a while. and when we do go back we hope to find someone that is competent enough to seat empty tables with a smile.

bestfoodever!!. i have been to many restaurants across the us and they have included a variety that differed from the traditional ones. but without a doubt, these pawley's front porch burgers are the best i have ever had in my life. i find myself wanting to eat there every single day...... for those of you that haven't tried them yet, you're in for a real treat!!

one of the best burger places in cola. sometimes the service is shotty and the wait is long (avoid usc semester) but thefoodmakes up for it. fried pickles are a must. definitely a place to visit when visiting usc or having friends from out of town.

had lunch...goodfoodand great beer selection of locally brewed beers. also had the fried pickles and there was plenty to go around. enjoyed our visit and would definitely go again.

from the service to thefoodeverything was very quick. actually i was surprised thefoodarrived so quickly after we ordered. quick is one thing and thankfully thefoodwas also very tasty. the salads were very large, burger was almost too big to eat and my shrimp tacos were quite good. beer selection was also varied with good choices no matter what type of beer you like.

as a bonus this place is so dog friendly they bring out a bowl of water for your dog.

dined at the 5 points location. foodwas average at best.  service was nearly absent.  burgers sounded great in the menu, but were disappointing on the plate.  onion rings were very salty.  would not eat there in the future.

almost ruined stay in columbia. my wife and i were in town briefly to visit congaree np and decided to try pawleys for dinner on our last night. the wait was interminably long for the quality offoodthat we received. my wife ordered a soda and i a beer, and then the server disappeared. about twenty minutes later, as i was about to have us get up and leave, she returned stating that the particular beer that i ordered was out and that they had been looking for a new keg -- fine, but let the patron know sooner instead of keeping them waiting. i ordered a different beer, an appetizer of fried pickles, and we each ordered a burger -- my wife's well-done and mine medium. the pickles were unremarkable and came out two minutes before our burgers. really? it's supposed to be an appetizer, not a side order. my wife's burger was cooked as ordered and with her fries, her meal was, by all accounts, decent. my burger was not medium, but medium rare to rare and one bite, possibly raw. my fries were so ridiculously over-seasoned that they were inedible -- and i pride myself in having an iron stomach. the server was nowhere to be found so i could not complain and have the plate taken back -- so i plodded through the burger, leaving the fires untouched -- nor could i ask where my beer was. literally down to my final bite of burger, she finally returned with my beer. i refused it, as we were done and i was not going to spend any extra time in that place. the only good thing that the server was able to do all night was that she got the manager to waive the cost of the fried pickles to make up for me not getting a beer to drink with my meal. i voiced my concerns about the poor quality of my dinner and how one bite of burger bordered on raw and was met with indifference. we left and, if ever back in the area, will never return. stay away!!

great food, terrible service. thefoodwas delicious! we had the fried green tomato app and i had the palmetto burger. i would definitely eat there again. unfortunately, our server was terrible, and i don't ever complain about service. i myself worked in the service industry for many years. she rolled her eyes at me at least twice when i asked her for something and ignored us basically the entire time. the only time she was actually nice, was when she brought us the check. it is the first time that i have not tipped a server 20% off the check. yes, it is important that thefoodtaste great, but great customer service should also be a priority. all in all 4 out 5 stars for me!

nothing special. our family tried this place today for the first and last time. the service was fast at first and then we seemed to be forgotten about after ourfoodcame. the burgers we had were nothing special. no one ate more than half the burgers. the kids didn't even eat their chicken strips. i make a better burger at home. it's way over priced for the quality.

such amaze fish tacos. decided to diverge from the usual burgers and had the mahi-mahi fish tacos. four and a half stars. i'd give them five stars if they started using a soft-fried corn tortilla instead of uncooked flour tortillas. otherwise excellent.

good food, great place to hang with friends. casually grubby and fun. their wadlamaw burger is awesome. i always enjoy the not-often-enough trips to pawley's front porch.
