overrated. the burgers are not nearly as good as they were when they first opened. i don't know what happened but the beef is not good. better alternatives are: henry's, rockaway (still the best in columbia), burger tavern, backyard cafe.

stale bread, cold fries, good service. not anything near what you saw on tv. piss poor!

ehh. been here twice. we went for the burgers which guy fieri suggested on his show. i've been to two places guy fieri "suggests" and neither was anything special.

my first trip i got a basic burger since their claim to fame is the ground sirloin whatever they make the burgers out of. i added applewood bacon and gruyere cheese. it was a big burger but nothing awesome about it. it was decent.

the fried oysters were awesome the first time i went. the second time they must have had a different cook.

second trip we tried the fried green tomato tower and i do not suggest it. the tomato was hard and instead of fried and green tomato going together the two components fell apart.

good service decent food, but there are way better options to try.

of course we all know that this restaurant was featured on "triple d" with ol guy fieri. not sure why he went there because more than grinding your own hamburger meat should be required to be on there.

long story short, they have decent food here, but this place is too expensive and grossly overrated. also, there was "new country" blaring from the speakers and the wait for our food was incredibly long. our waitress was not attentive despite the restaurant not being terribly crowded.

for $23, including tip, i had a burger, fries, sweet tea, and half an order of fried pickles.

avoid this place and go somewhere else

perfect relaxed atmosphere. convenient location and porch is wonderful nearly all year. food and beer selection is very good. we love the mahi tacos but the burgers are awesome too...and the sweet potato fries.

just left, the food was good and there was more than enough. our waitress took good care of us. i do think they could replace the hostes with one that has a personality. i would give it 5 stars.

not what i expected. my wife and i went to pawley's this past weekend. when we got there, around 7:00, we expected to have to wait because it was beautiful outside and it was graduation weekend for the local university. we didn't mind the wait though because pawley's has a great outside bar on the deck.

upon entering the restaurant, and having to wait a good 5 minutes for the hostess to greet us, the hostess was extremely rude. she acted like she could care less about the customers coming through the door. once we were greeted we took our pager and went to the bar. after about 30 minutes we noticed that there were multiple clean tables outside and a few inside that noone was seated at. i went back to the hostess to check on how much longer we had and once again she was nowhere to be found.

finally, a server saw me waiting and came to help. she was extremely friendly even though i, along with others standing at the front, were clearly irritated that noone was sitting at the many open tables. she ended up sitting most of the tables herself, still with no help from the hostess, and made sure that my wife and i were seated in a timely manner as well. the restaurant was really busy as i said before but the girl at the front was inattentive, extremely rude, and could not do her job. i made sure to mention it to my server once i was seated. she made sure that we had an enjoyable experience and apologized for the hostess. we were very happy with our waitress and the food but found it difficult to get over how we were treated to begin with.

we will not be back to pawley's for a while. and when we do go back we hope to find someone that is competent enough to seat empty tables with a smile.

best food ever!!. i have been to many restaurants across the us and they have included a variety that differed from the traditional ones. but without a doubt, these pawley's front porch burgers are the best i have ever had in my life. i find myself wanting to eat there every single day...... for those of you that haven't tried them yet, you're in for a real treat!!

awesome just about sums it up incredible food wonderful service i will most definitely be coming back its only a hour and half drive but worth it

not too impressed. went there for lunch with my coworkers. they all ordered the burgers. i ordered fish tacos. the first taco was delicious. fish was fresh and nice slaw. the second one was horrible. the fish was so rank i had to spit it out. i sent it back and the manager did take it off my bill. i tasted my friend's burger. nothing really special. for a better quality of beef try burger tavern 77 up on devine street. plus it's cleaner. pawley's used to be eclectic but it has deteriorated into a cluttered and dirty feel.

when we found out we were going to columbia i was tasked with finding a place to eat. if anyone is ever tasked with this you know how difficult it is.

i saw this place on triple d and wanted to give it a shot. not only was the the burger amazing quality and delicious there was also a great atmosphere. the beer selection was good and there were plenty of unique burger combos. my only negative comment is that the sweet potato fries come with sugar and cinnamon on them. just not my style.

fun, relaxed atmosphere with a family friendly menu that puts a south carolina twist on its food. we tried several burgers, and they were all good. the porch is a great place to have a burger and a cold one. enjoy!

ordered a burger medium-rare and got it well done. fries over cooked and over seasoned to the point that i did not want to eat them.

burger was still good, but overall i feel like i overpaid for something subpar and felt rushed by the server. probably won’t be back.
