everyone has their favorite restaurants in austin, butparksideconsistently ranks at the top for many locals. 6th street is usually not equated with a romantic date, butparksidehas some of the

parkside brings their "a" game to 6th street. party of one promptly seated by a very nice hostess. server by the name of trip is one of the most pleasant i can remember. so many choices on the menu so i described what i was looking for and trip nailed it. i spacifically asked for small raw oysters. he suggested the caraquets. they were indeed small but had an incredible flavor. the calamari was also very good. ask for trip by name!

moving on to drinks. my first inclination that the bloody mary i ordered was going to be exceptional was the care taken in the garnishment. this is not your typical mix. just the right amount of spice. this incredible drink was crafted by kara. i'm from out of town and the only reason i know her name is i got up and asked her. if there are bloody mary's in heaven i'm pretty sure she will be making them.parksidegets my best recommendation.

i don't consider myself a foodie, but since this is austin (and 6th street) i had to try something a little eclectic, and i was more than satisfied--in fact i loved it. atparksideyou can get an ornately decorated plate without having to ask your waitress what half of the words on the menu mean, something you can't find in a lot of places. the angus steak with corn risotto was excellent and really what you expect to get when you order angus steak with corn risotto, but of course you have the option of eating it with a well-fitting lime pesto if you want to feel like a real gastronome. the doughnuts with berry sorbet was to die for, it will definitely go down as one of my favorite desserts. if you want an honest austin dining experience, go to parkside.

i must have been drunk the first time i went toparkside, because i don't remember any details about the eating part of the evening, but i know i had a great time with my three awesome kids and their various significant others. it wasn't until i was fini

my favorite- late night dining, wonderful food!. i love parkside! i have never had to wait for a seat and the service is always been prompt and polite.parksidehas the best selection of raw oysters i have yet to see elsewhere iin austin, and the waitstaff can recommend to your tastes whether you prefer salty, briny, creamy, large or small. i highly recommend the raw bar which changes daily, but they always seem to have my favorite- the amberjack, which comes with jalepenos and tangerine. the dining is five-star but don't feel like you need to dress up. the atmosphere atparksideis understated and comfortable. i love parkside, i just wish it was still open til 3 am!!
